Unless you grew up in the swamplands of Louisiana, when you pull up to this truck stop cafe you probably will just continue down the bayou and not stop. Let me try to convince you to try it first. Near the Louisiana- Texas border this cafe is attached to a truck stop and casino. The inside has a country feel to it and the staff were more than friendly. Been to my share of these kind of places and they are hit / miss at best. This one is a hit for once. The pepper jack boudin egg roll is different but worth the try. We went simple with both grilled and fried chicken and surprisingly it was good. Prices are more than reasonable and overall it was a good experience as we were pressed for time to get back on the road. Like most greasy spoons the restrooms are not great but good enough for a quick wash up. Didn't have time to play the slots but since my Cajun is a bit rusty , wasn't sure where to cash out if I won. read more

I don't normally leave reviews. Waitress was very friendly, fries were soft & chewy, salad was soft & limp, pork chops were 1/4" thick. Not kidding. Don't reckon i'll be back just for food. Come through all the time for parking which is good. read more

Food was very good and very inexpensive (had breakfast: sausage biscuit, French toast, combo, breakfast bowl, coffee; family of four was under $50 including tip). Service was friendly and paced well. Restroom was clean. Located right off I-10 in Louisiana close to the Texas border, so very convenient if you need to stop for a meal. Only knocking down a star because you have to navigate through casino smoke to get to the restroom; otherwise a great little hidden gem. read more

I've been here an hour and I still don't have food they are out of 2 different things we tried to order

Terrible food, terrible service and terrible ambiance. This place took almost 2 hours to serve our food place was not busy, orders came out wrong and food came out burnt. If you read steak on the menu it's NOT steak it's a burger patty wrapped in bacon . Some of there menu item were not available . I would recommend you DO NOT waste your time stopping here worst place I've ever been to unfortunately. read more

The food was good diner treats. The guitars on the walls with articles from their famous musicians was a great theme for the location. The staff although limited in number made up for it with great skill and thoughtfulness. See past the exterior and enjoy the food and atmosphere. 3.5 Stars - We stopped to get a bite on our drive from NOLA to H-Town because there was a horrific traffic jam on I-10 due to accidents and construction. The staff is warm, friendly and accommodating, and the food is decent. We had the Grilled Chicken and the Taco Salad, both of which were well seasoned and plentiful. wish I wouldve known about this place sooner. The diner is great. The service was on the slower side but the waitress was very busy and extremely gracious. The food made the wait completely worth it. I had the country fried steak and my boyfriend had the chuck wagon for breakfast. Delicious. Also the soda was great. As a truck driver Ive discovered not every fountain machine is made equal and the sodas here were crisply carbonated and balanced perfectly with the syrup. Highly recommend! read more

I love this place but today my aunt ordered the overloaded shrimp PoBoy when it got to the table it was anything but over loaded I know every place is cutting back but really take the word overloaded of the item it are used to be 5 ounces of shrimp they cut down to 4 ounces this poboy looks sad Stead of cutting back on the shrimp up your price a little everyone know you eat with your eyes first lol but would I recommend this place sure will the food is great the taste is great read more

Cold food, water tastes like toilet water, server didn't check up on us once. They are understaffed but there was barley anyone there where one of the two servers could've checked up on us. The fried chicken and fries were good, the fried foods was the only good thing IMO. read more

First time here for lunch (normally eat breakfast). Man have I been missing out. Ordered the steak fingers and added fried shrimp. The steak fingers were so tender. Great seasoning not to bland not too spicy. Shrimp were fried to perfection. Can't wait to explore more of the menu. read more
