Wow! Is the best way to describe my experience with John, the Pack Leader for the Mobile Grooming Service I experienced. I have been looking for a reliable dog groomer since I returned to Forney. My experiences from some well known pet groomers in the area were less than Stella; however, my experience with the Pack Leader Mobile Grooming service was by far STELLA. I paid $32 dollars more than what I have ever paid for my fur baby, but what I desired for my fur baby is what I got, a full grooming that did not leave him looking a hot mess. Instead, John took time to calm my fur baby down by walking him and working with him to de-matt and care for his fur providing him with an even and smooth cut. I also appreciate John's patience by finding a time and day suitable for my schedule. This grooming service is Monday-Friday with no weekends. He also serves the Forney, TX area. John gave me some helpful tips to help me keep my fur baby's fur, which includes his tail, manageable. I highly recommend this dog grooming service if you are looking for top quality care for you fur baby. I am excited about my next appointment. I will work hard to ensure it is cheaper than this one by following up on John's grooming advice. read more

John has been grooming my Shih-Tzu for over 3 years now. He takes the best care of her and she comes out looking spectacular every time. I highly recommend The Pack Leader and couldn't see myself taking my dog to anyone else. 10/10 service! read more

Absolutely amazing! I have an anxious, aggressive schnauzer poodle mix (Neville) so places like PetSmart refused to even try to groom him. I'm a bit embarrassed that Neville is so difficult with strangers, so I was nervous bringing him to anyone and would avoid it until it was absolutely necessary. Then I found The Pack Leader. He takes the time to sit with Neville before starting anything. Neville never gets 100% comfortable during the sessions, but with each visit, he's getting better. Our first session took almost 3 hours. Today took less than 2! And he always looks great when I pick him up! I now have recurring appointments set up because we are so happy with The Pack Leader! read more

our older dog Carlie is very anxious and always had intestinal issues after the groomers. Too much noise and chaos always resulted in a vet visit. She loves John, but hates the bath! He is so good with her and she is clean, smells good and relaxed. 10 of 10 would recommend. read more

I love these guys. I have a maltese who had never been groomed by a professional before. he is 4 yr old... i was clipping him myself. They did an EXCELLENT job. I was leary that my dog was going to snap at them but he didn't. I will be calling them to groom my dog again! read more

I have never left a review before, but this groomer was incredible with my dog Luna today. She was extremely matted after being left with my parents while we traveled. He took the time to get to know Luna, walking her and loving on her before putting her in the van, then spent hours working on her matted hair. She also isn't stressed out like she normally is after being groomed. I highly recommend them. read more

Thank you Felipe for such a great job with our little Coco!! I have been searching for a groomer that would be gentle with our little Yorkie being that she is aging and is very timid. Coco has found her forever groomer in The Pack Leader! and what better way to have your doggie groomed than having them right outside your door.....this was the best! Thank you again John and Felipe - you two are amazing! read more

I love the concept of mobile grooming. I usually took my dog to Petsmart and they usually take their sweet time. Sometimes they even forget to call us and notify us that he is ready to be picked up! We don't want to leave our dog there any longer than needed because he hates that place. I had an appointment recently on a Thursday at 9 AM. I forgot what the groomers name was but she was super nice. Arrived on time, asked us how we want our dog's hair cut, and got clarification when needed. It took just over 2 hours for the full grooming - a bit longer than I had expected. But that's okay cuz that means she isn't trying to rush through it! I have a Maltese (9 lbs) so it may even take longer of bigger dogs or dogs with more hair. Anyway, she delivered my baby back to me smelling delicious and with a cute bandana. She paid good attention to the instructions we gave before the cut, so that is much appreciated. The total cost was $95, they only accept check and cash. They usually book up fast so call ahead, especially if you want it on a Friday. Also they are only open on weekdays. read more

Was looking for a last minute groomer literally hours before I had to head out of town. Came across this business and called after all other vets were booked weeks out. The owner changed his schedule around just to accommodate my last minute need and arrived to my home within 2 hours. So professional, clean and efficient. My last booking was February 10th. It's April and my dogs hair is still shiny and receiving compliments. Just booked our next appointment. Highly recommend! read more

I just wanted to let you know how thrilled and impressed we are with the grooming job you did on Gizmo, our beloved Pembroke Welsh Corgi! The thinning out of his undercoat is just incredible, hardly any hair shed, something of a miracle for Corgi's! Minimizing shedding like this was worth every cent and he smells and feels lovely. I definitely recommend the pack leaders services! They are second to none! Thanks again, Kind regards Gizmo's Dad read more

Joao is the best groomer I have ever had. First off, he truly loves animals. This is so important when trusting someone with your pet. He is such a kind and gentle person. The first time he met my dogs he asked if he could bring them for a walk first so the dogs could get to know and be comfortable with him. This is a first by any groomer! He is so convenient because he comes to your home and picks your dog up from your front door. We have been grooming our pups for several years and have never found someone so passionate about pampering and caring for our dogs to make sure they look fabulous but are also not stressed out during the process. He is simply the best. read more

I was afraid of how her puppy cut would turn out since I did do my research on how a lot of groomers don't know how to do a doodle cut. In the end it turned out great! My baby looks beautiful and I highly recommend The Pack Leader. A people's person, can tell how passionate he is of his job and of all fur baby's! Definitely a 5 star quality service!! read more

I highly recommend The Pack Leader. John is a dog whisperer! I have an eleven year old Miniature Schnuazer who has recently been diagnosed with health issues, is very anxious about grooming and decided he was not going to be groomed. After being turned down by a couple of groomers who said they worked with senior dogs, I found The Pack Leader on Yelp. I called John and talked to him about my shy boy. John was very kind and reassuring. We set the appointment and when he arrived he took my dog and sat on the porch and chatted with him, then walked him a little bit before taking him into the grooming van. John did not rush and carried him to the door when the grooming was complete. I was amazed! My pup was relaxed and looked great! John is going to groom both of our pups when he returns in a few weeks. Worry no more. John is the very best! read more

He was very nice and did a great job! I would highly recommend! My dog did super well with him too.

This is the second time I had the services of The Pack Leader give both of my dogs excellent haircuts. They enjoy their Spa Day . Phillipe John's Son came today and he is excellent. I definitely recommend The Pack Leader. I tried several chain groomers, and none of them could groom my baby boy Fendi (anxiety). I also tried a couple of private groomers, and they suggested SUDATION just to groom him. Happy I continued to search. The Pack Leader truly is a leader of the pack! Customer for life! Laura did a fantastic job on my Cocker/Doxin mix. "Wookie" had some matting that I was worried about especially since my she had never been groomed before. But Laura was great with my little Wokie!!!Laura was able to take care of the mats while keeping most of the length! She did exactly what I asked and my dog came back happy and looking great!! Update We were regular customers until my financial situation took a turn for the worst. So my sister took Wookie to her groomer fo me. They caged her and muzzled her and when they started working on her she wS so freaked that she wt and messed herself! Thankfully they did not proceed! Meanwhile my financial situation has improved so I knew exactly who to call. We were unable to get an appointment with Laura but John told me that Aimee was just finished training. I was a bit apprehensive because of the bad experience Wookie had at the other groomer, but I trust John's judgement. WOW!!! We love Aimee now too! Aimee did a fantastic job! I couldn't believe it when she told me it was her 1st day on her own! Wookie was so happy when she came home! She said wook read more

I spent many years testing out different dog groomers in the bay area for my epileptic bichon poodle, Zeko. I was judging based on how well they cared for him, how well they cleaned his ears (very important for breads like his), and the visual result. The Pack Leader gets 5/5 on all levels, as well as being convenient. The owner is phenomenal, and it absolutely shows that he truly cares about his clients and business. They took very good care of my dog for many years, into his old age. Out of all the groomers I've been to over Zeko's life (at least 15), I would not recommend any other groomer. Thank you so much, The Pack Leader read more

Had a positive experience with John! Since adopting my schnauzer, I've had to book only sedated grooming via our vet due to what I consider fear and anxiety related aggression, this started after two unsuccessful attempts at two local grooming spas where we were nicely referred out from. I spoke to John via phone prior to our appointment, where we briefly discussed his experience, process, and expectations. I was impressed by the results! Rather than being referred out, we were provided with hope that we CAN continue to work on having positive grooming experiences moving forward. read more

My little Louis has been groomed by The Pack Leader for about 3 years now. I know some people will say, well your dog is so small you can groom him yourself. True. But I don't have any kids, essentially he is my kid. So why can't I treat him once in awhile. I decided to try mobile grooming after hearing all the horror stories about pets getting injured or even worse dying at grooming places like Petsmart or Petco. Plus I didn't like the fact that Louis would be there all day long just sitting in a cage waiting and waiting. Knowing him, he would probably be nervous, worried, and shaking all day in there. With The Pack Leader everything has been so easy and smooth. John, the owner, gets back to us right away to schedule our appointments. The day of, they are always on time, if not earlier. They will always text or call to let us know when they are on their way. The past few times Felipe has groomed Louis. He takes his time and listens to what we want. In about an hour he'll have Louis back with his fresh new haircut. It's always perfect! I can tell he loves animals. He's super friendly and professional. He took the time greet the 2 cats that "moved" into our front yard plus our other dog, Titus who loves attention. read more

Found our new regular groomer for both our dogs! Was nervous to switch groomers since our dogs have anxiety issues and have been going to the same groomer for years but we've never liked that our dogs are gone for 6-8 hours and sitting in kennels surrounded by tons of other dogs barking (which causes added stress/anxiety)....so we decided to give this mobile grooming service a try. John was so nice and patient with both our dogs - he sat on their level petting them and getting to know them and then walked them around the yard as well. On top of all that, the dogs look AWESOME and smell great. He also did a great job on the nails because I no longer hear them "clacking" on our hardwood floors. Would definitely recommend this mobile groomer! read more

My dog Phoenix was so furry and shedding everywhere. After calling the Pack Leader, which was a very easy process, they were able to get me in very quickly. Seeing Phoenix after her grooming was amazing- she was clean, smelled great, trimmed in all the right places, and looked so much lighter after her de-shedding treatment. Very impressed and we will definitely be calling again! Thank you! read more

Felipe came and groomed my veryyy senior black lab and my very temperamental miniature pintcher/chihuahua Most of the time my black lab has a terrible time being groomed and it ends up not even being worth my money at other groomers. This time with the Pack Leader I was AMAZED at how clean my dog was!! And I didn't hear her yelp in pain once! My dog looks brand new so shiny so soft! ZERO shedding and ZERO dander left over! And he trimmed her nails perfectly! He was obviously very thorough and also VERY gentle with her and I really appreciate that. My miniature pintcher/chihuahua has ALSO never smelled so fresh! He usually comes back to me still smelling like DOG but today he smelled like a DAISY!! Again, super impressed! This place is my new go to! And I LOVE that they come to you!! Worth every penny! Thank you Pack Leader and Felipe! read more

I used to get my dog groomed at Paw Prints. But they always nicked my dog without telling us (more than 2 times I should say!) and had my dog wait at their lobby FOR 4 HOURS prior to getting groomed. This stressed my dog out SO MUCH! So I looked for a mobile groomer instead. I have been with John and the Pack leader for about 2+ years now with no regrets! John and his son really take good care of our dog Kai and always lets us know if the cut is doable or not. John is a very honest man- and I really truly appreciate that about him. There have been times my call has not been returned within the day but I will always get a call back within 2 days at most. It has been such a relief to see my dog's anxiety lessen when he's getting groomed literally a couple of feet away from our home WITHOUT having to wait at some random lobby for HOURS without me! All thanks to the pack leader!!! My dog is a much happier dog! read more

We've had Joao' groom our 4 dogs (a Yorkie, a Morkie, a Miniature Pinsher, and a Yellow Labrador Retriever) for a better part of 10 years. John has been grooming my English Cockapoo for years and 2 years ago I added a new English Cockapoo to my household. He now grooms both dogs and they look terrific. My younger dog is a handful but John handles him beautifully. John is so conscientious and very knowledgeable. I've never seen someone work so hard and to such high standards. He once forgot to return my dog's collar and drove all the way from Fremont to Pleasanton at night to return it even though I told him to wait until my dog's next grooming appointment. John also grooms my son and daughter in law's service dog. I highly recommend John and I would trust no one else with my dogs. read more

Recently moved to east bay and needed a new groomer. It's our first time with the pack leader. I'm having some mixed feelings...... I've tried to get my anxious dog groomed and she gets sent back, but a good friend of mine recommended these guys and let me tell you my Petunia looks cute! My shih-tzu Gizmo is 3 and was refused by another groomer once for being "snippy". Since then, we cut his hair ourselves. Needless to say, Gizmo's haircuts were not very pleasing to the eye and his nails were sharp talons (VERY DIFFICULT to cut). My sister in law introduced us to The Pack leader Spa. John asked us why Gizmo had never been groomed before, and they still decided to give him a try. We were so impressed! After 1 hour, he came out of their van fluffy, clean, had a new bandana on, and his nails were no longer a problem. Totally worth the $85 since they come to your home. I love this company. John did a great job grooming my puppy. I definitely recommend this mobile groomer.

I found Pack Leader because I was looking for groomers who were good with agressive/fearful dogs. My 13 year old dachshund has always had a hard time with his paws being touched. He can get slightly bitey but mostly he will pull his paw away if you try to cut it or touch in between too much. John did a great job by establishing the relationship with my dog. He was able to cut his nails as far down as he could without hurting him. This was all in about 5 minutes. The next 5 minutes John spent showing me techniques to try and cut the nails myself. He also gave me some free clippers. Lastly he gave me these tips so that I could "save money." John was really honest and since I was only needing very basic nail trimming, he was very open about helping me out on something I shouldn't have to be spending lots of money over. Overall John was professional, honest and really passionate about pets and grooming. I really recommend his service! read more

Great experience for us and for our dog. John was very thorough and our dog looked great after the cut. The service was very professional.
