It's like Sweet 16 in the Latino culture, significant right of passage into womanhood. I couldn't find any in the store, so asked one of the staff members for some help. Francine thought they had at least one, but she had no luck either. The manager was not in to ask. Francine took my name and number, then called the next day to say that Hallmark does checks on the stores to see which cards are selling and if numbers are low they pull that card/category from inventory. This was one of them. She kindly gave me the phone numbers for a couple other area Hallmarks so I can check availability before driving around. Used to buy Keepsake Christmas ornaments from the Star Trek series at this location. Have enough starships, shuttles and characters to make a whole Star Trek tree! But they've become rather expensive, and find the characters aren't as nicely done as they used to be. However, this year it's Spock's death scene with Kirk from "Wrath of Khan"... Not sure I can resist for long! ;)

Cashiers overcharge customers, and when you point out a mistake, instead of an apology you are sent elsewhere to deal with it. Supervisors behave rudely and dismissively, making customers feel unwelcome. It is very disappointing that such a good store has such poor and unprofessional service. I paid for 19 items but received only 18 and was forced to waste my time, nerves, and mood trying to figure out why I was overcharged, while facing rude and unacceptable treatment from the staff.The cashier voided Tetra Food and immediately scanned it again, leaving two units charged while only one was physically present. There is no logical reason for re-scanning the item after voiding it!!! When my money was refunded, already on my way out of the store, I approached the cashier again and showed the receipt as proof that a mistake had indeed been made. I calmly explained that this is not the correct way to work, especially considering that earlier she insisted everything was fine and that there was no mistake. After the supervisor heard our conversation, she rudely interrupted it, cutting me off, and in a raised tone began saying "have a good day" while pointing toward the entrance door. This is what top-level service and customer care look like! Unfortunately, in order to get their money back for an incorrect charge, customers have to experience the full "pleasure" of this kind of service. Only at the service center did a kind woman treat me with understanding. She re-counted the items with me from the beginning and processed them again in order to print a receipt confirming the mistake.It is very disappointing, because I genuinely like this store -- the products, the selection, and the prices. However, the customer service is simply terrible and completely ruins the overall impression of the store. It's a pity that management is unlikely to read comments here

For myself, I got a pair of new Dockers and a beanie for $4.50 total, wow!!!! The friendly staff was also very helpful in carrying out and loading the bags of goods into the car.

Their cards are obviously not the same as you'd find in the Hallmark stores, but you can find a pretty good selection for most events you might need. If you need a card and you're near a Cardsmart, stop in, they can fix you up.
