Dining room - A fireplace mantel decorated with potted plants, fairy lights, candles, and a surfboard mounted on a wooden wall in a cozy interior setting.

A friend recommended this place for burgers. The parking lot was packed!! We got seated right at the bar!! They had a great patio with a bar and outdoor dining. We chatted with the couples on both sides of us. They've been coming here for years!! Great service and burgers!

Great joint for a burger and beverages. TV' at bar to watch games if you like as well. Half lb burger with chips is $5.75! And the chicken dumpling soup was great too. Easy to fine, good parking. So what are you waiting for? GO!!

Cheese nuggets - Fried cheese nuggets served in a paper-lined basket with a small cup of dipping sauce, on a table at a casual dining setting.

Stopped in for the Friday night fish fry and it didn't disappoint - we ordered the cheese nuggets, mini corn dogs, the cod and shrimp plate, and the walleye plate as well as some London mules and really enjoyed everything. Service and atmosphere were amazing as well. Would highly recommend.

I don't understand when they say "Best burgers in town" they are so unseasoned and tasteless.

Solid burgers. Good crinkle cut fries. It's a staple to the visit to Shawno.

This is a huge restaurant with full bar, multiple taps of beer and an equally huge menu. My group was coming back from a non-high fence hunt. We were cold and hungry. I suggested a drink and some pizza. From the moment we pulled into the large parking lot, it was one surprise after another. The huge lodge building that serves as the restaurant, gift shop, bar and music venue was decorated nicely for Christmas. It was quite the sight. As we approached the building, we heard the sounds of live music. Inside, the crazy display of trophy deer mounts was almost dizzying. It literally took a couple of minutes to adjust to all the hustle, bustle and visual effects. The next surprise was the huge menu. If you can't find something to eat, you aren't hungry. All the items on the menu sounded delicious and the food being picked up by patrons at the counter looked great. We had second thoughts on having pizza when we saw all the fish fry options and other menu choices. However, we ordered pizzas and got our buzzer; to let us know when our pizzas were ready. We went around the corner and orders drinks from the bar. Wherever we were in the establishment, helpful staff gave us the information and assistance we needed. Our wood fire pizzas were really tasty. We preferred the Hot Honey Elk Pepperoni Sesame over the Meat Lovers but both were solid choices. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the sauces, but the crust was good and the toppings were ample. Overall, I need to return to try more of the menu (thinking steak). The prices seemed on par with similar establishments, the drinks were reasonable and the service was good. Definitely will add a trip back during a future "up north" excursion.

Nice variety of drinks for everyone as well. The dining area is comfortable - not large, but not tiny. There is kind of an exposed kitchen where you can see some people in there. Casual, perfect for a family gathering. Food Something for everyone. Like I said, this is casual Italian dining. A few different pizza crust options - even a Gluten Free one! I enjoy their traditional thin crust the best (but I tend to prefer a thin crust. This isn't the best pizza on earth, but I don't expect that from an Italian restaurant like this. They don't do just pizzas. Solid pizzas though, with lots of variety for toppings. They have some good pasta options, too. Can't go wrong with their baked mostaccioli. Good apps, too! Their apps are definitely like bar-food type apps (lots of fried options). But they'll do the trick. Service Good service - always pretty quick for food and everyone is attentive!

The pizza has scallions, pesto sauce, and balsamic glaze in addition to chicken, mozzarella, and tomatoes. It was a great combo. I did mark it down because service was a bit slow, but I do recognize that it was very busy and there were many large groups ordering around a similar time. The inside is nothing special, but it does have an old school American Italian feel, which is homey.
