Always a great place to eat no matter the weather hot or cold. Have the best coffee as well.

Absolutely ridicules! Took over an hour to be seated and over another hour to receive our mediocre overpriced food. Don't waste your money!

Mac and cheese burger and jalapeño popper patty melt are great. Fries are good. Onion rings are better. Service was very fast and friendly.

The food is so good. I am from out of town visiting my family and they introduced me to the Oxbow. I highly recommend it.

The scallops were great (i hate to say surprisingly, but you really wouldn't expect both good…read morequality scallops, and them being well-prepared, in Wyoming)! What was even better was the ambiance, however! There was a performer playing, which you could hear well from the patio, which itself wasn't crowded, but which gave the feeling of being amongst the show-going crowd while being partitioned off. The patio's also dog friendly (albeit a little narrow).

So, an earlish dinner with my mom here on a weekday. Lovely space on the positive…read more I ordered us the crispy Brussel sprouts as a starter. I wasn't too happy when I saw it. Sloshed to one side of plate (which I'm sure is what happened). $14+ for this appetizer and we got three Brussel sprouts, guessing half the app fell off before service . Underwhelming. I mentioned this to server and she said she would check with kitchen. Mom got the wedge, which she loved. I went for meatloaf and my mom went for ribeye steak as mains. My meatloaf was okay. I did like the ancho chili glaze, tasty! My mom's expensive ribeye was badly overcooked. She ordered medium rare and got medium well on the well side. She simply ate a little and took the rest home for the dog. Expensive dogfood. Service was slow and after I asked about Brussel sprouts, pretty invisible. Never got an answer on them. We left before dessert and just got ourselves ice cream cones at corner instead. Our $12 spent there at I scream was best culinary investment of the night. Overall, no excuses for slow or absent service on weeknight early. App was either half on floor or messy and WAY overpriced for three sprouts. Steak was cooked badly. I would not repeat this expensive experiment. We spend a couple weeks near Lander each summer. Sure liked its food scene better when it was just a cowtown. The California influence hasn't improved it

Well, if you are one of the coastal elite who have invaded the cowboy town that I've spent summers…read morein for over 50 years, you might like this place, otherwise, steer clear of it. On the positive side, their outside dining space is delightful. Shady, tree filled and charming. If you simply want a place for a coffee and a chat - enjoy! Now to the food. The menu seems overthought from the get go. Constant references to local, housemade etc. It tries to sell a certain experience but completely fails to deliver. My mom and I both opted for a simple grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato bisque soup. Soup was solid if on the salty side. I almost have no words for how bad the simple grilled cheese was. No butter or oil of any kind on outside of sandwich. Cheese on inside was a slice of provolone and some scattered cheddar. Not even melted through. Tasted more like stale bread than grilled in anyway. Vessel for soup had such a small top opening that it was impossible to dip without cutting the sandwich beyond halves. (Isn't dipping what you order grilled cheese and tomato soup to do?) Water was never refilled at table despite two requests when they came by to refill coffee. My friends had a quinoa bowl with poached egg on top and the other a simple cheeseburger. Neither even finished half which tells me a lot. The friend who ordered a cheeseburger decided to try their "signature " sautéed spinach instead of fries as a side. His spinach side could have fit into a teaspoon. This place might appeal to the NOLA/girls with unshaven armpits crowd but for honest, hungry people- walk away. It's just a very bad presentation of cali style casual cuisine. BTW, four of us. Two grilled cheese/cup of tomato soup plates, two coffees, one quinoa bowl and one cheeseburger with a teaspoon of spinach- 100+ Unbelievable. The more I see all the gentrification of californication of Lander, the more I hate it and unfortunately, the Middle Fork pretty much sums up what is wrong with Lander's "emerging " food scene.

I previously reviewed this restaurant and loved it. Visited today and ordered the exact same…read morebreakfast featured in my earlier review (2 eggs to order). It was awful. Potatoes were burnt, scrambled eggs overdone and rubbery, spinach slimy and greasy. If that's still "locally sourced" bacon they should save themselves some money and go to Safeway. Solidly underwhelming experience. Will not be returning.

Home of the Big Cone [Farson WY]…read more This was a nice stop. They had a lot of novelty merchandise and souvenirs, snacks and, of course, what they're famous for... big cone ice cream. Yes, please! Husband had the Mint Chocolate Chip and I chose Moose Tracks, I've tried this yummy flavor before in Dupuyer MT. We chose the "baby" size and whoa, wow! these babies are humongous! I usually never had to waste ice cream in my life but I just couldn't finish this delicious towering Moose Tracks... the "baby" sizes are definitely shareable but hubby and I don't have the same taste when it comes to ice cream. Aye Yai Yai... well, at least I was able to eat almost half of the serving. The employees are friendly and helpful. There was a lot of customers for the ice cream and they were efficient and fast. This store had a sitting area where you can enjoy your ice cream (indoor and outdoor seating), they also have restrooms (one person at a time). I was also able to find some stickers here for my collection... Review #3482

I bought some Wyoming jade earrings and some Wyoming made soap for a gift. Clean bathrooms but only one bathroom stall just FYI because there may be a line!
