Potato Pancakes

Staff was so friendly and kind!! Brought everything we needed and kept our water glasses filled. Coconut pancakes were perfectly fluffy and sweet. Potato pancakes were savory and they provided plenty of sour cream. Home indoors, many tables and food comes out quick. Good for groups.

This restaurant is so good for breakfast. They have delicious gluten free options including many flavors of pancakes and waffles! Large parking lot. Pro tip- put yourself on the waiting list before coming in for a much quicker wait. Service is always fast and friendly. My nephews loved the hot chocolate with homemade whipped cream. The black coffee is surprisingly really good instead of typical diner coffee.

This is a charming, old fashioned place. The decor is like Grandma's house! Our server was very kind and efficient. Our food came out quickly and was delicious!! The portions were large and I enjoyed my leftovers. The only pitfall was that is was freezing cold in the restaurant.

Great breakfast spot in the area! I recommend joining the waitlist online before you arrive since they don't take reservations and wait times can get long. I had a peppermint hot chocolate--WOW! Nothing over the top, but honestly one of the best I've had this season. Breakfast was solid, and I love that they can make any of their specialty pancakes gluten-free upon request. Definitely worth a visit for a satisfying start to your day!

Love the pancakes here! - My go to are the 49ers and Chocolate Chip Pancakes! Located in a plaza with plenty of parking spots. Service can be a little slow sometimes but the staff is always friendly. Decor and furniture (the side of the booth I sat on during my visit yesterday on a large crack on it with duck tape over it) can use some improvements.

My husband and I went to The Original Pancake House on a Tuesday morning. Even at mid-morning this place was packed. As we left the entire front lobby was full of people waiting for tables. Always take this type of popularity as a sign of good things to come. I ordered the garden omelet (Broccoli, mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes and onions with cheddar cheese) and a side of pancakes and my husband ordered the fresh berry waffle (topped with fresh seasonal berries and whipped cream and berry syrup). My omelet and pancakes were fantastic. My husband's waffle came with more fruit than I've ever seen before. This was a terrific experience all around. I highly recommend The Original Pancake House!

This was my first stop in my mini midwest tour! What a great way to start the trip. The vibes were very cutie old diner, the food was delicious, and everything was super speedy! The only downside was how cramped it was, but that was just because everyone was frequenting this establishment! It's a tradition for my friend to bring her airport passengers here after their flight, and I'm so glad I got to reward myself with a fulfilling, yummy breakfast post red-eye.

- Our server refilled our coffee mugs frequently (i think it helped we were right next to the entrance to the kitchen.) - We got there right after they opened mid-week and there wasn't a wait but it started to fill up as we were leaving, it seemed like there were lots of regulars and senior citizens - we've been later in the morning and it's been packed with huge families. - An impressive variety of pancakes (with the option of a short stack!) and other breakfast foods and meats (ie pork, turkey, and chicken sausages both patties and links; thick cut bacon; corned beef hash.) - The parking lot isn't the biggest especially considering everything else in the strip mall. - The potato pancakes are pretty unique - very finely minced potatoes, not shredded like in latkes - cooked perfectly, so soft and crispy/lacy, would order again.

Awesome place for brunch! More than pancakes! My friends and I met here for brunch on a Friday. Short wait. One of us got pancakes, I had the half salad with soup and another the half sandwich with soup. Amazing food and service! After brunch we walked off the calories by just crossing over to the Galleria next door. What a lovely day!

Wow! There was a little wait at the door, which now I know for next time to get a reservation because around noon it was still busy ! The parking lot is big so there are plenty of parking spaces. I was impressed by our server that had over 10 tables in his section and was still fast and efficient. I ordered the meat lovers omelet with pancakes and my buddy got the waffle. The food was very good. The places was clean and very welcoming. I will definitely be back soon!

Fast service, called ahead to get name on the list. Food was great. Only thing we talked about was having more combinations French toast with something, eggs, bacon, or hash browns. Something to break up the sweetness. So instead of three French toast do two with one of the other options.

The food is amazing! Every time I visit I have the apple/ pecan crepe. The wait time can be long so I suggest you call to get on the list. You can also get on the list online too. The staff are courteous but always on the move. That's a good thing cause you get your food fast. Love the way the restaurant is decorated. The Tiffany lights are gorgeous. The omelets are gigantic, I think made with 4 eggs. Their menu is large with lots of choices.

The food and the service were exceptional. Never had to ask for another cup of coffee or a refill on beverages.

Meh food. Standard chain breakfast food ambiance. But the service was good. The staff hustle and deserve better pay than they get.

The coffee was really good (and I'm a picky dark roast coffee drinker). I ordered the seasonal Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. They were moist and had plenty of lemon flavor. Husband ordered eggs, bacon and pancakes. The bacon was slammin' good! My husband asked about the coffee, and was told he could buy a pound for $10.00 (which he did). We enjoyed our brunch so much, that we came back the following day. I ordered eggs, Rosti (Swiss hash browns) and pancakes and husband ordered the same thing as the day before. Once again, the meals were delicious! Now that we are back in California, we have some of that coffee to enjoy at home. Great place and when we return, we know where we're eating again!

I don't actually eat pancakes, so I had my favorite Corned Beef Hash and two eggs. Surprisingly, they came on separate plates, so I slid the eggs onto my hash and gave the server the extra plate. Delicious, as always. RC ordered the steak and eggs and demolished his. Grand JE ordered pancakes and devoured his short stack and four glasses of milk. Boy loves milk. It's always busy but especially on weekends, so we were prepared to wait, but it was only 10 minutes. The hostess takes your phone number to text when your table is ready but shouts out the names anyway. Whatever works!

We were the only ones there at the time. The staff did not seem to want to be there and after my sister and I ordered, one of the two employees just went on break. So it took a fair amount of time to get our food. Staff wasn't rude but definitely didn't go out of their way to be friendly. The food: The waffle bites, Nutella crepe, and fruit salad were all tasty! Note: the longer you wait to eat, the chocolate solidifies! By the end we were just scraping the chocolate off the plates. The chocolate was very tasty!! The prices are a bit ridiculous in my opinion. It's delicious no doubt. But the service needs an upgrade and the prices need to be dropped a little.

It was also smothered in sauce. Lots of sugar, so I'm glad we shared one and so is my wallet. It did come with fruit more than I expected based on the listing on the menu. It was a pretty good size so that was good but I got to say spending $20 on a single crêpe felt way overpriced. I was expecting somewhere in the $12-$13 range. I would definitely say it's overpriced. The interior was pretty nice and clean self service as far as putting away your own tray and garbage which is no big deal. There was a couch seating area, which is pretty nice and then then the other side was more like diner tables so kind of a weird vibe inside. I don't do this often but honestly, I can't say I would recommend this place mostly just because of the price.

There is plenty of parking in the mall's lot. There is handicap parking, but it is in front of the next store down. There are a couple of picnic tables outside, as well as a couple tables. The tables are pretty close to the drive-through so if that will annoy you, avoid them. Inside is bright and cheerful, good space with plenty of tables for a crowd. A few of the tables seemed to be a little closer to each other than they needed to be, but they were fine. When we first decided to go here, we thought it was a small, independent store, but it is a franchise. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. There are two all gender bathrooms, cute art, and merch that includes bags of their coffee. My husband had the breakfast burrito and gave it a 7 out of 10. Apparently on the website it said it came with cream cheese, but that is an error because it did come with sour cream. He said it was good, not super fancy. It was cooked in a waffle iron so it was nice and hot. In fact I think everything here is cooked in a waffle iron. He also had a mocha which was very good and chocolatey. I had Nana's cinnamon rolls (also cooked in a waffle iron. They come either with two or with four. They are fairly small so I went with four, which ended up being about one more than I could eat.. They were good. There was a good amount of cinnamon, which is important to me, and the frosting was good. They were sweet, but not overly so. They were not very gooey, but they were good so that didn't matter. I had the "Cha Cha Latte". Which was very good. We will be back.

We opted for two of their signature drinks. They were good, a bit in the sweet side. They seem known for their mini cinnamon rolls which looked good but also very gooey and likely very sweet as well. They did have other breakfast options that looked good. It seemed it was more than a coffee shop but not quite a full meal spot if that makes sense. It's in a strip mall so plenty of parking and they recently put in a small patio which will be good come warmer weather. If I lived closer or am in the area I'd probably try again but likely won't go out of my way for a repeat visit.
