I had a most disagreeable experience at this store yesterday, October 30, 2014. I had bought…read morearound $1000 worth of paint in the last few days and I called ahead to get the store to mix up some more paint to finish the job. My painters were waiting at the job site to get the paint. A woman who eventually identified herself as "The Manager" provided me some of the worst customer service I have ever had from a retail store in many years. Her name is Aliza Aldatzi and she was rude, curt, arrogant and just totally lacking in customer service skill. In the past experiences at this store I have never seen her and my orders were taken by "Johnny". I buy a lot of paint as I remodel homes but I will make sure I avoid this Vista Paint store because who needs more bad service in their lives?

When I gave him my business card for the contact details, Juan noticed that I'm a realtor and asked if I buy paint often. I explained that I buy paint for my sellers who need to freshen things up before marketing their homes. Juan suggested a professional discount that I can register for and save myself and my clients money. Juan was very professional and gave me the same customer focused service that he'd give to all his customers during the business day. Highly recommend the quality of Sherwin Williams paints - I use the Super Paint and Juan for his exceptional service.

I just had Kameron, the owner's son, come to my house, remove my old corroded, Window Screens and brought back my brand new ones and installed them! It was great service and so reasonably priced. I highly highly highly recommend you check Ace Hardware in Port Hueneme for replacement Window Screens. It was an excellent experience. I'll be going there for all of my Hardware needs in the future. (I didn't want to remove and install myself, so paid a small service charge for this personal service)

So if you're getting lumber it's in the back and you load your car with it. There should be a few…read morepeople in the back on a busy day. When you're done with the wood, someone is usually watching you and they know when you're done usually. Or you can just let them know you're done and you want your form with the wood you got counted. Then you drive back out and park your car to pay inside. Then when you leave that parking lot, you give the guy in the shack your form and the receipt. Then he recounts your wood again. Then the little arm lifts up and you're out. You can rent a lot of tools inside but it's a bit expensive if you rent it for a long time. Might as well buy the tool and resell it on marketplace at that point. There's some drop in showers you can buy here. Also some sink options. There's a bathroom inside if you need to go.

Drive in back and tell Guys what you're looking for. You park right next to shelves of wood. Everyone was very helpful. I was given directions by clerk inside store. Then Employee walking into work, explained to me on his way in, that I needed to get in car, drive over to first driveway and then drive in back. 3 different Guys in back helped me. One even walked in front of my car to direct me from 2x2 wood in front to redwood 2x2. He was also one that directed me to other lumbar yard that does milling. You can't get that kind of attention and help at Big Box Stores! I need the board I'm replacing mitered on one end. They don't do that but directed me to, Builder's First Source. on Thompson l. They sell wood and do milling, so can cut it for me. But they're only open Monday to Sunday.

We set a start date and he communicated with me well ongoing right up till they started and throughout the project through to completion. They started and finished the project within the time we discussed. The work is excellent and they did a very good cleanup when finished as well. He was very familiar with the particular coastal climate where our house is located and explained the steps that would be appropriate for the different parts of our project. I have spent the…read moreentire day waiting for an associate to come to the house to measure for window and skylight coverings. I was scheduled to have the measurement done today, August 8 in the "morning", but was given a time slot of 8am-8pm. I never heard from anyone, and I called both the store and the Install Company, MTS Shutter & Blind (see attached photo). MTS answering machine indicated they were closed today. I called Lowes several times and the annoying automated phone answerer had me on hold and hung up on me. I regret considering giving them my business, since I had paid $45 for the measuring appointment. I should have gotten a clue of the quality of service when I had to wait half an hour for any associate to show up in the window covering department to see the products in person. We heard 3 pages requesting help in that department, and finally were helped by Juan after walking to the front of the store to see about getting my $45 refunded. Are they understaffed?
