This beautiful restaurant sits right on the Neches River, offering a relaxing and scenic atmosphere. Whether you choose to sit downstairs or upstairs on the patio, you'll enjoy watching boats and ships glide by while sharing great food and even better company. It's the perfect setting to slow down, relax, and enjoy the moment. Our service was absolutely top-tier! Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and despite our party of 40-50 guests, the food came out quickly and efficiently. No one was left waiting, and that kind of service deserves recognition! We kicked things off with a delicious Sampler Platter featuring crispy boudin balls, fried green tomatoes, cheese sticks, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. Everything arrived piping hot, fresh, and full of flavor! For my entrée, I chose the Chargrilled Salmon topped with a rich lemon butter sauce. I swapped the rice for green beans, and it also came with a fresh vegetable medley. The salmon was perfectly cooked--moist, tender, and never dry. Just the way I like it! My husband ordered the Atchafalaya Catfish--blackened catfish fillets topped with crawfish tails and a buttery lemon sauce, served with dirty rice and green beans. He gave it two thumbs up! From the beautiful riverside views to the outstanding hospitality and delicious food, The Neches River Wheelhouse made our family celebration even more special. Now I need your help! A Wonderful Birthday Celebration!…read more We visited Pine Tree Lodge to celebrate my sister's birthday, and we had such a great experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing. Our waitress was incredibly sweet, attentive, and patient--even though we had her running back and forth taking care of everything we needed. She simply enlisted a little help when necessary and still made sure everyone at our table was taken care of. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a good time. The food was really good, but the drinks and appetizers were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Definitely don't skip those! Because of the heat, we decided to sit inside, but the outdoor atmosphere looked beautiful. I'm already looking forward to coming back when the weather is a little cooler so I can enjoy a drink while taking in the view of the water, alligators, and turtles. Overall, Pine Tree Lodge was a great choice for celebrating my sister's birthday. Good food, AMAZING drinks and appetizers, wonderful service, and a unique atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

They were pretty busy, but he still made sure we were taken care of and made our experience great! AMBIENCE: We came here for my father's birthday, and making reservations online beforehand was super easy. The inside is so cool and has a very upscale feel. We loved learning about the history of the building and restaurant, and with all of the pieces and decor on the walls, it almost feels like a museum. Definitely take a few minutes to walk around and look at everything while you're there!

I've had versions where the celery flavor is very prominent, but I thought this one had a lighter flavor since the celery had been chopped smaller. The rice had less of a bite than other étouffée I've had and was similar to regular rice, which I like. There was only (2) plump shrimps and several tiny but well-cooked crawfish in it, but I understand that's what is available right now. The shrimp and grits comes covered with a creamy sauce and slices of andouille sausage. I had a bite from my sister's shrimp and grits and thought they were pretty good but creamier than the other dishes. The grits were kept more basic as flavors of the sauce and meats were already heavy.

They were posted up in the parking lot right next to service & in a rush to make it for my service appt, I didn't have lunch so it was right on time! First off, I love their setup. It's owned by a nice young couple. The wife has a little table setup where she has the menu & takes payments but their trailer where the guy cook from?! I love it. They took a standard trailer & setup a pit and a cooking station and covered it. Kudos to them on that! On to the most important part, the food! I got the Boudin Sausage with Red Beans & Rice. The sausage was smoked perfectly, juicy and had good flavor. The red beans & rice were well seasoned, perfectly cooked and went down well in every bite! I also got the lemonade which also tasted great. Definitely recommend this spot & looking forward to see how it grows!
