I was meeting a friend in Cibolo for a girls wine night and arrived about 45 minutes early. As I didn't want to go into the restaurant and wait, I decided to go into the Shops at the Mill to check it out and see what I could find. Inside was this cute little ice cream place where the menu looked delicious! I decided to try a small scoop of ice cream before meeting my girls because the menu just looked so incredible. Not only did they have unique flavors, like pecan pie, Ferrero Rocher, and Mexican vanilla but they also had the traditional flavors like vanilla and strawberry. The young lady behind the counter was very helpful in making recommendations and letting me sample the flavors before selecting my ice cream. Every flavor I tried was delicious, but I decided to go with the Pecan Pie. I definitely recommend stopping in this little ice cream shop and also shopping at the Mercantile that it is within... I love this store, it's more of a boutique than an ice cream place. But everything is so dang cute. They have clothes, accessories, and goodies for men and women. They also have home decor which is so nice. The car fresheners smell amazing, and they're big like the ones at Bucc-ees. Everyone compliments me on the things I've gotten from here. This ice cream was most certainly delicious . It was that rich and sweet vanilla flavor and the cookie pieces were so soft that if you took a bite of the ice cream it was very smooth. It's a double scoop in the cone and the cone itself featured chocolates dipped with sprinkles. The chocolate went perfectly well with the ice cream and would probably be even better with regular vanilla. The chocolate cone didn't overpower the rest of the ice cream. We enjoyed the laid back at retro atmosphere. I must shout out, Celine for her customer service. We tried three desserts and all were great. If you love pecans then the pecan pie ice is a must. It has an abundance of pecans in it. The Mexican vanilla ice cream with vanilla bean versus extract was delicious. The show stopper (picture) was the brownie bowl. It consists of two chosen flavors of ice cream, brownie, hot fudge, caramel(added), whip cream, sprinkles, and topped of with a cherry. This spot is addictive :) read more

I've visited The Mill ever since it first opened. The owners have always been very friendly and helpful. They were raised in the area and try to provide things that especially people from Cibolo would appreciate and enjoy. They've really come a long way! Started with a boutique in the main room, and they've tried all kinds of things like yoga and painting classes in the room up the steps. Stop and talk to the owners when you visit, they really are quality people. I stopped in today and had some ice cream since I had a break in my day. I make my own ice cream and feel that ingredients make all the difference. Absolutely exceptional, their ice cream! I tried the peach sorbet and the strawberry ice cream. So very good! Very creamy, great texture, perfect temperature, didn't melt right away so you know it had sat an appropriate amount of time, but also not hard so you know it's fresh! The woman who served it was quick and served with a smile. What else could you ask for. I sat at one of the tables and enjoyed my scoops in peace and quiet. Great experience and I look forward to visiting again soon to try more flavors! read more

I don't particularly like ice cream, or it could be I don't enjoy store-bought ice creams. So this place has been a pleasant surprise and experience. *I have only tried ice cream and toppings. I have not tried their other products, such as floats/shakes, coffee/tea, or baked goods.* Food: ice cream selection are plenty. Seasonal flavors are a must! Don't miss out! New flavors are always coming out and won't disappoint. Cone assortments are never stale, and toppings are fresh. Service: staff is wonderfully patient. I wanted to take my children for a treat, and they convinced me to try because they believed I would like this ice cream, so it took me some time to choose. Good ice cream! I had the salted caramel!! So good! The issue for me was the vibe and customer service here! My daughter and I were sitting at the table waiting for our waffle bowl. The bowl was brought to the table without any words uttered. No, "Here you go" or "Enjoy" or Thank you." Something was off about the two girls working at the ice cream shop. There's a huge difference between kindness and niceness! Kindness is in you! It's natural, not forced. Niceness is forced, unnatural. The ladies were nice and their attitude created a vibe that made me want to hurry up and leave. My three year old actually said, "Mommy, I don't like this place." I'm not sure if those ladies are related to the owners but this place would turn around instantly if it employed genuinely kind people! read more

Definitely worth a trip out to Cibolo if you're within driving distance. We went this past Sunday upon the recommendation of a Cibolo-resident. Thank for friends in the know! The Sea Salt Cookie Fudge will change your whole life. It has a nice punch of salt and it's seriously swoon-worthy. The Toasted Coconut, Mexican Vanilla, and Buffalo Tracks were the other flavors I tried (and loved). Pecan Pie was another group favorite. Instead of paying for approximate scoops, you pay for your ice cream by the ounce. Something I'm a huge fan of. The ice cream shop is located in a quaint gift shop in a quaint town on Main St. You can't beat it for hometown feel right outside of the big city. read more

The Scoop at the Mill in Cibolo is a smaller sized ice cream shop in the store. They have an exclusive flavor called buffalo tracks which it chocolate covered pretzels in a salted caramel flavor ice cream. I give that one 5 stars. Totally unique flavor and its always very good. My second favorite is the pecan pie flavor. Again, 5 stars. No, you're not gonna find the "31 flavors" like a famous brand store up the road, BUT you will find excellent ice cream, sundaes, shakes, malts etc. all in a very nice vintage mill store setting. Have some ice cream and browse through the store for that special gift. It's a great place to just "be" for a while. read more

We wandered in for Small Business Saturday. We looked around Mill Boutique and then had some yummy ice cream. I got Mexican vanilla & was soo glad there was a milk-free option for my daughter! She got the raspberry sorbet -delish! I was glad for ONE ..but a choice would have been better. We both enjoyed our treat. Lots of families here & there was a cute little table for the little guys. After reading the previous review, I'd like to add a comment. I go into this store weekly and have mentioned the temperature of the store to the girls that work there on several occasions. This is most certainly not a one time occurrence; it was over 80 degrees in there yesterday afternoon. Thankfully, they are much more kind and receptive in their responses than the owner was to Debbie. Although the employees and the ice cream are great, rude replies from the owner will stop me from going back. read more

My absolute favorite ice cream is Buffalo Tracks...it is caramel and chocolate-covered pretzels in an ice cream...so good! The Mexican Vanilla and Pistachio were also my dad's favorite. I am super picky about my sorbet so I was a little hesitant to order it but OH. MY. GOSH! the raspberry sorbet was phenomenal. I love the little bits of seeds and truly delightful, saturated flavor. My hubby got had the strawberry and it was a little underwhelming as it seemed like vanilla mixed with Smuckers strawberry jam.
