So, I haven't been here in a decade or so, but the fact that I am needing to write this review is a sign that they're doing a superb job at maintaining standards for breakfast foods as a whole. The service was great, it felt like a warm bundle of sunshine on a Sunday morning breakfast. We went at 7 am to beat the morning rush and it was well worth it. The interior is the classic diner layouts but I saw that the glass dividers were being cleaned thoroughly. Big plus and wow moment. The food itself, I did not expect such a yummy and large portion of food at all. The omelette, the pancakes, the scrambles, it was all just a delight. I would recommend this place over any ihop, Denny's, or anything like that for sure

There was a 30 minute wait, so the anticipation of good food was all I could imagine. The check-in process was easy and even receive a text for the waitlist, which allows someone to wait in the car (they give you 10 minutes from text). The overall environment was that of a pancake house, but well lit and enjoyable to catch up with family. The server took our drink order quickly and came out in reasonable amount of time. When the drinks came out took our food order. Menu had a variety of items to choose from but choose the oven baked western omelette with a side on pancakes. The food came out and was impressed with the quality and proportions of the food. The manger came out and provided a specialty item (I think part of the name was Dutch). He explained how to enjoy the item the best way by putting some lemon on top. Overall, left feeling filled!

Update Jan 2026: Food quality is consistently great. Baked Omelettes are the highlight. Crepes are still addictive. I could eat a whole stack. Fresh squeezed orange juice brightens up any breakfast. Service is still fast and attentive. Upping my review to 5-stars.

The original pancake house is a traditional classic family breakfast diner. Usually when I star these I compare them to others like Corey's or Polly's and other pancakes driven breakfast spots. this pancake was good and honestly the pancake are it's saving grace so I would definitely get pancakes here again. The overall vibe is country style breakfast, they have a fun theme and I like that there is natural lighting from all the windows. It can get packed which is a good thing for the business as it meets the intended crowd. The service was great, our host kept checking in on us, we also kept asking for stuff and she got it to us in a timely manner and always made sure we had a filled cup of coffee. The pancakes were delicious, my fiancé got the chocolate chip pancakes and I got the lemon ones and we enjoyed them both. I also got a country skillet pretty much, it was eggs with mushrooms, bell peppers ham and sausage all cooked in together. It was not bad and I did have some eggshells in it . I asked for some salsa to maybe help the flavor a bit but the salsa was really salty so I ended up use it the Cholula sauce. Usually when you make these kinds of skillets you want to cook all the meats and then toss in potatoes to soak up and use all the oil from the meats to crisp them up and then the eggs so the eggs don't get to greasy. I could just toast some of the oil so it was not the best but it was not the worst. My fiancé got just sausage and eggs with a cheese potato with bell peppers it was good but overall the pancakes took the cake for us. We enjoyed the pancake house but we may just stick to the pancakes. We actually went there because we ordered the pancakes in one day and loved them so we dined in this time. If you're in the area give it a go I'm sure there are other delicious items on the menu and you won't be disappointed with their pancakes.

I've always wanted to visit the Original Pancake House, but every time I drove by, the line was out the door, which made me not want to bother. Recently, I decided to give it a try since the line wasn't bad, and even though the inside was pretty packed, I was surprised to be seated fairly quickly. There was plenty of seating which helped the wait time to sit down and it's a very open space inside as well. The waitress was incredibly attentive, making sure I had everything I needed, and she was very friendly. The menu was full of delicious-sounding options, making it hard to choose, but I eventually settled on the Irish Omelette. It features corned beef hash and your choice of cheese--cheddar, pepper jack, or Swiss. You can even mix cheeses together so I got Swiss and pepper jack cheese and it also comes with a side of pancakes. Since the Irish Omelette is freshly made, it took a bit longer to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait. It was the fluffiest omelette I've ever seen and that's exactly how all omelettes should be. The combination of Swiss and pepper jack cheeses with the corned beef hash was incredible. Normally, I add lots of salt, pepper, ketchup, and hot sauce to my omelettes, but this one was so good that I barely needed any. The pancakes were just as impressive--light, fluffy, and delicious. They didn't need much syrup, but I couldn't resist drenching them in syrup anyway. I also tried the eggs and bacon breakfast, which came with another side of pancakes and an order of deluxe home-fried potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were especially tasty. Overall, I'm thrilled I finally got to try the Original Pancake House. It's now my new favorite breakfast spot, and I only wish I had visited sooner!

Western Omelette

Restaurant is down the street from the hotel I'm staying and I wanted to try it out. I did go during breakfast/brunch so there was a slight wait. The ambience, when walking in, gives diner vibes... Overall clean, there was a fly that kept bothering me though. I ordered the Western omelette that came with three buttermilk pancakes and a side of country potatoes. Also, you know I can't forget my coffee. Initially, I wanted the latte, but they were all out of espresso. I was extremely impressed with the omelette, very delicious. I would go back just for the omelette!!! As far as the pancakes, I have had better...they were average and cold. The butter didn't even melt on them and the potatoes were under seasoned. I had to add salt and pepper to them. If you're in the area, you can give this place to try for yourself and see how you like it ....

The ambiance is nice. The Holiday decor is already up. The noise is a bit high because is busy, but one can still have a conversation. The problem is the wait. Not only that we waited 45 minutes (yes, it was our choice) to be seated, but we waited another 35 for our food to come and my four year old grandson waited another 10 minutes!! for his breakfast and my husband five extra for the hashbrowns. The food was alright, although my husband said the hashbrowns had an oily taste. We ate, but the vibe was not the best after seeing my poor grandson watch us get our food and having to wait.

Do you have hash browns on your menu? Thank you.

Hi Laura. We do not have hash browns, but we do serve home fried potatoes using cubed fresh Idaho potatoes. We also have potato pancakes on our menu which are shredded like hash browns but have egg in the batter. I hope this helps!

Do you have real Maple Syrup?

We do! We offer two kinds. One is our house-made maple syrup (which comes with our pancakes and waffles) but is not a true pure maple syrup. And we also sell 100% pure Vermont maple syrup ($2 for a 1.7oz bottle).

Honestly, from service to portion to food Quality, across the board everything was fantastic. Prices are fairly standard nothing exorbitant. The portions are great. I ordered the fried calamari which might've been the most tender and fresh calamari I think I've ever tasted. My wife had the Caprese salad, which was really fresh and well done. For the main meal, I had crab stuffed ravioli, and my wife had the steak beef bowl, which was enormous and could easily be shared with two people. The ravioli was excellent. The sauce was excellent. The flavor and the subtle sweetness of the crab shined through. My wife's steak bowl was also amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth tender. A very subtle heat in the seasoning from red chili, I believe. Chefs kiss. Our server was amazing and I feel horrible for not remembering her name, the woman who was working the front area was helpful and knowledgeable and just very welcoming. A special bonus was the old school 50s and 60s music. My mom would have loved it. This place is a definite guarantee for anyone who enjoys great quality food. We will be there again. I would've taken pictures of the food, but I am an absolute glutton and finished it...lol

When I first arrived around 11:00 to 11:30 AM, there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. When we first entered, Host Valerie directed me to wait to the side and said the cashier would help me. The cashier was busy, so I continued waiting patiently. I then noticed there was a separate line on the far right for customers only purchasing pies. Since nobody was assisting that line either, I allowed an elderly woman waiting there to go ahead of me so she could purchase her pie first. By the time my purchase was finally processed, it was already 12:34 PM according to my receipt. After that, Manager Mona informed me that Viri, the cashier on the left side, would help me. Unfortunately, despite telling me she would help me "in one second," she repeatedly assisted other customers before me and allowed multiple people to cut ahead in line. The overall organization and customer service were extremely poor. When placing my order, I specifically informed the staff that my wife is vegetarian and asked that her pancakes not touch the eggs or sausage and that those items remain separated. After waiting a very long time, Viri returned and informed me that the kitchen had made a mistake and had to separate the food. Honestly, I do not even believe the meal was remade properly. The biggest issue came after we got home with our to go order. We discovered hair in the food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious health and safety concerns. Between the wait time, the confusion with ordering, the repeated customer service issues involving Host Valerie, Manager Mona, and Viri, and then finding hair in the food, the entire experience was extremely frustrating. From the time I arrived until the time I got back home, the process took roughly from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, which was over two hours for a to go order that still ended up having health and sanitation concerns. I understand restaurants can get busy, but poor organization, lack of communication, food handling mistakes, and finding hair in food is simply not acceptable, especially when dietary restrictions were clearly communicated from the beginning.
