I could not fathom how I had not heard of it, as there are places we frequent in Groveport, and the town is not that big. It is in the clubhouse at the Links Golf Course. While driving up, I did not know what to expect, but there was plenty of parking. The restaurant feels like a spot where I could relax and have some of my favorite meals. Neat establishment, I think my table rushed the kitchen by ordering 4 of the same meals. Mine was not up to par. Located on the golf course, it's got that clubhouse feel. Plenty of seating. Came here several years ago during pandemic when they only had patio open. Was not impressed but reviews always stellar so decided to give it another try. I am always up for a good Reuben - this wasn't it. Marble bread good and there was a generous amount of tasty sauerkraut. I ordered with dressing on the side but never got it. I'm not really sure that the meat was really corned beef -It didn't look like it. It didn't taste like it. It really looks like Deli meat. That was pre-packaged and tasted worse. Nice portion of juicy fruit salad. Both of my dining companions got the same thing and Italian sub with fries. The fries had some strange seasoning on it and were mushy so they only ate a few. They weren't happy with the sandwich because it wasn't baked. It just seem like they put prepackaged deli meat on a bun. Both of my dining companion said they would not come back. Service was good. Wow. What a hidden gem. I'd read good reviews and had thought about stopping in for some time now, but I finally pulled the trigger tonight. And I'm so incredibly happy I did. So was my date. Yes, I had a date. Gracie was our waitress and she was outstanding. She was incredibly attentive and friendly. Go ask for her and give her your money. We ate the Reuben balls, the Italian Stallion wings, and the meatloaf sandwich. All were great. The Reuben balls and the fries were particularly good. All the dressings are listed as being homemade, so I had to get the Hot Bacon dressing on the side. I dipped every gd thing in it. I drained that cup. I even asked Gracie if they sold pints of the dressing...unfortunately they don't, but they absolutely should. It was seriously so effing good. I was a little unnerved when we pulled up and realized the pub was inside a golf course- I was worried there would be a pretentiousness to it all. But there wasn't. The food was honest and delicious, and very reasonably priced. They were very friendly and quick even though they had a huge party to serve in the other room. Lovely place! Can't tell you much about the service as I was only here for takeout, but what I did experience was fine. Routine. Rote. Now for the important part: my Rueben was WONDERFUL. I placed an order through DoorDash and had all sorts of crazy issues with the driver not picking up the food. I had to re order a second time and the driver had car trouble and never came with my order. I ordered a third time which was the charm. Through all of this a lovely woman from the restaurant called me not once but twice to apologize for the situation which was not their fault at all. She was so incredibly nice. I received my order piping hot and on top of that, they added some cookies to my order! How incredibly sweet that was! The food is delicious! Trust me order the buffalo chicken dip, it's outstanding. So excited we finally got around to trying the Paddock Pub! I've driven past for years on my way to Canal, but never stopped because I wasn't sure what to expect. The dining room looks formal, but feel free to dress casual. It's nicely decorated and there's plenty of tables and bar space. Service here was excellent. We were greeted right away and food came out quickly. Our waiter and a gentleman j would assume to be the manager spent plenty of time talking to us and letting us know what they have to offer. Each day of the week there are different specials. They offer yoga from 9-10 the first Saturday of every month and the bar opens at 10. They also have frequent tasting from local distilleries and they cater to holidays. I opted for the bogey burger today and added cheese and bacon and it was great! Made from Ohio meat it was a good size and very juicy. The hand cut fries were delicious as well. I can't wait to come back here, it wasn't crowded at all on a Friday at lunch! read more

Hidden gem! I had no idea this was so close to us. I took my Aunt & daughter here recently. The weather was gorgeous and we sat outside. We had a blast watching the golfers. The manager was our server and he provided fantastic service! We tried the sauerkraut balls for an appetizer; and they did not disappoint. Everything we had on the menu was delicious. We attended the St. Patty's Day party/buffet at the Paddock Pub on Saturday evening. I am not big on buffets, but this one was amazing. There was a great variety of appetizers, main dishes, salads, and desserts. All food was fresh, homemade, and so good. Paul and crew kept each station stocked with fresh food, and the food stations were placed perfectly to accommodate the crowd. The atmosphere was terrific, and the band did a great job with the audience. They were a lot of fun! This was, by far, the best buffet I have ever experienced. Great job! read more

The Franklin County Farm Bureau had our annual meeting and banquet at the Paddock pub last night, The food was amazing! I had the short ribs and they were absolutely delicious, it came with scallop potatoes and green beans both were awesome. I had no idea this restaurant, housed on a very pretty golf course in Groveport, existed. I came across it from reading Gia's intriguing review. She was spot on! I learned that the owner of Paddock Pub also owns Barcelona in German Village (downtown Columbus). Two different clientele, yet The Paddock Pub has many great things going, it shines on its own. Since Fridays at TPP are $6 select Martinis, I decided to try a few. The Cosmopolitan's cranberry/lime juice combination was refreshing. Not too sweet, not too tarty. Perfect choice to start the happy hour. Then came the Chocolatini. It's basically rich chocolate milk, with the added bonus of a chocolate syrup drizzled all around the inside of the glass. A dessert in its own right! I was enthralled with my food choice, and I have only myself to fault. For some reason I went with the Chicken Quesadillas. A solid three stars. Unfortunately, somewhat left to be desired. The Spanish rice was quite bland. Nothing was really screaming "get seconds, Gwen!" I should have gone with one of their burgers. Roy's massive medium-rare burger conglomeration topped with an egg looked juicy as heck. Judging by his comments, I clearly missed the mark. A few other points worth mentioning, their Portabella Fries Appetizer was very good. The (homemade?) horseradish sauce was addictive. And there made-from-scratch redskin Potato Salad was another highlight of the evening. Prices are reasonable, here. Staff was fabulous, our waitress was great about checking in. We never felt rushed, siting and chatting for a good 30-40 minutes after eating. I know I'll be back here. This place is a hidden gem! This is a golf course restaurant and as such, has a fabulous patio at the 18th hole. The inside is very nice as well, the service impeccable. Went way out of their way to get me even a phone charger, as mine was dying. The wing specials during games are great, can't beat $0.50 wings. The rest of the menu looked wonderful, especially as described by the staff when discussing which were their favorites. I don't just want to, I NEED to go back for the back for the braised short ribs. Heard the reuben balls are to die for, can't wait to try them as well, just with a wing special, one tends to fill up on wings. If you are looking for a gorgeous restaurant with reasonable pricing, this is should be high on the list of places to try. It is owned by Barcelona's owner, need I say more? Just go! read more

The Links Golf Course is there, but the restaurant is DEFINITELY worth trying out (even if you don't golf, lol). Ambience just what we were looking for on a quiet Saturday night and great food. Waitress "Betsy" was right on it too. Correct and prompt service with a friendly smile. We especially liked that even though there were several tables, it was an enjoyable evening and we could hear ourselves when talking. A recent visit to a couple restaurants (O'Charleys & Red Lobster), we couldn't hear ourselves, too loud. So, with all factored in, we vote 5. You'll enjoy if you stop. read more
