She lives near this store so she reached out to the owner who remembered us and the item that I wanted. Since she is travelling with to shows with her Christmas stuff, she told me friend she would leave the item at her store and we could come in whenever we wanted to get it. The shop leans towards decorating items in the country & primitive styles although you can find stuff that would fit into most homes. There is some furniture in the shop itself but then they have another big building out back chock full of furniture as well. They have furniture and pictures, candles and rugs, curtains and mailboxes, flowers, birdhouses, lampshades, metal stars, pillows, (whew!) and much much more! The prices are usually reasonable. Sometimes you find a deal, sometimes you wonder if the owner just accidentally put the wrong tag on an item, 'cause the price just seems a bit out of touch with reality (not often). Swings'n Things can also be a great local place to pick up some gifts for those ladies on your shopping list. You are guaranteed to find items that aren't available in those big box stores. The furniture was very beautiful and there was walking stick I had my eye on and had it not been the holiday season (and I had more cash), I would be using it on my hikes right now. Its just an okay store- very small with smalls both "vintage" and not so vintage. My biggest peeve is that I have stopped by many more times to find them closed, or not open when they should have been open. Takes about 5-10 minutes for a walk through.

The logistics manager Dean showed me that its paperwork shows that it used to be a display in the old, closed down Ethan Allen that is literally over the town line on the street I live on. I guess it wanted to come home. The designer Verlie was very nice to me and didn't make me feel like a scavenger for discount shopping. The Ethan Allen company could learn a lot from this location.

It did not come with leather pillows, as we were told by our sales lady that it would, so the owner made it right by having four fabric pillows of our choice made for us. Three months after having the sofa, the white leather on one of the cushions started wearing away. I emailed the owner, and he is promptly replacing the entire cushion at no charge. I just hope that we do not notice this issue on other pieces of the sofas, as we did not purchase the extended warranty. Comfy, handsome furniture. I enjoyed shopping here and the customer service is tremendous. I will buy fro here again, although the prices are high.
