    Cinnamon roll.
    Brian W.

They definitely get busy, I was happy to beat the rush on my last visit. Cheese sticks were pretty decent, saved a few for a mid-day snack. Cinnamon roll, though, ended up reminding me more of dough and less of awesomeness, which was a bit disappointing as I really love a good cinnamon roll. Kind of wish I had tries a few more items, but after the cinnamon roll my enthusiasm to do so was somewhat diminished. There are only a few bakeries in Jasper, and The Other Paw is a serviceable option.

Oh man!!!!! We had never been here... not sure why? There are two locations- The Bears Paw and this one. We ordered cinnamon buns, chocolate croissant, and sandwiches. I can't remember the name of the sandwich I had but it was delicious- chicken, goat cheese and all the things. The cinnamon buns were the best I've ever had in my whole life!!!

Good homemade baked products, and the espresso based coffees are very good. The homemade soup was so good too (fire roasted pepper and tomato bisque, and the Thai chicken soup). There is the main bakery called Bear's Paw Bakery, but I prefer the The Other Bear's Paw Bakery!!

ABSOLUTELY GREAT SANDWICHES! After a morning filled with driving, hiking and wild animals - we decided to come to this cafe as it is approved by OPRAH herself :) We ordered the Old Town Panini (correct me if i called it the wrong name) It is delicious, savorty, and warm. The sandwich is filled with a generous amount of prosciutto arugula! I know that doesn't seem like any special sandwich but I am telling you, this was delicious! the bread was crispy and buttery, and the also add a roasted pepper in the sandwich. This sandwich made the wait and super crowded small cafe worth all the annoyance :) We also had their Marshmallow latte. It was a bit underwhelming but I was glad that it wasn't too too sugary! I definitely recommend this cafe. Just be aware that this place is packed 24-7 and make sure you get a seat while someone orders your food!

I always love this place. It's sometimes easy to confuse The Other Paw with The Bear's Paw. Here is your tip, the other Paw makes sandwiches and other meals, while the Bear's Paw mostly sells take-out baked goods. Also The Other Paw is the one on the main road through Jasper while the Bear's Paw is on a corner in Jasper. Either choice is a good choice and the baking is wonderful.

Long lines, the found the paw. Lol. Latte was too hot but really good once it cooled down a bit so I'm not burning my tongue anymore. The samosa I had was tasty, had to heat it myself, there's a microwave. Very pricy!

Highly recommend the pumpkin bar. Tastes like a hybrid of a pumpkin pie and an oat bar

I adore this place as much as their other location. The Other Paw offers more sandwich options as well as a bigger seating area, which the Bear Paw lacks. I also noticed on my numerous visits to here that they had slightly different sweet treats. Their selection of baked bars stood out to me. I tried their pumpkin bar and it was absolutely divine! Just like all their other treats, the portions are quite generous. Feel free to share or if you're feeling hungry like I was after a hike, you can est it all by yourself.

Spent some time at The Other Paw today! Stopped during the day to pick up some drinks as we checked out the town. My husband got a latté and I picked up the chocolate chai. Both were awesome. Later in the day we took our cribbage board and ordered another latté and a hot chocolate. It was so nice to sit there. The staff is very friendly. We didn't eat anything but all the food looked fabulous. They also have photos of the cakes they do for weddings and parties. I would totally recommend checking out The Other Paw.

Back area, kitchen, really quaint. Just a note to staff... Customers can hear *everything*.

Pluses: free WiFi with no sign in, beautiful view, quick debit, cheapest latte I've found in town so far (but small), free chocolate covered espresso bean on my to go cup, some gluten free options (which are worse than wheat for most of us, don't get me started... One salad *might* be grain free). Minuses: staff have to pay for their own drinks (??), uses syrup in their mochacchinos (no mochas, oddly), latte actually a cappuccino, slow line, debit in a really odd place forces you to push other folks in line away to use it, below average English for both of the staff I interacted with. Really nice, just time consuming when there's a huge lineup (like there was when I was there), latte wasn't very good (how can you burn espresso? Horrible aftertaste). Cute shop, just not something I'll return to. I continue my adventure for a fantastic mocha in Jasper!

A great place to pick up some fortifying snacks or have a meal before a day of hiking. Whatever you get, always end your meal with a cinnamon bun. They are big enough for sharing if you've had a sizeable meal and is the perfect dessert. The sugar coating has somehow baked itself to a caramel-toffee texture which makes it amazing. Better yet, don't' share it at all and take it to go for a snack after a good couple hours of hiking. There is a cozy room in the back with a fireplace to curl up with one of their many hot drinks. Lovely place for a breakfast, snack or treat for the day.

This place is basically a coffee shop / bakery. The reason it's called The Other Paw is because the owners also operate The Bear Paw bakery just two blocks away. This one is located more in the center of town mixed among Jasper's quaint restaurants and gift shops. The inside has a somewhat hippy non-corporate grungy vibe to it. I enjoyed the back room. The back room makes for a good place to pull out a laptop, relax, and kill some time surfing the web. My beverage and dessert square treat were both fine. No complaints there. From what I can tell they do bake some items on site at this location. I'm sure whatever they don't make here they get from their mother ship bakery. Just from the names alone, my guess is that one opened first.

This is not worth the $$. The coffee is mediocre and pastries are hard. There must be other places in this town

After a long hike in the rain we were ready for a tasty meal with drinks!…read more Since this place had great reviews we took a chance and wern't disappointed. I have to admit I may of groaned a bit climbing the flight of stairs up to the restaurant after a verticle climb up a mountain earlier, however the trek up was worth it. We were seated right away, and greated by Maddy soon after although wern't ready to place our drink orders quite yet. After a bit we had moved onto the menu choices where Maddy hadnt come back and was having a casual chat for a while with the bar tender so I walked over and asked to place our drink orders. Since they wern't busy and we were thirsty we were both a tad annoyed as we felt a little forgotten. I ordered the Cabernet and my guy the Rhino Hazy IPA draft. My wine was delishious although pricey for an 8oz glass. We both agreed the IPA was a bit heavy on the citrus notes so my guy opted for the The Apex Predator Ale on the next round which was much better. The food came out quickly where I had the Truffle Tortellini with cajun shrimp with Maddy's suggestion and it was SO good! My guy had the Alfredo with chicken which to both of us was a bit bland. After a while of the food being dropped off Maddy came around where we asked for some salt and pepper and parmesan which did help the alfredo dish. I ordered a second glass of 5oz wine, less than the already costly 8oz pour but our server brought the 8oz pour. She apologized when I told her was pretty sure I ordered the 5oz but told her I would just keep it. This place has good food, a nice kind of trendy atmosphere which is updated and stylish, with a good menu. Our service wasn't top notch but have had way worse and we thought Maddy was nice at least. The food and drinks are pricey but would definitely return.

Great food, great service, good time!…read more Only issue is that the prawn appetizer seemed a bit steep for 4 prawns. Josh at the bar was awesome!
