Located in Huntington Village, a swanky part of Long Island, this venue exceeded my expectations. It's a very small intimate venue that has two full bars on each side on the floor, one on the second floor and another one in the sky bar area. No matter which seat(s) you get in the mezzanine section, it is an unobstructed view of the stage. The floor is not for me as I am very short and I don't like the feeling of being claustrophobic. At 66, Andy McCluskey of OMD had to postpone the touring of their new album (Bauhaus Staircase) due to a major knee surgery. Finally back on the road and with his new titanium knee he performed and moved around like he did back in the 80s. His voice!! The night was nostalgic for me and my sister. It really took us back. We had a blast dancing the night away. Restrooms are clean with an attendee. There are little essentials (hair clips, breath mints, deodorant, etc.) for you ladies if you need them but make sure to tip a buck or two. Concert merch is sold on the 2nd floor. Staff were extremely friendly & professional.

Amazing venue to see a concert, not a bad seat in the house! The place was amazing, plenty of space at the bars, bathroom lines moved quick, staff were super friendly and helpful. The sound system was amazing, the entire experience far exceeded my expectations. 10/10 this is my favorite spot to see an artist!

Great venue for a concert or an event. No bad seats great restaurants surrounding the venue. A hidden gem in the Huntington Village. Handicap accessible but a hard area for parking. Ciao For Now.

Nice theater - nearly 100 years old. The layout is a bit unique, you need to go up a flight of stairs from the street to reach the orchestra seats. The orchestra seats are quite small, making sitting tight with the people sitting next to you. There are two bars in the orchestra seating area and a larger bar in the orchestra level lobby.

    Kurt Reimer rocked!

Can't say that I've not said enough about going to shows - hooking up with the weirdest people sometimes in the process of the good or the bad or just being alone or with perhaps the experience of all of the widest array of people -drunk stoned and tripping -- who you encountered is part of the experience so make it fun and kind and with love and not wanting to smash someone's brains out of their heads due to a minor personality perceived infraction. Depends what yer into I suppose - my crew was violent - not me if course - but back to love, go explore and experience, meet anyone and keep it classy. None want not to feel nothing but love, here or anywhere - Love Each other Damnit! I just got a surge of nuclear love reminiscing of the power the 80's - early friendship borne of music together - we are alive in friendship - I wish to have them return from the days Way beyond, and, well? I have this special place that touches those days in lights and drums and those that push vocals and get intense.. we all need our own releases - Skid Row cancelled after BuckCherry finished. People left surprised but with ease of the news that - the headline group bailed on y'all. Kurt Reimer killed the first set, very pro USA lyrics BuckCherry was tattoo blasted. - rage of immediate intensity with ruthless rhythms - the drum set is sonically carrying the pressure in the room - double deep bass drums a knockin. Not much else to say, Skid Row are posers

    Is it under 21?

I think it depends on the show. There are a bunch of bars so it is possible that they would just card you if you went to order a drink. I have seen kids and young adults there many times so I'm sure it's fine especially if you're with a group or if… Read more

Has anyone ever hosted an event here? I'm looking to do a vow renewal with about 100-150 people

Yes, you are able to host a private event at the Paramount.

Hi guys! I've never been here. Any tips for parking and places to eat nearby? Thanks!

There is a municipal lot to one side, but it is hard to get a spot at times. There is street parking and a few small lots within a couple of blocks. If you pass it on your right, take the next right and the lot is on the left on a hill.… Read more

So after four, I decided that I wanted to look for cobwebby things upon the brick walls between sconces, I hovered like a moth to light -- now believing the main chandelier might have what I'm looking for so I ventured forth. But just then the lights dimmed and I was encouraged to find my seat and three voices began to swell from the stage. A tepid applause as Dave Davies took to the stage, now a man of 70 with a kinky (hence the name) fuschia cloak, blazing with the brilliance of a new star. Songs sung sounded sad, brief bouts of grief perhaps -- with a voice growing stronger with each next pretty ditty from a newly released album. Dave Davies spoke words of love and friendship and their importance to each and everyone of us. His choice of encore was his first song that brother Ray wrote the bridge for. It was a most beautiful and memorable performance -- Death a Clown. Dave held out his guitar and the few of us that approached the stage strummed upon it, he gently touched my hand telling me that we too were friends.

Wow, A Flock of Seagulls was having sound issues, too. WTF? Does anyone at The Space do sound checks. Whoever was running the soundboard really screwed up the bands. They owe Strangelove an apology. Horribly distracting. The WORST place to stand or sit near if you're in the back of the Orchestra (latter rows)! Two, if you sit along the left wall (Orchestra), there is an alcove of sorts closer to the front of the stage. There is a TV in there (WHY, I don't know!), that is left on during performances. If you're in seats along the wall, you 'will' be distracted from the glare of the television light (as I recently was back in Row N!). Lastly, lobby bar prices are INSANE: $38 for a single serving CAN of wine and a single serve bottle of Prosecco. We had just come from a very nice restaurant and paid well less than that for quality!

I fell in love with the historic Capital Theatre the minute I walked in. Just a spectacular old building. While the show we saw, I won't say who, wasn't the greatest concert in the world the sound production and sight lines made for a really pleasant concert experience. Oh, and I should mention that the parking was a piece of cake. The reason this venue only gets three stars is simple: the bartenders were massively over serving. This was by far the drunkest crowd of concert-goers I've ever been in. It was literally unsafe. The venue gets props for having gender neutral bathrooms...they just don't have enough of them. The lines were nuts and for this show there were booze-fueled fights happening while you were waiting to take a leak. All in all, not a great vibe.

So my husband surprised me with tickets because he knows how much I love Broadway shows. Some of the standouts of the night were- the singing and the use of the screens. The actors & vocalist did a great job, really no weak links, they were clear, they projected all the way up to the balcony, and they carried a strong stage presence. The stage was set up in a specific way for the entire show but the screens helped to enhance the scenes by projecting different images to suggest a change in setting, making it a lot more interesting to watch. Some songs resonated more than others, solely because of the weight of the message they possessed. Overall, very talented artists on Long Island that we enjoyed watching use their gifts to bring joy to others. It didn't have to be perfect to be of great substance. I will note that they loosely interpret biblical events throughout the show, especially toward the end, so a few scenes might make you go huh, but as artists, they truly made it their own. It's nice to offer Broadway-like shows close to home, and to support the arts within our communities.

There was a line to go through security, but that was a pretty quick process. You couldn't bring in food/water, but you could buy a can of water, which is not such a great way to store water for ongoing needs. Of course food/drink was way overpriced as is expected at venues you can't bring your own. Almost a non-existing merch section, but that may be more about the audience than the venue. The circular rotating stage allowed us to have a better view/be closer than a venue with the same capacity with a forward-centered stage. The sound was nice where you could hear very clearly without the sound being overbearing. The only big issue (which is true for a lot of venues) is the poor design to leave the parking lot and everyone merging in together to a singular light to leave. I'm not sure how much can be done to revise this, but it's a pretty big factor in us contemplating if we want to return or not.
