Coffee bar is super fancy and it's not divey at all. Lots of signage 'no outside food or drink' and barista will ask you to not eat outside food if she sees you. What an uncommonly fantastic cappuccino, adorned with one of my favorite animals of all time. The talent to make this level of latte art speaks to the kick-ass barista working here. This was also the first and last bear sighting on our trip, but I loved every second of it. Pro tip: I guess they also own the upstairs coffee spot too, so you will be good either way. It was such a cool and refreshing atmosphere inside. Loved this little coffee shop and so glad we stopped in! I had checked out the reviews for the coffee shops in Jasper and this one caught my eye. We stopped in on a Saturday late morning/early afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! We both ordered Americano's and while the barista was preparing our drinks we looked at the "Post-It Wall". Awesome concept, really enjoyed both my cups of coffee here. We were overnight backpacking Berg Lake down the road so when we stopped back in town we were looking for a place to help us wake up and clean up as well. We were exhausted and smelt like poo, mildew and firewood combined but the awesome hospitality and the sweet smell of coffee made it all better. It is also a laundry mat so theoretically we could've washed our clothes but ain't nobody got time for thattttt... They also do latte art here which is pretty sweet. I got a mocha latte and my friend got a matcha latte, both delicious (cause I sipped his drink without him knowing).. However.. we failed to finish Berg Lake since the snow was up to our chest (no snowshoes.. awesome planning) so we'll definitely be back again for a cup when we try Berg Lake again in the future. read more

Snowdome is a kiosk located inside a laundromat. It is a convenient combination since you can enjoy coffee while you do your laundry. My latte had a hint of bitterness so the beans could have been slightly extracted better. However, the microfoam and overall latte was smooth. The latte art could have been better but the substance of the drink was fine. Snowdome also bakes their own goods. I tried the bran apple blueberry muffin. It was very good. My friend and I were in Jasper for a day trip today and loved this quirky little coffee kiosk set up in a laundromat. Both the guys working were very friendly and as others have already mentioned the latte art they do is a nice touch you don't get in the big chains like Starbucks and Second Cup. The price points are also about the same for beverages but I felt the raspberry truffle latte I got was infinitely better than anything I have picked up at Starbucks. We will definitely return the next time we adventure out to beautiful Jasper! read more

Saw a sign for Snowdome while walking along the Main Street in Jasper and had to check it out because how often do you find a full cafe within a laundromat? We got a double flat white and their seasonal maple latte- both of which we really enjoyed. They have plenty of seating inside (couches, chairs, tables, etc) that melds surprisingly well with the washers and dryers. They also have baked goods, coffee beans, and wifi you can purchase. Think coffee shop in your grandma's basement while you're doing laundry, but she charges and invited the neighbourhood, and that's about right. It's funky in a "Jasper working local under 30" sort of way. Lineup for two drinks... A bit surprised. Two people working. Couldn't figure out if it was the store processes or just poor flow, but it was sllloooow. I went to pick up my drink, but oops, it was the person in front of me! Thankfully the staff caught me (twice). What can I say, I'm an eager beaver. Cost about the same everywhere else in town, although I think this is the cheapest ($4.30 for a 12 Oz latte... No mocha here, because it's syrup). Not a lot of food here, one gluten free offering (cookie). Nothing for grain free folks. Some really fun drink options, though. Campfire = cocoa and a marshmallow. Some sort of cold flower drink that I didn't catch. A few teas. Staff were sweet and helpful, going so far as to write me out a receipt on a sticky note (yep, that's me!) since they can't print them out. Nutshell? This is Jasper's version of a hipster coffee shop. I know I look much younger, but I guarantee you I was the only person over 30 in the place... And there were a good dozen people here, including two folks "connecting" over a map. ;) read more

I won't lie: I walked downstairs and into my field of vision came... washing machines. Lots of washing machines. Thoughts will go through your head: "Have I entered the wrong establishment? Is this a laundromat?" The answer to these questions are no and yes, respectively. But in addition to have laundry facilities, SnowDome also happens to have killer espresso coffee. I tried a few in Jasper while I was there and this was hands down the best. The baristas actually know what they're doing. Highly recommended! read more

Am not one to give bad reviews, but whilst I really loved your coffee (the Raspberry Truffle is indeed delicious), the service received was just downright unpleasant. The first time we stepped in, we asked the guy serving at the counter for recommendations & he waved dispassionately at a small sign at the counter stating the house specials. We took slightly more than a minute to decide, during which he gave off a rather irritated & impatient vibe while waiting for our order, even though there wasn't anyone else in the line. Understand not everyone in the service line is bubbly & friendly, or we may have caught him on a bad day. That said, we really liked the Raspberry Truffle we got, so decided to stop by again the next day. The same guy was just by the counter & because my dad needed the washroom quite urgently, my first request to him was for a token to the washroom, to which he replied very offhandedly "It's for customers only." "Yes, we're going to purchase a coffee." "(waves at the counter) You can purchase your coffee there." So.. were you afraid that we were going to use your washroom & then run away without purchasing anything, so much so that you couldn't spare a washroom token until I had paid for my cup of coffee? I'm not sure if we caught him at a bad time (twice), or that he didn't like serving non-caucasians, but we were usual paying customers who were neither rude nor unreasonable, and his service unfortunately tainted our impression of Snowdome very much. read more

This is a delicious coffee bar in a basement, attached to a laundromat. Who would have thought that would equal some of the best coffee I have had in a while, but it does. I mean seriously, I had a chai latter and an americano and both were perfection. This is an interesting little place and the best way I can describe it is a hipster's laundromat. I grew up with laundromats being these dark depressing things (with fluorescent lighting) where you had to endure a Sunday afternoon of crying children just to get your clothes clean. This place had artwork on wall, a delicious coffee shop, and nice leather seating. Not going to lie, it was mild culture shock going into the place. Anyway...on to the coffee....the coffee bar is pretty basic but they have regular specials and can seem to make anything. They have non-coffee drinks as well (such as seasonal variations, hot chocolate, and tea) and literally everything smelled delicious. Its also an old-fashioned internet cafe (you know the kind where are computers to use) and paid wifi. They don't really have food except some tasty pasties and a few muffins. All-in-all, if you want amazing coffee in Jasper you HAVE to come here. It was so good I just had to stop on my way out of town to make sure I had some sustenance for the road back to Calgary. read more

It took my husband and I a couple days to figure that out but we are so happy we found the SnowDome we had walked past it so many times and didn't give it much thought because it is also a laundromat but I read someone else's review on yelp and we gave it a try. Recommended to us by the locals and totally worth it! Located inside of a laundromat a few steps down from the sidewalk this place was unexpected for us. They have a lot of unique coffee options, but I went for my traditional non-fat latte and it hit the spot just right after a nice long trail run in the park. It's down in the basement together with a laundry shop so you sit next to washing machines, and your coffee smell gets mixed with the smell of tide, the sound of the coffee grinder overpowered by spinning clothes. The staff asked me trice if I was sure I didn't want any treats. And wifi is not for free. The coffee wasn't even that great.
