All were mostly priced under $5. At the back of the store they had a Five Beyond section, where they had items on big discounts. The store was mostly clean and tidy. As we went around the store, we got some KitKat, gummies, a Bluey toyset and some stationery items. They had self checkout lanes, so it was very easy for us to scan and pay. Associates were friendly, greeted us at entrance and again when we were leaving. It was a fun experience, we will stop by again in future.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service at the Paramus Location…read more I had a very upsetting experience at the Paramus location involving a male employee who spoke harshly and disrespectfully to my 8-year-old daughter. She picked up an $80 Squishmallow from the shelf, excited and hugging it as we fully intended to purchase it. Instead of approaching me as the parent, the employee went directly to her and scolded her, telling her she "better not get it dirty or he wouldn't be able to sell it." He then continued questioning her, "Are you buying this? Are you planning to buy this?" as she was holding it. (Check your footage.) At that point I stepped in and told him not to address my child like that. Due to his unnecessary and rude behavior, we decided not to buy anything and left the store. Another customer overheard the interaction, shook her head, and walked out as well, commenting on how ridiculous he was toward my daughter. This is not how customers, especially children, should be treated.

My mom politely asked an employee if she could use the restroom, and the employee escorted her to the employee restroom. Shortly after, the manager came over and rudely accused my mom of being somewhere she wasn't allowed to be, even though the employee had personally brought her there. The manager made my mom feel embarrassed and treated her as if she had done something wrong, when she was simply trying to help her granddaughter and prevent her from throwing up on their floor. The condescending "have a nice day" from the employees afterward was the icing on the cake. This is NOT how customers should be treated, and we will not be shopping here again.

Yankee Candle store at Paramus Park Mall…read more The ride can be very frustrating with the traffic on Rt 4 & Rt 17, but if you are making the trip to Trader Joe's and if you are picking up the Yankee Candles, this is the place. The store is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful in assisting you. Smell as many as you want before you make the purchase !!! My favorite one is Pink Sands !!! Used to buy Macintosh but seemed too sweet now. The Lemon Lavender is also slightly sweet but not too overwhelming, and if you are for the sweet citrus one, go for the Sicilian Lemon. Found a new scent that I like - Catching Rays !!!!
