Attended the Jim Gaffagain show last night at the Paramount last night. the show was great but I will not be returning to this venue. The pre show music was ridiculously loud with a really heavy Base. nobody was there to dance. there was no reason for the music to be that loud. I actually had a headache by the time the show started, which definitely affected my enjoyment of the evening. when I asked one of the employees why it was so loud she said "The show will start soon.". read more

Been going here for a long time. Great concerts right in the village of Huntington parking. Not that good but the venue your place is great. The VIP set up is a must for anyone who goes there get your nice little section and you don't have to worry about being crowded. read more

I have to say that I do love the intimacy of this venue. It is small enough that it really doesn't matter what "seats" you get bc most of the view points are decent. Overall, the staff is great. SOME of the security men are completely arrogant rats. They thrive on yelling and pushing people out of the way. One man was literally cursing at a crowd instead of being professional. I'm sure it isn't an easy job. HOWEVER, clearly, people are there bc they LOVE the performers. Be professional, please and not a complete d*%#head. *endrant* We had wanted to catch a glimpse of the artist leaving and many security guards directed us to go one place, which clearly was not it. Just be honest, please, and tell your clientele that it's not going to happen. We waited over an hour in a very classless group of people who were literally fighting each other and being complete ugly New Yorkers. No wonder the artist didn't make an appearance. Will definitely return as I love the venue but Paramount, if you read this, please reevaluate your staffing. 98% are lovely but that 2% is really disappointing. read more

The Paramount is a tale of 2 venues. Pre and post Covid. The post Covid Paramount is absolutely terrible. I just attended Collective Soul last night. I always see this band when they come to The Paramount. After last night, I will never be back. Let's discus the good and the bad: The Good-- nothing! The bad- The place is an absolute dump! What was once a clean venue, and certainly ranked up there as one of the best I've ever attended, is now a garbage strewn mess. The garbage cans weren't emptied and were all over flowing on the floor. The bathrooms were disgusting. The Founders Club. The bartenders no longer dress in 1920's Flappers. The tables in the club were filled with food and dishes and napkins and whatever else. Nothing was cleaned up. The drinks were terrible. I single Makers Mark and 1 bottle of water was $25 bucks. The drinks through the venue, in the club, upstairs at the bar and inside the concert were all watered down and there is a strong possibility the bottles are not filled with top shelf liquor. -the ac was not on in the venue last night. The amount of heat inside that joint, when the temperature outside was already in the 90's was brutal. There was no air movement. No fans no nothing. I've been to The Paramount for years now. And on a pretty regular basis. Last night was without question my last time I will ever step foot in that dump! This place rocks to see a show! It was my first time here tonight and we saw the Dropkick Murphys!! The show was absolutely killer! BUT now onto the review! Okay so first off I love how this music venue is really for the music! When you get to the seating they have balcony seats but it's not like other places I've been too. You really get a good view of the stage even when your seated against the wall. They have seats with airline style pretzels waiting for you!! *Hooray for 4 mini pretzels in a bag!!* They have two really nice sized projector screens on both sides of the stage that are crystal clear if you don't feel like being in the heart of all the drunk girls, sweaty guys, moshers and wishful crowd surfers (watch out for a converse to the nose.) Okay so now lemme give you a little once over of the "bars". You better come with a stuffed wallet for these exquisite selection of beers. LOL. But let's be real now....$13 for a Stella? Nope! Now I did notice that there were a few places to get a drink which is nice, although the first one I stepped up to I had the choice of just 2 beers on tap. Yes. Just two. Okey dokey! Let's skip that for now. After doing some exploring I found a spot that looked like that would change my luck seeing as it had much more a selection. I ask the bartender for a beer and she says I have to order from a waitress. Oh? They apparently have serving service if you sit in a seat at the balcony. So I wander around looking for a waitress and finally scored a beer! I can't tell you how much of a punch to the gut it was to pay $8 for a PBR. Otherwise the staff were all very friendly and the space is really open and clean which I can totally appreciate. Bathrooms seemed kept up with & being a chick that's a pretty big deal! I had the opportunity (thanks, Yelp!) to finally check out the Paramount for the Strangelove: the Depeche Mode Experience show the other night, and was really impressed with the space. After going through security, we were prompted up the stairs to the general admission section. On the walls were different handwritten lyrics, which I thought was pretty cool. On the general admission floor there were three bars and plenty of space to move around. There is also an additional floor with seating, but I didn't check that out. I was really impressed with the overall decor of the space. I loved the exposed beams and industrial look. I thought the sound and lighting were great for the show, and I was able to walk right up to the stage during the performance. I'm so happy I was finally able to check out this space, and I can wait to go back! read more

Village of Huntington's live music venue is super. Great improvement to Huntington the last few years... this is a destination village that people come to for a nice day / night out... why not a live theater.... definitely a needed addition to the regular and independent movies theaters.. This is live music! So last year... first visit was wowed..... Toad the Wet Sprocket, and another band both good. Tip to first time ticket buyers, regular tickets are standing in the middle of the open floor. Upgrade to seats or VIP if not into open standing. Waitresses came around bringing drinks and food for VIP so worth the upgrade. read more

Dangerous. There is no security inside the venue. When you buy tickets as soon as they're available and score expensive seats fourth row center you should have an unobstructed view of the stage, but even in the front rows management allows chaos to exist in violation of safety rules and fire codes. Dangerously drunk people from the back were allowed to wander to the front of the front row seats and stand there obstructing the views of paying customers and blocking the aisles. It's a shame - I really want to like this venue, they have a lot of great acts. But for music I won't go again, the sound is so loud as to be distorted. Some bands I have seen outside this venue, so I know they are top notch and high quality, but whatever is going on with the sound control at the Paramount ruins the show. Went to this venue for the first time to see the Brit Floyd show. Staff at this venue are great. Setup is a little weird, feels more like a nightclub than a theater. The bar off to the side and the standing room ticket area seemed to encourage a lot of conversation during the performance, which was kind of distracting and annoying. read more

Great shows. Not too many bad seats in the place. There is always a line to get in so maybe stream lining security would work better. Drinks are outrageously priced which caused the 4 star. Oddly they have bathroom attendants which makes for an interesting or awkward toilet time. No one wants to be handed a paper towel or have to take their wallet out to tip and touch money with either used toilet hands or clean washed hands. Get with the program here. read more

Always a fun time at this venue. The ga floor is large with big bars and great views of the stage. The sound is excellent. And their are screens everywhere so you won't miss anything. We saw mystic river the rush cover band and they were great. The bathrooms are clean and the staff are helpful. This venue is the go to place for concerts. I have literally been going there since they opened the doors. They are always improving and expanding. They get all the top acts. I go to at least 10-15 shows a year at the Paramount. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food is limited inside the venue but plenty of options just outside for before or after the show. My only complaint would be, PARKING! Parking is a nightmare. So, be sure to arrive early. There is a municipal lot. But that fills up fast with all the restaurants and commuters. Street parking is limited but available. I personally love The Paramount. read more

I've been to this venue a few times. Mostly for parties in the founders room. It is really a group of rooms. Some have little secret areas. My office has our holiday party there now. The other night I popped in for a show and just took in the place. The theater is basically what you need for shows too big for bars or clubs, but that are too small for the larger concert venues. With bars on the side, you don't have to miss any of the show. It has a nice intimate feel too. The elephant in the room about the place is that Huntington can be a nightmare for parking. You can get lucky or you can drive laps around the lots and streets. It's a nice place for a mid size show or an event. read more

For area residents it's a great find not to have to take a long drive or train into NYC or Brooklyn to larger arenas the new bar Hs opened up to the outside street for a glamorous sneak peek into the relaxing local vibe. The paramount has a website one can watch to find a music favorite. Only two choices for seating keep the prices very affordable. I came here twice in the last two weeks. The first was for a the "Fun in the Summer Sun" concert with Marcy Playground, Fuel, Alien Ant Farm and Dishwalla. The second was for a company party. I had won tickets (thanks Yelp!) for general admission which was standing on the floor for this particular concert. They don't hold tickets at the box office (my +1 was running late), but said it was no problem for me to come back out to pass the ticket over. I watched the concert from the middle of the floor. Audio was decent and lighting effects were outstanding. There was plenty of room to dance or sway. The company event was indeed one of the most unique and unusual ones that I have attended compared to those in the past. This was mainly because of the performers. A pair of acrobats climbed up ribbons and artfully went into different formations. Later those acrobats did tricks on two hoops suspended from the ceiling. A stilted man in a glowing suit came on to the dance floor to join the celebration. He was followed by an assistant to create fog around him wherever he walked. A giant screen took up the entire stage that featured posts from Instagram from the event by using specific hashtags. A list of achievements from the past year also appeared on the screen. Food was buffet style, but it seemed to take awhile to serve everyone. Some dishes were good: the salmon was extremely tender and melted in your mouth. The chicken was juicy and had a pleasant spicy kick. Others were awful: the "steak" was too tough to chew. The bartenders were excellent. They were quick, knowledge and made anything you wanted. There were some featured cocktails. Green Day was sweet and had a smooth melon flavor. Red Hot Chili Peppers was a gin and tonic with a fruity finish. Both drinks were strong in terms of alcohol. Valet parking was an issue since it filled up quickly and it was not clear where to go. Bathrooms were clean. Overall a fun & unforgettable night! read more

Your emergency protocol is horrible. In the event of a real emergency, hundreds of people, if not thousands, WILL be harmed. My mother and I went to a show at your venue a few weeks ago. About two-thirds of the way through, there was a loud "pop!", the lights turned on, and your emergency recording kept announcing "there has been a report of an emergency. Please evacuate through your nearest fire exit." Hundreds of us flocked to the nearest exit, to the left of the bar on the ground level, and yet there was a security guard standing in front of the door NOT LETTING US LEAVE. Old people with walkers were pushed to the ground. Others in wheelchairs were pushed into corners because they had no idea where there was an elevator. And the security agent just stood there with his arms crossed. In the middle of chaos, with people thinking we'd be burned alive or worse, he stood there holding back hundreds of us, despite the recording telling us to vacate the premises IMMEDIATELY. After a solid 3 minutes of the crowd yelling at him (and some people threatening to trample him if he didn't move, rightfully so), he finally did. We rushed out, some people carrying the older people who couldn't walk down the fire exit stairs, and walked to the front of the building to see Huntington FD storming the venue. Thank God they said there was no fire and we were never in any real danger, but many patrons made sure to tell the chief just how horrible the emergency protocol was. No direction, exits blocked, etc. When we called the next day to complain to a manager, THEY SAID THEY HAD NO IDEA THAT ANY OF THAT HAPPENED. We were stunned. Absolutely stunned. You mean to tell me your fire alarms go off, a show is abruptly ended, and the fire department shows up at your door step, and you had no idea? Inexcusable. There were children there that night. And your staff couldn't have cared less. read more

(see my photos) Nice guy! They really should have escorted out a drunk, loud guy behind me. Be prepared, it gets loud in there. All in all, the concert was good! Very reasonable ticket prices. Be prepared - you go through a metal detector and they search your bag. I took off 1 star because they really squeeze in the seats and the main floor section - god forbid they have a fire, it takes forever to get out. Also, there is no security on the main floor to police the riff/raff, drunks - that's why I chose to pay a few bucks extra to sit up top. read more

I was happy to receive this ticket giveaway to see the Artist formerly known as "Prince" band play at the Paramount NPG. Great music venue. It provides more of intimate concert setting. Good sound quality throughout the venue. VIP seating was on the floor and the upper level. 3 bars to meet your drink needs and and drink specials offered. When concerts are not going on here they have stand up comics. For you sports lovers big game events shown on there large screens. The ushers and security were all nice. Spectators were able to sing dance and have a good time listening to great throwback music. Yelp Gods continue to work in my favor for 2019. read more

First I need to say the venue is great to see and enjoy a concert, I have been there many many times since it opened and will continue to go. Now On Dec. 10th I went to see Hot Tuna as is my norm. I purchased a ticket for the Saturday nights show, or so I thought. My ticket was purchased in the summer and I put the date in my refrigerator calendar. Hot Tuna played 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. My ticket was for Friday night, Not Saturday and I did not realize this until I got to the door. The very young nice lady scanning tickets directed me to the manager for help. I very politely explained my bone head mistake and asked for some consideration, explaining how much I love the theater, been there many times etc...I also explained that I am a senior and this is my very first senior moment. The "manager" who refused to give me her name flat out refused to help and with a fake smile on her face basically said for another $99.00 I could by another ticket. I tried explaining my bonehead mistake and took full responsibility for it ( these things can happen ). It would have been very nice for her to understand and give me a general admission or even a standing room ticket as a courtesy. What made this worse was her attitude and refusal to even consider being a decent human being. I wish I had this condescending lady's name but she refused to give it. She was probably in her 30's with shoulder length dark hair. This was very poor management and very sorry customer service. I do hope someone from The Paramount see this and gives her some customer relation training, she needs it read more

This is our ladies night go-to concert place. I have been there many times to see concerts and each time is better than the last. We were there on 2/7/20 to see Voyage and they rocked the place. We arrived early and were seated promptly at our reserved table in the Founders Room. What a great place to relax and have drinks with friends. We ordered our drinks (Prosecco and Chambourd) but our server suggested that we try something else that was very similar. I cannot recall the name but it was so good that we ordered a second round. She was super friendly and just wanted us to have fun. The Founder's Room is a membership only type of bar. It is elegant yet fun. The decor is beautiful. The private rooms are absolutely amazing. I've been in the Shawshank Room which is like a jail cell with a faux electric chair. We will be heading back there as soon as we can. read more

The Paramount is a nice place and there are some good shows, however based on the number of people that walked out on Sunday evening they already know what I am writing about. Sunday night they had singer JEWEL and her family. To say they were terrible was a understatement and I will leave it at that. Regarding the complicity of the Paramount in this miserable evening: We have been to the Paramount many times and we normally come hungry , get something to eat and have a few drinks. On Sunday you couldn't even get a bottle of water, so I would think that if they are changing the way they operate it might be nice to tell those of us spending $800 on tickets. Maybe the health department had an issue and shut the food and beverage down, I can't think of any other reason. In any case shame on you Paramount you should review the show you book and get that beverage and food issue fixed. read more

I've been to see music and comedy at this venue, and I should start by saying it's awesome to have the chance to see some bigger names (relatively) here (and many not so big names here). And it's a very nice venue in terms of aesthics. And I have never even had to wait in line for the women's room. That being said... The prices for things at this place are ludicrous. $9 for a 12 oz Bud when I last went 12/2018. (The beer selection is pretty dismal.) Service is somewhat efficient, though not particularly friendly. The coat check is $8 (cash only!). Prices are just silly. I know LI is expensive, but these are worse than city prices in comparable venues. General admission affords a nice view of the stage at all vantage points. The seats in the back are good, too. (And there are large tvs to help you see what's on stage.) But the loge seats, which are expensive, are awful. They are narrow, wooden chairs with minimal padding, and they are right up against one another. I got them for one show when I wasn't able to stand for a long period of time but wanted a good view of show. Such a mistake. They were so uncomfortable and we were awkwardly pressed up against strangers next to us. It was ridiculous; I'd never pay for it again. A plus for the area are that there are places to eat and drink pre-show, and there is ample parking, lots of it free. All in all, it's a nice place to see a show, but think about what you're paying for with your seat choice and maybe skip the drink. read more

I have been to this venue a couple of times. I have seen a couple of concerts here and a comedy show. They were all good. The first one that I went to started extremely late and I remember being a little upset about this. The second concert was a couple of weeks ago and I decided to come a little late because I didn't want to wait too long for the show to get started. This was not a good move because I missed the opening band and was more interested in checking them out. The other time I went to The Paramount was for a comedy show and that was great. The Paramount is a nice venue. I think that the way it is set up is really nice and it's a great venue for shows. read more

The Paramount in Huntington a.k.a. The Heart of Huntington is one of the nicest small concert venues that I've ever seen. The inside was beautifully designed. Has you walk up the stairs to your seats you will notice that song lyrics cover all of the walls from ceiling to floor. Lately they have been attracting some big names to this tiny venue. Two major pros of attending a concert here are: Seating- The worst seat in the house is still a great one. Acoustics- Unlike alot of other concert venues the acoustics in this one are great. With these pros comes two cons: Pricing- Since it is a small venue ticket prices can get pretty high depending on the artist. Parking- Parking in the village is an absolute nightmare. The small public lots in town also have to hold cars for the now 92 restaurants in the village (actual number, I didn't make this up). Easiest way to remedy this is to get there super early and have dinner before the show. It will save you from a headache and you'll be supporting local businesses at the same time. Why is the Paramount called the Heart of Huntington? Well, it's located right in the center of Huntington Village. If your walking by late at night you can hear it's heart beating. It's both cool and creepy at the same time. It kind of reminds me of the Tell Tail Heart. Definitely take a walk by if your in the area. All and all I would definitely recommend seeing a concert here. read more

Can't give this place 5 stars due to really, really cramped seating. Otherwise, small, intimate and fairly good accoustics. Tix are reasonably priced given the market elsewhere. $15 for a draft beer is a bit steep but guess it isn't too different at other Long Island venues. Have enjoyed several acts here and will return. So come on Paramount, get rid of a couple of folding chairs in each row for a super easy fix to the intrusive, cramped seating. Add $5 to each seat to make up the cash difference and we can enjoy the show and be comfortable!!! Otherwise, you might as well introduce yourself to the person sitting next to as your thighs, elbows and shoulders try to share the same space. Ain't pretty unless you are a kid or small adult. read more

This is how you treat a customer ( FYI: the Paramount came through like a champ) I was involved in a peculiar incident at the Paramount while attending an event there on June 9. I thought about voicing my opinion to the venue but I told myself "why bother? Who cares about the little guy?" Reluctantly I called and figured that I would get the run around. I was immediately blown away by the Paramount representative that I spoke with. She was very considerate and empathetic. I was allowed to say my peace and given the extension to one of the managers. I was also informed that someone would definitely get back to me. Much to my surprise someone indeed reached out to me. The CFO of the venue called me himself. He could not have been any nicer and understanding. He actually made me feel like I was an important customer of their business and I mattered.  Thank you so much for your consideration and respect. I love the place. But they need to do a better job with enforcing wearing masks. On Saturday one example was a man that was bald that knew the staff and never put a mask on. He walked around like he owned the bar. There were others dancing that also did not have mask. read more

Went to see Belinda Carlisle at the Paramount in Huntington. The show was great, not very crowed but enough people to make it exciting. I remember her from the Go Go's back in the day. She still has a great voice and we were close enough to the stage to enjoy the show. The Paramount is located in Huntington Village which has much to offer. The staff at the Paramount were efficient and courteous. They host many shows, some of which my children had gone to several times. They always have something going on for many different venues. It's a great place to see a show and relax and enjoy what the village has to offer. I will be back. read more

I can not believe that I never wrote a review for the best venue on Long Island after going here a bunch of times. It is right in the middle of Huntington with plenty to see and eat and do around this place. Parking is tricky around here in general so give yourself some extra time. They have municipal lots as well as a paid lot for the venue but it is up the block. You know parking is a thing with me. lol The staff are friendly here from the bartenders to the security, which is great because they are usually tough at places like this. So relax...you are good here. I have been here for numerous concerts and even a boxing match. The small/medium sized venue if perfect as there is not a bad seat in the house. Good drinks and they offer food as well. I keep an eye on their lineup and will go to anything that I am interested in...always a great experience here! read more

Loved this venue, first time here and saw Steve O. His show was hilarious and crazy I loved it. I saw at the fourth row on the floor and it was awesome seeing him that close. The venue was cool too, they had a bar before you go in, and people selling food and merch. There was no price for parking where I went which was nice. And security and everything was friendly and easy too. Definitely recommend coming here for a show! read more
