It took Todd one month to paint the exterior of my rental house. Lots of excuses. When he was finally finished, he demanded payment right away. Being out of town, I told him that I needed my handyman to look over the job, which would be in two days. Todd became very upset demanded payment right away. When I told him he would have to wait two days so that I could have it looked at he threatened me with multiple nasty emails, voicemails and text messages. Two days later when my handyman looked at the job, he said it was sloppy and needed to be redone in certain areas. Todd had to go back two more times to get things right. I loved this guy! I needed a painter in a hurry and was having trouble with every one else I had talked to. My realtor had Todd call me last week on a Tuesday. He came to the house on time and explained in detail all of the steps they take and how they make sure the job is done right. When we discussed schedule, he made a huge exception for me to come out the very next SUNDAY at no additional charge. He emailed the quote to me that night. I called him the next morning to confirm. I told him he was a little higher priced than the other 2 quotes I received but that I liked his professional manner and felt that the job would be done very well. I forgot to ask him about a downstairs 1/2 bath when he was here, and he agreed to give me a great deal on it. They showed up on time, taped and covered everything, and finished 2 coats on a 2-story entryway, hallway, and small bathroom in about 6 hrs. It all looked GREAT!!! He does not advertise and only works on referrals. He and his son were really nice guys. Also, his proposal states that he will match any reasonable competitor's written quote. I recently hired The Paint Wizard to remove the popcorn texture in my ceilings, replace it with knockdown texture, and then paint the entire 2400 sq foot home (ceilings and walls). Todd (owner) and his crew did a great job, and for a fair price. Todd is one of the nicest contractors you'll find out there, and he is passionate about his work. He goes the extra mile. He repeatedly did things that showed his number one goal was to make sure I was happy with the results. He doesn't show up, give you a quote, then disappear until pay day. He's there every day busting his rump along with his crew. And you can tell he takes great pride in his work. The house looks great. Todd and his crew were fast workers and great communicators. They helped me spruce up a rental house when I was on a pretty short timeline. The house needed interior and exterior paint, as well as a bunch of little cosmetic repairs. Todd took care of everything--even re-floating and texturing some damaged drywall and staining a deck! I was very pleased with the work and the price. I do wish they had cleaned up more, I had to a couple hours cleaning up the floors in rooms that weren't painted because they had paint on them and were generally left very messy from the work in the rest of the house. The Paint Wizard just painted my house here in Cedar Park and did an excellent job at a reasonable price. Todd, the owner/painter, was very personable, friendly and showed up when he said or called if there was a problem. He worked every morning beginning around 6:30 and knocked off before the heat and humidity became intolerable. He worked steady and did a very satisfactory job at a reasonable price. I would recommend him for any painting, inside or out, that needs to be done. He was very careful and did not make a mess. Bottom line, I am so happy with the finished product. I hired The Paint Wizard based on a referral from a friend, and now I am happily referring Todd to everyone I know. I needed some drywall work and painting done, and Todd delivered a very professional end result. He doesn't take short cuts and is very thorough and meticulous. He was working at my house during one of our very few rainy periods, and even though it added extra time to the project, he took the time to make sure everything dried properly in the humidity before continuing to the next step...very conscientious. While he was painting after the drywall work, he even went around the house touching up other areas, including the interior part of a recessed window that I had been meaning to finish painting myself!
