Eggs are eggs, but these tasted a little watered down to me. Maybe it was just an off day, who knows. The pancakes were decent, but nothing that really stood out. That said, I'm not saying you shouldn't come here. I definitely think it's worth trying for yourself because everyone has different tastes. Update: We've frequented this place a few times in the last year. Each time was relatively good. I should note, we have dined in each time except for today. Today, we decided to place an order to go. My grandson loves their French toast but didn't want to dine in today. So we order French toast and a Chili verde burrito. Should have maybe taken 15-20 minutes tops. The gentleman who took my order said; "wait outside on the bench (which was occupied by patrons waiting to be seated for dine in) and someone will bring it out to you." So we did, no problem. I got caught up entertaining my hungry grandson and didn't realize almost 30 minutes had passed. Nobody came out to provide updates or anything. I didn't think much of it initially because they were busy per usual, and I was giving them some grace. I went inside to check on the order and low and behold, my order had been ready for quite some time and was sitting under the warmer. Great, except my food was not hot, it was semi warm. This added to my frustration as now I still had another 20 minute drive home and therefore my food would be cold by then. To add to my frustration, once home, there was a small piece of eggshell in the scrambled egg. Not that big of a deal for an adult. But because my toddler grandson was eating it, this could've been a problem. Additionally, the chili verde burrito barely had any meat in it and lacked some flavor. I asked if it came with fries and the server said it is a pretty big portion and you probably wouldn't want a side. He also mentioned that it has hashbrowns in it. My son said these are the best grits he has ever had. I tated his dish and would 100% agree. He had the shrimp and grits. Creamy, perfectly cooked and the andouille sausage gives the perfect amount of heat. My nephew had the fried chicken sandwich with carne asada fries. Service had some hiccups maybe based on how busy they were. While our drink orders were taken right away, it was quite a while to get coffee and water. Most of our orders included toast. Lucy's Loaded Burrito with barbacoa: 5/5. Savory, creamy, served piping hot and cut in half. Was dripping with juice and was therefore messy to eat with my hands, so I eventually used a fork and knife to finish it up. It had very little lettuce and barely any pico de gallo, but at least it came with a yummy tomatillo-like sauce. Pancake flight ("secret menu" item) with Tiramisu, Strawberry Paradise, and "Best Ever" Banana: 4/5. A flight includes a total of three mini pancakes of whichever pancakes you'd like, including corn cake but excluding French toasts. I liked Tiramisu the most. A friend also got a regular plate of Tiramisu pancakes and enjoyed it. No wonder our waitress was confident in recommending it. I just wished the flight came with a mini stack per flavor instead of just one mini pancake per flavor. Horchata latte ("secret menu" item): 3/5. It's horchata with some type of syrup and a shot of espresso. I thought it was a disappointingly bland. The horchata oomph was lacking, and the coffee was quickly diluted by the large volume of ice in the cup. However, another friend got the horchata latte with an extra shot of espresso and still thought the horchata flavor was quite prominent, so to each their own. All-Meat Pizza (14"): 4/5. I appreciated how the cheese and meaty toppings essentially covered the entire crust, so it was nearly crustless. I feel like the pizza could have used more red sauce, but another friend thought it was already satisfying as is, so again, to each their own. We encountered a couple of issues during our experience dining in at The Pan. Like getting overcooked poached eggs (firm yolks) in an eggs benedict dish. And needing to wait an additional 20 minutes (after the entire bill was paid) for a to-go pizza order that was placed at the beginning of our dine-in order and requested to be made a bit in advance to avoid waiting. Though the waitstaff were apologetic, these issues could've been resolved with a little more attention to detail. Free parking scattered around the premises. Tables were available both indoors and outdoors. They played oldies music that was fun to jam to. First most, I only leave reviews if it's really really good or a big mess and unfortunately for us it was the latter. It was Father's Day and this place had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Upon getting there we noticed it was kinda busy not crazy busy, it was maybe a 10 minute wait according to the manager with the goatee. He was somewhat friendly I forgot to get his name but what surprised me the most was that he was the only waiter there and the people before us got seated pretty much right away so we'd assume us will take no longer than 10 min as he had mentioned, we waited over half an hour to get seated and the only reason we got seated was because we'd had been tired of waiting outside in the heat without anyone checking up with us. Our mistake was not to leave at that point since it was way over the 10 min wait by that time. So we decided to go in, only to see several empty tables which only pissed me off even more which meant we could've been sat down minutes ago but they obviously had forgotten about us. Here's the kicker, the couple who arrived just second before us were already wrapping up their meal, that's crazy to me, that means they arrived at the same time as us, got sat down right away, got their order taken right away and ate and finished all while we were forgotten about outside. At this point I was already over it, my second mistake here was not leaving at this point, we were so hungry that it wasn't worth it for us to leave at that point. You think that would be the worst right? Not even close. After being sat down the owner dude with the goatee didnt check up on us until maybe 15 minutes later. Only to ask for our drinks, now here's the craziest part of it all, a couple came after us, got seated right away, and they got their order before we did!!! Are you kidding me!!?!! Not only that but the owner dude with the goatee can be heard saying to them "I'm sorry it's on the house".... What the hell dude are you serious? At that point we were pissed we called the owner over and he nervously asked what had we ordered, I forgot to mention when he took our order he NEVER wrote any of it down so it made perfect sense when he came back to us after speaking with his cooks that they had ordered the wrong meal for us hahaha unbelievable what a joke this establishment is. This goatee guy who I'm pretty sure was the owner thought he was slick by not writing down our orders all by memory and it came back to bite him in the aaaa. I straight up told him to forget about our order and were outta here. He mockingly said the drinks we had ordered "we're on the house" which appears to be his signature phrase. This guy needs some management lessons and customer service skills. It's obviously family restaurant and he wants to save some bucks by only having him as the waiter but dude does not know how to run a business, he needs to hire waiters and stop trying to be cheap saving money. Sadly to say I never got to try the food but I'm glad I didn't, this dude ruined Father's Day for me, when he reads this he will know EXACTLY who I am because if he's a true manager he will acknowledge everything I said was true and happened because I have no reason to lie since I have nothing to gain. Sometimes customer service and the way you're treated is far more important than how the food taste like. I'll start with the Benedict-- best Benedict I've ever had. Poblano cream sauce was legendary, Barbados was perfect and the corn cakes on the bottom were great texture and flavor. The chicken and waffles was also very good. Perfectly fried and crispy, served with a blackberry butter that was unique and delicious. For the pancake flight we could choose three different flavors so we got the Lemon Dream, Tiramisu, and Cinnamon Roll Pancakes.
