It's not Broadway, that's for sure! But it'll do for Babylon. Pretty much any seat chosen is a decent seat at the theater. They have a concession stand, and the theater, tho small, it's spacious. Plenty of legroom! This was my first time at this theater to see the musical Sister Act. It was convenient if you're a local, which is a plus. They have a lot of upcoming shows so check it.

The Argyle Theater Babylon Friday night performance of Grease. Presentation was enjoyable and entertaining. I personally loved Frenchie and Rizzo. Note bathroom access. (See pix) The one with handicap sign is small with no room even for a small wheelchair. The other one has more room and would be more efficient if signs were switched. They do have seating for scooter or handicap individuals and help to move units to side out of way of other customers getting seats. It was interesting watching the camera man working the camera equipment in the back. Shows change regularly for a local night out check their website. Note lots of places to eat in town. Check corresponding hours and if reservations are required or suggested.

I just want to start off by saying THANK YOU to Mark & Dylan Perlman for taking on this wonderful addition of live theater to my village of Babylon. The theater was intimate, so not a bad seat in the house. I liked that. The lobby staff were friendly and my usher very accommodating. When she realized there were floor seats still available she offered the seats to anyone who wanted to move closer. Thanks! I declined. I loved having the row to myself and my seat was perfect. They also offer snacks & beverages. Including adult cocktails in a can which looked tempting but I had my alcohol fill yesterday LOL. I attended the February 3 showing of Spring Awakening. Powerfully acted! Controversial subjects tempered with great songs. Thoroughly enjoyed it! In short the actors are amazing & the show was quite a thrill ride of emotions. I am so excited at the prospect of going back to enjoy more shows. My only qualm may be that I might not have been as comfortable in my seat if it was a full house. Better seats might be nice. But the show was top notch! That's right! I now have quality live theater around the corner! So come and support Mark & Dylan in this fantastic venture. It was well worth the money spent. 2-3-2019

I admit it, I love the skin! We ordered a bucket of 8 pieces, and chose mac and cheese and cole slaw. We also ordered a side of jalapeno corn bread. There's really no good news here. The chicken was so dry inside, we couldn't eat it and thrw out all 8 pieces. The mac and cheese wasn't terrible, but I've certainly had better. It too was dry, and was basically one big piece of mac and cheese. The cole slaw was..... interesting. It was an odd pinkish color (red cabbage?) with really no sauce that I could find. My hunt for great fried chicken,,,, withnthe damned skin on..... continues.

There is also advertising on the large screens so you can keep up to date to see what is coming in the future that you may be interested in seeing. There is also quick access to the parkway. You have to go thru a metal detector once you get there and if you have a handbag or a knapsack, they will ask you to step aside so it can be inspected, The seats are very comfortable but the seat numbers are not readily visible-I had to ask someone if I was in the correct seat. I would recommend for any live performance.

There was a line to go through security, but that was a pretty quick process. You couldn't bring in food/water, but you could buy a can of water, which is not such a great way to store water for ongoing needs. Of course food/drink was way overpriced as is expected at venues you can't bring your own. Almost a non-existing merch section, but that may be more about the audience than the venue. The circular rotating stage allowed us to have a better view/be closer than a venue with the same capacity with a forward-centered stage. The sound was nice where you could hear very clearly without the sound being overbearing. The only big issue (which is true for a lot of venues) is the poor design to leave the parking lot and everyone merging in together to a singular light to leave. I'm not sure how much can be done to revise this, but it's a pretty big factor in us contemplating if we want to return or not.

A lot of them have nothing to do with what this place really is. ITS ROCK CLUB! If you're looking for a fine dining experience, this isn't the place! If you want to see a band with a nice stage, good sound system and decent drinks you should probably stop in. My wife and I were there last week to see FM . A fantastic Steely Dan cover band. This place has a very nice size stage plenty of seating and good bartenders. Yes, the bathrooms are pretty disgusting. I think they can probably work on that. However, growing up in the rock 'n' roll culture of the 80s, it does not offend me! Admittedly, we do not eat here. However, the drinks were well-made. Our server, Angelina was excellent. She was friendly and attentive. I'm pretty sure the guy at the door won't be asked to host the Oscars next year. But that's not what we need out of him! The crowd was friendly, and the place was packed. I'm just glad that now that I reached my 60s I can still go out to rock on. My wife and I will definitely be back in the future I suggest you check out their website. They have a wide range of bands. In my estimation this is probably the best rock club left on Long Island. If you're an old school rocker, who still feels like going out and having fun without the pretentious nonsense that goes along with a lot of the clubs these days Check it out!!

They had a really good menu back in July when we 1st came here to see Tucker Stevens band and just had drinks.... Tonight, we came back with the $58 reservation knowing the dinner would be at least $25/person. Well, they completely scrapped the original menu for a severely paired down "EXPRESS" style menu which consisted of smaller portioned "plates" if you can call it that... They served their meals on 4x6 metal trays and a waxed paper doily. I get the utilitarian nature of the serving set up. But the staff didnt bring us forks & knives... I had to get up and get it myself. Basically, we ordered apps for our "dinner". WHAT REEEEALLY caught me off guard was the $4.00 extra charge for our drinks!!!! We ordered Bullitt Old Fashions... it was $15. Each drink & then an additional $4.00 for "ROCKS".... WELL, I was a bartender back in the day & I find it an absolute abuse of a captured audience. The bar charged us $4.00 extra for basically Ice & a little extra fruit we asked to have added to our mixed drinks. The food was adequate at best, more like barely tolerable. And the already overpriced drinks & "ROCKS" extra charge has guaranteed we will NEVER EAT or Drink Mixed drinks here again.... If there's a band you want to see thats playing at either the WAREHOUSE OR 89 in Patchogue, go pay your $20 at the door & pay $8.00 for a beer instead of getting ripped off for a mixed drink.... DO NOT WASTE TIME reserving a table & being required to order terrible food and severely overpriced mixed drinks. This is the last time the Warehouse exactly 10 pounds of flesh from me!!! Waste of Money!

My son was with his dad that night so we loaded up his drums in my car after I got out of work got to prohibition and set up for the show. The food we had was pretty good. We got a half pepperoni, half cheese half sized pizza and mozzarella sticks. The venue itself is a little bit smaller for live music. But when the weather is good they have a window with barrel tables and seats so you can sit outside to hear the musicians play. I was alternating between being outside and inside. My boyfriend's mom who I love came to the gig as well so I was spending time with her outside and time inside dancing and checking out the band. The bar is pretty big and they have one more area after you pass the bathrooms with some tables for hanging out. I liked the feel of prohibition besides the space being somewhat small and the food was good. I can't say anything about the alcohol although I'm guessing except for specialty cocktails it's probably the same as anywhere else. I've been sober for over 2 years now so if I'm at a bar it's for music and food.
