Terrible staff...terrible inventory. SAdly Not the Same Freshwater. Ask where something was located in their inventory stock and got a vague "Somewhere over there.....Maybe". SO kept my $500 in my pocket and will head to Lake Street and Delahunty now in Derry read more

The prices were fair for the rocks I ordered. So I ordered 2 separate delivery's for 4 yds for 250.00 each. I didn't need 2nd delivery and have been getting the runaround for over a month for my money.they said they went corporate and checks for return money needs to be mailed from Texas. I've listened to excuse after excuse and now literally have to go to small claims court. Do not deal with them. They are thieves read more

Great selection of plants and gardening supplies and beautiful flower arrangements . A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Great flower selection for any season. The florist section of this operation is expensive but 100% worth it. I don't think I've ever received a more beautiful bouquet of flowers in my life. And I've been purchasing and receiving flowers for quite some time. The rest of the shop though... way overpriced and gimmicky. DON'T buy the "fresh" fudge unless you want to pay for a chipped tooth. Nothing fresh about that which, I wish I'd known before buying pounds of it. read more

The prices are a bit steep but the quality is very good. The help is always fantastic and whether it is Brian (Landscape), Aaron (Hardscape) or Kristen (Outdoor Furniture). We are very happy with this place and the staff makes it a place to get to know you; the customer. read more

I went several weeks ago to order 4 pillar lights for my walkway. They said a couple of weeks no big deal. After waiting I called about them and 2 days later they got back to me and sid 2 came in. Went to pick up and asked when the other 2 would be there. They said a couple weeks. Waited and waited never received a call finally called again and said I could up on Tuesday. I gave an extra day and went on Wednesday and they only had one, I asked when the other would be in they said they could not give a lead time. I called the Company Belgard and they put me in touch directly with te rsales rep and he said it is the company policy alaays to give lead times and it should not have taken all this time. He referred me over to Powell and sons stone in Brookline NH where they not only had it in stock but were charging 100.00 less for the light. Fresh water farms was overcharging but 35% everyone else. Also not positive the lights they gave me were not just returns from other customers. Awful place to do business. read more

I've been to Freshwater Farms dozens of times over the past 20 years. The individuals who work the hardscape/nursery side of the business are amazing. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Unfortunately, the experience has not been the same with the individuals on the florist/plant side of the business. On the phone or in person, it almost always seems to be an unpleasant transaction. It is often as if I am inconveniencing them with my purchases. On at least 2 occasions my wife and I have both felt as if they were highly suspicious that we were potentially trying to somehow shoplift plants while in the checkout process despite the fact that we were attempting to assist them. read more

I went to Freshwater Farm this morning to send a flower arrangement to a friend whose Mother had passed and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I had used them for many years in the past but after my experience today I will never be back. The staff seemed to be bothered when I asked about sending something other than what was already made up . I wanted a basket of plants and was planning on spending upwards of $150 to which I was told that they really didn't have anything like that, really you are a florist? I left, no one seemed to care and went to Leiths in Plaistow who help me create a stunning basket and couldn't have been kinder or more professional. read more

Stopped in last weekend three times to pick up bagged mulch. Order and pay at the desk in the flower shop then pull up my car across the road to load the mulch. Each time a young "summer" help employee was waiting for me with a smile. Great experience! read more

I went in to purchase some vegetable plants for my garden. The variety and selection was slim pickings. Not sure if I was late or what, but very poor variety and the plants did not look that healthy. I went to Home Depot & Lowes and found just the opposite. read more

could've definitely been better. I called and asked if they had tomato plants and I couldn't even hear the woman that answered. I said have a great day and was about to say bye and she just hung up. read more

My fiance bought a Valentine's bouquet for me. It came with 7 Roses , 7 stalks of lily buds, some sea-heather looking stuff, ferns and other non-descript greens. He asked me to send him a picture -- to hear the hurt and disappointment in his voice broke my heart, "But I spent $130 on that." It was my turn to be shocked, this is NOT a $130 bouquet - $50 maybe. Granted the arrangement was $95 +/-, the Card $5 and there were sundry fees and delivery costs. SHOCKING. It hasn't even been 24 hours and the rose petals are curling and puckering and the lilies are nowhere near open. I'd send pictures but this form has no accommodation for that. My fiance has always thought that flowers were a waste of money. He's bought them only a handful of times in 7 years because he knows it pleases me. You have proven him right. He tried calling yesterday, but there was no answer. We feel disappointed, gouged, and soured about what was supposed to be a happy and special occasion. read more

My vehicle died and I coasted onto their property . I explained my situation to one of the workers inside and she was understanding , kind and accommodating, letting me fill containers of water to fill my radiator. 5 hours of not being able to find a friend to come get me . I started my 6 hour walk home to Nashua in tears . I only got a mile down the road when a well dressed man in a nice clean car slowed and asked if I needed a ride . After telling him my series of unfortunate events he informed me he owned freshwater farms where my truck sat dead . He then orders me an Uber while we chatted briefly. He had mentioned he had an event to attend shortly ,so I thanked him again and smiled as he went about his evening . maybe 5 min passes and I see him pull back next to my truck where I was waiting for the Uber . The owner had turned around to give me 40$ so if needed I could Uber myself back to my truck in the morning and not stress about finding a way back . This is how they treated a complete stranger that was not even a customer ! Amazing , kindhearted people to lift me up when I was so down . Speaks volumes of character, type of man we hope our children become as adults . thank you so much for all that you have done for me today . Brian C read more

This florist has the most outstanding customer service! I had a floral emergency - I needed a bridal bouquet delivered in 2 hours! The woman I spoke with was so kind and assured me they could fix my crisis. At that moment of desperation, I was thinking a few flowers slapped together with a ribbon would be the best I would get with such last minute notice. Instead, a gorgeous bouquet arrived after an hour and a half, it was even in the wedding colors! Freshwater Farms saved the day! They bent over backwards for me and delivered an incredible product. A company that truly cares about their customers. I couldn't recommend this florist more! Thank you Freshwater Farms!! read more

It's pretty much the best nursery around. They have all the plants you could need, trees and fruit bushes, and often have sales so you can buy a plant on the cheap and plant it for the following year. My mother bought a dozen rose bushes for less than $200. Inside is a small gift shop that includes honey, chocolates, locally made sodas and a variety of gardening and outdoor decorations. read more

Just went in this place. Pleasant girl greets us outside and tell her we're looking for hanging plants. She shows us where they were and tells us they're on sale, 2/$50. We chose 2, went to pay inside. Woman at register gives us full price quote. I said that the girl told us they were 2/$50. Oh that sale ended over a month ago. I said the signs are still out 2/$50. She said they weren't so outside we went and yes, the signs were still there. With a grand huff, she turned and said she'd have to give them to us at that price, but again, that sale is over. No apology, nothing but rudeness. Never will we make the mistake of stopping there again. Overpriced and rude. Plenty of other nurseries in this area. Rating one star was a gift. RUDE! read more

Decent selection of plants and friendly staff. They also have a good selection of hardscaping items. I have been here many times and in occasion it seems under staffed and that would bet only complaint. They have a sister store a few towns over and will check their stock if something special is needed too. read more

I've shopped here for many years as well, and a number of their bushes and plants are permanent parts of my yard. This summer I've been looking for red bee balm, but they had none left so I did settle for purple, and lavender hoping the contrast would make up for the missing killer reds (everyone from bees to me love 'em). But here they come now, all of them bright purply purple in all their purple glory. Nearly $200 bucks. And I checked out the tomatoes, hoping for 2 big boys (I know I'm picking the barrel in mid-June) and a cherry, but all of their plants had their arms not raised, but hanging, or the leaves disfigured but not yet destroyed, one the third top of the plant was limped over. Sorry, uncared-for tomato plants for sale makes me want to turn and leave. I did get a half-yard of black (oooooo) mulch, hey, for 20 dollars, & I was tended to with the wave of my arm. It felt good to feel safe doing that. Nice guy, and great job putting the mulch actually very neatly at the back of my bed, as well as clearly missing my 10 purply purple bee balms. You know, a smile and a wave does wonders that the wav-er doesn't realize, but his attitude made a difference in my day as I drove away. You're better than a 3, Freshwater, you and I both know that. read more

My husband bought a tree and it died called manager for refund was told final sale!! Was very upset store did offer 38 percent off next tree purchase . Was not going to spend Any large amount of money again Manager did give me store credit for half of tree Meet me half way which I guess was something . Considering I spend hundreds dollars on plants a year and hundreds on mulch and stones ??? Store is adorable and great products. Extremely disappointed in the quality of mulch here... We were in the search of a darker type of mulch which wasn't color enhanced and was told the age hemlock was one avenue as it isn't color enhanced, maintains it's color and is a premium mulch. To make somewhat of a long story short, after spending about 12 hours over 2 different days spreading the mulch all over and having the sense of accomplishment, it was deemed with pure and utter sadness instead. It had rained out a couple days after our first mulching day and the following day after the storm the mulch discolored by a dramatic amount and didn't retain that deep and dark color as we were told and expected it to be. I've attached pictures for reference. You will see in the picture the lighter/faded mulch is the end result after 1 rainy day and the darker is what was put down as we finished up (hasn't rained yet so it appears we have 2 different mulch types). After all that strenuous manual labor and over 600$ spent on the mulch it looks worse than what it was the previous year. read more

The florist did my bouquets for my wedding. daisies. they were gorgeous and inexpensive too!! cute little gift shop as well.

Do not go here! Purchased some expensive shrubs last fall during their "fall is planting season" sale. They looked neglected from the onset at the farm, but we were assured they would bounce right back after a planting and watering. Did as instructed, and they never came back ... today, despite fertilization and tender care, they are hideously dead. After an infuriating phone call with a condescending manager -- who claimed they can't account for "nature" or the mismanagement of the shrubs (insinuating I must have done something wrong) -- I was told no refunds would be issued. Meanwhile, everything I've ever planted from Lake Street Garden Center has survived the harsh winter. read more

I love this place in the summer time to pick up hostas and other perenials for around the house. Inside is nice to poke around and the folks are always helpful and even helps to load the car. I would like it if they stuck a bench outside somewhere so you can sit and look at the plants when deciding which ones you want but that is just me. read more

We've been shopping her for the past year since our regular greenhouse closed. We've usually purchased various plants, even have gotten some hardscapes, and we have been pleased. I recently purchased a large tree from them and had them install. The tree ended up needing supports to keep it straight and upright. When I contacted Freshwater about having them come out to fix the tree, they said "sorry, we don't do that." Huh? Our regular greenhouse would fix or at least work with us. Freshwater referred me to a landscaper and now I'm having to pay almost double the costs of it being installed to get the planting corrected. Disappointed, guess I'll stick with smaller purchases from here out read more

We ordered Belgrade pavers and did a large project. Many pavers broken, weird white outlines and not uniform looking. Some paver, while the same pacer type, look totally different. The pavers stain easy and just look bad. I would not recommend. read more

We bought our Christmas tree here last year (2015) and it was perfect! We were able to go inside after and pick out a new ornament which has now turned into a tradition for us. When we went to go pick out our tree this year, we got there just before they closed (5pm) however we picked our tree pretty quickly, and we headed inside to pick out an ornament. We were shopping around quick since we did know they closed, and all of sudden 5 oclock hit and the woman at the front yells 'WE'RE CLOSED' from across the store... we felt very uncomfortable and went up to pay. The woman then went on to talk about how much she just wanted to go home, emphasizing more and more that they were closed. I've never felt so uncomfortable when giving my money to a local business. It is a the holiday season, I thought this was the time of generosity and joy. As much as we love supporting local businesses, we will not be going back to fresh water farms. We were rushed and shoved out the door. We got there at 4:48 and was in the car by 5:03.... read more
