The food is phenomenal and the staff are amazing! My husband and I have been coming here for a while and have never been disappointed. We brought my 93 year old father-in-law and 94 year old mother in-law for dinner last night (11/10/2025) and the staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating with them as they both use walkers and the place was packed with people. Such care and kindness were shown by staff, as well as the people dining near us. I will say, there were two Eagles fans sitting on the bench at the entrance waiting for their table and staring at their phones, and they didn't offer to get up and let my in-laws sit while we waited. This place is always on my list of recommendations to friends and family! The food. I mean, wood fried styled pizzas?! YES PLEASE! And they have so many flavor combinations! You cannot go wrong. Gluten free? You can make any pizza GF and let tell you - IT IS AMAZING!! They make their own crust, and it is so thin and crispy! You wouldn't even know it was gluten free. Highly recommend saving room for the pesto fries as an appetizer! The drinks. They have a nice little drink menu - beers, cocktails, wines. HIGHLY recommend their grapefruit vodka cocktail - it's so delicious! The space is cozy! Not sure, but it must have been an old house or church. Just has that cool, rustic vibe (but not in a creepy way). Great vibe, great service, great pizza! They don't take reservations and it gets super busy, especially on weekends so expect about an hour wait on average to be seated. In the summer, the patio is a great spot the sit. Their pesto fries are super popular for good reason, have to order them every time! Went on Sunday at noon. It wasn't busy, there was plenty of tables open and servers standing around. We were seated but it took an uncomfortable amount of time for a server to come take our drink orders (7minutes). We got the pesto fries and they were completely cold. Then we waited an hour to get the pizza. It was the BBQ Chicken pizza and it was just OK. Similar to Mod Pizza, the fast food chain pizza. This is challenging as she has a gluten intolerance. Rustique's reviews for their gluten free pizza drew us to their establishment. Wow!! I ordered a gluten free pizza as well and the crust was AMAZING! Probably one of the better gluten free crusts that I have eaten. I ordered a pizza from the special board, Steak with Chimichurri Pizza. OMG! My mouth is watering writing this. It was THAT good. There was a bit of a wait on a Saturday night for dinner. We both got drinks from the bar while we waited. The drink menu is inventive. The drinks were delicious. I got a Mango Habanero Margarita and my friend got the Blue Raspberry Mule, both fantastic. Once seated, the ambience is simple. I have an appreciation for old buildings. I love the church conversion. We started our meal with an order of the Pesto Fries. They came so highly reviewed, why not..... They brought out a huge plate with a mountain of fries. My friend and I eyed it suspiciously, predicting leftovers. Nope! Gone! They were that good. I usually don't write a review after visiting a place only one time but this restaurant is exceptional. It was a good 45 minute wait but that's because it is so popular and I won't hold that against them. Once we were seated, the service was like lightning between getting us drinks and taking the order and getting the food on the table. Everyone said to get the pesto fries and they were amazing. The antipasto could have used some different greens but it was okay. The pizza was excellent, with a crispy crust just the way I like it and high quality toppings. What pushed this place to five stars is how cool the staff is. Everyone had a great personality. I thanked the chefs on my way out and they were grateful. The only negative is how dark the parking lot is and there are some stairs leading down to the parking lot and there are no lights out there. read more

However the place is a lot of solid surfaces inside and it is loud! On top of all of the conversation they had music on. If you have a hearing air this is NOT the restaurant for you, do take out. The place is not worried about Covid. People are inside relatively close and most workers are not masked. We rolled in on a Sunday night at 8pm after a long day of winter hiking in the UP. There were only a few scattered tables of people, and our server was very attentive and friendly. Thankfully the server told us that you can take order 1/2 pies because we couldn't decide. We got 1/2 order of pesto fries, 1/2 Fun Guys and 1/2 Cubano. The Cubano was UH-MAZING! Who would have thought that an incredible sandwich could be turned into something even better?! It's so unique and delicious. This was my first visit to Rustique. I was surprised how busy the restaurant was on a Wednesday and it was a good omen. The atmosphere was nice. We sat inside although there was also outdoor seating. The kitchen was open so you could see food prep. The restaurant had 2 pizza ovens and hand tossed the crust. There was a very good selection of toppings. I had the Classico and it was very good. Not sure what I can say better than anyone else who has raved about how good their food is. It's amazing! I only had the pizza but wow is it good! The crust is thin and delicious. The sauce is spot on and the ingredients are super fresh. They really know how to make a grade A pizza! A huge takeaway is the price for what you get. Personal size wood fire pizzas keep getting more expensive and they are doing nothing to warrant it. On the road to the UP tonight and we wanted to stop for some ZA for dinner. We picked this place on a whim, not knowing what to expect but it is now hands down our favorite pizza place in Wisconsin. We put our name on the wait, but it didn't take long to find a spot in the bar. Instantly we were greeted by a bartender, Elijah, who gave impeccable service! The bartenders were busy, yet we never felt neglected, every part of our stay was spot on. They also make a killer old fashion. Elijah suggested a featured appetizer, Gambino (fried dough with spicy marinara), a great choice. Lightly fried, not too greasy and the sauce was a creamy marinara with just the right amount of spice. We ordered the Sausage Basil Pizza, great flavor combos with the sauce, cheese and right amount of toppings with the perfectly crisp crust. I usually had to specifically ask for the green peppers to be added last because I want it crunchy and fresh, my husband said to just let them do it their way and to see for ourselves how they make it. And boy was I surprised! They make it exactly how I wanted it! The meat was of good portion and flavorful and aromatic. Before the pizza, I ordered the antipasti salad, which was soooo good I inhaled it without taking pictures. We also ordered the chicken wings and were equally delicious. This is a great joint to eat! The wait staff is all young, so they kinda look at things happening around them while taking your order. ( we are over 50). Anyhow, the salad was scrumptious and huge. Lots of bacon. The pizza is wood fired and they really should distribute the sauce around the whole pizza, it was centered, pretty much. And lastly, the Cubano! Someone at this restaurant must've gone to Florida or Cuba. Very original and tasty. My husband's drink didn't taste like Jameson.
