HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & ROACHES!!! Was not greeted when we walked in. The restaurant was filthy, the waiters clearly did not want to work here. Ordered 4 meals for 4 people, 2 meals came out, waited an extra 15 mins for the other 2 meals. Waffle burnt and waiter tried arguing that it was not burnt. She proceeded to talk about us to the kitchen and they made a huge deal out of it. Brought out burnt toast, so bad it was black. Then proceeded to talk about us in front of the restaurant. Absolutely unacceptable and uncalled for. One dad/son said, "we don't think our food will ever come out." They waited another 30 mins for their food to come out. Just moved to the area and decided to try this diner. Everything started great I wanted coffee with flavored creamer, the waitress brought out her personal stash "mounds almond joy" which I hadn't tried and the creamer was great and I was impressed at the waitress extra special service. Then we sat for over 20 min with no waitress or acknowledgment, the place wasn't that busy and seem to have plenty of staff. We waited another 9 min and then paid for the cup of coffee and left. It appeared as we leaving that our waitress an another were taking a smoking break outside. We always enjoy trying new places ... but we've checked this one off our list. read more

This is a terrible place to choose for breakfast. They are rude and my silverware had stains and leftover food.

Service was lousy, dining room was gross, and the eggs benedict I ordered had eggs cooked over-hard instead of poached. Plus, the English muffin wasn't even toasted so it was extremely chewy and difficult to cut, and the hollandaise sauce was lumpy for some reason. At least the price isn't bad for the amount of food you get. If you don't have high standards for your breakfast food (or probably any other meal) then this is the place for you! read more

- Robert, my husband and I visited for breakfast. I had the pecan waffle, bacon and shared the crispy hashbrowns. My better half had the short stack, the pan sausage (which was almost the size of a hamburger patty- which blew us away), and the other portion of the browns. It was yummy! The food is good as I've eaten here a few times for breakfast and dinner. Pancakes are delicious! Try the western omelette, and hamburger steak if you're a fan. prices are more than fair. Was turned off by the reviews but tried it anyway. Was pleasantly surprised. Our server Amanda was very nice and spot on with the coffee refills. She was slammed but we were in no hurry so if the food came slow we didn't notice....we had the weekly special breakfast and they were way cheap and delicious. We went to Lake Charles to gamble but we also didn't want to stay in the casinos to eat the whole time we were there so my boyfriend and I decided to venture out. This is one of the first things that came up for breakfast so we gave it a try. When we arrived it didn't seem like anything special, just an old dinner. But once we looked at the menu we were very glad we chose this place. The menu was decent size (not to big to be overwhelmed and had a good variety). The items are also very reasonable. We are typically used to $10-$15 per person for breakfast in Austin so this seemed like a steal. If we go to Lake Charles again we will definitely hit this place up.
