YUM. Ordered the traditional cinnamon and sugar beaver tail and it was so delicious! Crunchy and fluffy at the same time. Service was quick, and it came out warm!

okay for some reason, I really thought beavertails was this long ass donut thing and I am not a fan of big donuts. so I already had low expectations and hesitant. but my cousin said the thing you MUST get in Banff or jasper are the beavertails. so I reluctantly went with my friend and we decided to split one since we were gonna eat dinner later... bruh we should have gotten OUR OWN!!!! I was actually so sad when we gobbled ours down and it was done in under 5 minutes. we got some super chocolatey one called mud pie. I am not a huuuuge sweets person, so I am glad even tho the name makes it out to be some diabetic monstrosity, it was actually not that sweet. the funnel cake breading really balanced out the chocolate, with a nice and warm chew. the whipped cream on top contrasted the breading and was a nice break for only chocolate.

This is a great snack to share with your friends. Plenty of indoor and a cute picnic table outside. We enjoyed the pistachio, it wasn't overly sweet but definitely couldn't eat alone. I still think the plain cinnamon is the best. The service is great too!

These were just OK. Wanted to stop by since we were in Jasper. As others have mentioned as well, this didn't satisfy my sweet tooth. We have something called the Ponchik in the Los Angeles area. It's fried donut with Nutella filling inside. It's sooooo tasty. I was expecting something like that but the spread on top was so little :-/

Looking for a sweet treat and wanting to try an authentic Canadian dessert, we found ourselves after dinner at BeaverTails in downtown Jasper. They have several locations throughout Canada, but this one just happened to be the one we stopped at. We each ordered a different flavor and our own Beavertail but after having a larger dinner, it was definitely too much. We could have easily split one. My husband opted for one of their most popular flavors - the Skor candy flavored one - while I got their chocolate chocolate chocolate one (don't remember the name). I have a sweet tooth, but this was a sugar rush! I think this would be more enjoyable if I had gone with a simpler flavor, but I did enjoy my husband's a little bit more than mine.

This is a fun take on a "Dutch Boy" cute hip place that has earned its place on the main strip in Jasper. Service friendly and helpful. Not a major fan of the beaver tail but I see the appeal and why they have been here for so long. It's a nice messy treat, just not my kinda messy treat wink wink! If I get here again I'd probably just have a cinnamon sugar with lemon. K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Sexy

Came here to try the beaver tail which is a cross between a donut and a funnel cake. There's a variety of flavors and even a poutine topped beaver tail (named a poutail). Ended up getting the maple beaver tail since I figured it made sense for canada. The beaver tail was lighter than expected and the dough itself isn't as heavy as funnel cake. The maple crunch sugar was good but the maple syrup was a bit too sweet. I which I had gotten the plan beaver tail which I think would have been the perfect post-dinner dessert but happy that we stopped by to try it.

i heard about this place and that it was a must try. store was conveniently in town of jasper and came after we ate lunch. inside it pretty small and there are a few seats to sit inside or sit outside. service was good. as for the actual beavertail, i ordered the strawberry cheesecake and it was good! very light and not too sweet. a little expensive for what it actually is, but was a nice little treat after lunch.

Found this shop after reading an article about Jasper Alberta. No disappointment. The pastry is light and fluffy. My favorite is cinnamon and sugar, but there are many combinations, including candy and ice cream. All looked delicious. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Wish we had a Beaver Tail shop in Illinois. .

WOW just wow. Was recommended beavertails from one of the waitresses while visiting from the states and was definitely not disappointed. The mix of the warm donut beavertail with the cold icecream will never get old. Ended up going back a second night. Would definitely recommend

Some of the fun of taking my granddaughter for ice cream disappeared when we hit a few obstacles inside. The first was no samples, which she wanted. They have signs all along the plexiglass ice cream wall stating no samples. The second obstacle was you pay before you order. You decide what size ice cream you want and pay the cashier, who gives you a poker chip to present to an ice cream scooper behind the plexiglass wall. I found having that procedure explained to me when I just tried to order an ice cream annoying. The third obstacle was dealing through the plexiglass wall. Me and the ice cream scooper ended up not on friendly terms. My scoop of Grandma's Caramel Machiano was very good and my granddaughter enjoyed her waffle cone of something. It is just a shame the shop has to be so restrictive so no one gets a taste or walks out with a scoop for free.

Just a warning, they might be low key witches. They claim that their sorbet's are dairy free, but I swear they are so creamy that they could be mistaken for ice cream. A delightful treat for those of us who can't have dairy. Overall, highly recommended. If you're in Jasper AB, stop by Grandmas, you won't be disappointed.

What I didn't like about the breakfast experience is the cup size for coffee! I think the cups are small compared to the similar businesses. For dinner they have a better menu and the food is pretty good! I have tried their special a couple of times and I enjoyed some of their dishes and appetizers! I didn't enjoy their cocktails since they seemed to be a bit homemade quality, and maybe overpriced? My good example is their old fashion which was the smallest I've even seen! The interior design and the atmosphere is great and a great place for date nights! The staff was always nice, friendly and helpful and I liked the customer service! Overall the quality of the food is good and I know I'll definitely go back there!

For breakfast we ordered the alpine start (yogurt with homemade musli, brioche with jam) and the waffle plate. We enjoyed both of them; there were a good starting for our morning (breakfast opens at 7:30am). For dinner we tried the chicken, the meatloaf and the ribs. Everything was very good. I can't complain about the taste of the food. My only "complain" is about the small portion of every dish and how slow was the service during the dinner. The first time we ate here we waited almost 1 hour for our meal (I know there was a big group and other tables, but the service was very slow). Overall the restaurant and the place are amazing because of the view of Athabaskan river and the mountains around and they have s'more pit and other event almost every night.

Tried the: Potato Gratin: 9/10, really grainy but could tell they used a lot of real cheese. Potato was perfectly cooked and I loved that there was lots of sauce. Very pretty presentation. Orange chicken: 8.5/10, chicken as super tasty but just too much ginger for me in the sauce. Rice was very very bland. Spiralized diakon/parsnip was a great light vegetable that Looked like raw onion but thankfully wasn't. Loved it. Drink, The Opener: 10/10. Size appears small but by the end of it I was done with it. Wow taste though. Boyfriend said you can taste the rum but I got more banana and minty. 100% would get again. Got pretty strong by the end but really liked the flavor combo And the color.
