Very friendly & welcoming! Clean & neat diner-type restaurant. This was a nice stop for lunch while traveling from the Houston area.

My husband had the crawfish baked potato, while I went with the fish. We both got a side of red beans and rice, and it was absolutely delicious.

My family and I came here for my Mom's birthday and it did not disappoint! The food was rich and very flavorful! Portions were also good for the price. The line was a pretty long when we got there but the workers were very efficient, so the line went by fast! The decor, smells, and sounds really made it feel like a true Cajun restaurant! I recommend stopping by if you have the chance!

I've reviewed this restaurant before with regard to their excellent homestyle cooking but I accidentally left off that they have the best cracklin my husband has ever had. He's that person that has been on a quest for the best!!A connoisseur of sorts! highly recommend stopping by if this is your snack of choice. It's a must do whenever we come into town from Houston, Texas.

Wow. 6/5. If you're in the area and looking for authentic, slap ya momma good Cajun food. This place is it. You can tell the recipes have been passed down from generations so you know it'll be good. Inside it's that old school dinner feel which adds to your experience. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Ask the Community - Leonard's Food Quarters

So it says no substations on everything. Does that mean you can't have your food the way you want it? Their way or the highway?

Melissa, we don't allow substitutions on the Waitr delivery. But you can definitely substitute and have it your way if you call in and pick up. Thank you for your patronage.

The interior is also big and very tidy! There was a small welcoming staff there to greet us. The grilled oysters were topped with chopped peppers and bacon bits - came out hot and the oysters were plump and big! Very very tasty! It was about 30$ for a dozen oysters - so quite affordable for the size of oysters. Great bite and starter. I ordered the Atchafalaya, which had fried catfish and crawfish etouffee gravy smothered on top. The rice was a bit underdone which made the over taste of the dish not as cohesive. The crawfish pieces were abundant, but slightly mushy. The sweet potato fried side dish that came with the dish was perfect though - soft interior and slightly crisp exterior. The portion size was huge and I wasn't able to finish the dish. I'd definitely recommend trying the oysters on the menu, and next time, I'll need to try the fresh oysters!

In addition to being a great seafood restaurant, it's also a seafood market where you can pick up things to cook at home. It's convenient to I-10, so travelers could easily exit, eat, and get back on the road. This is a simple and easy place to navigate when you know the method. First grab a menu or look at the one on the wall, next walk up to the counter and order and pay. You'll get a number you carry to a table. A server will bring you your food when it's ready, which generally is pretty quick. Then you eat and leave. What to eat? Well that's a good question! Most everything there is great. Seafood is the star of the show, and one can't go wrong with a seafood platter. This is a huge pile of everything that can serve two normal humans. Too often I ordered the Medium Shrimp Platter, there's nothing wrong with this choice, but I needed to try other different things. A Seafood Stuffed Baked Potato is a great choice, and very filling. For the grazers there are some solid whole meal salads. Last time I was in I just got a Fish Platter, which has two huge fillets with fries, coleslaw, and bread. Gumbo and etouffe are good choices too! I really have no idea if their dessert is any good as I never have room for any. I guess one could get some to go...

Pretty easy to get to when traveling east on I-10. We found easy parking, Buffi's is at the corner of Broad & Bilbo Street. Great vibes right from the get go. There's a pretty mural on the side of the building, great photo op for those that are doing it for the 'Gram. The interior is cutely decorated, black and white checkered table cloths. It's self service at the counter. After looking over the menu, we decided on a small bowl of Shrimp & Corn Chowder along with a full size All American Peauxboy. I'm not a corn guy but my wife said the chowder was delicious. The Peauxboy was fantastic. If you would have told me the bread was baked an hour before I ate the sandwich, I would have believed you.
