a box of fried fish and fries
Monica G.

Called in to have my food pick up around 3pm, did a little baile ride in the area (so pretty) and got my food. Oh my, the portion is huge. Loved the batter for the fish as it's perfectly seasoned. The fish was very fresh and tender. The vinegar is brilliant! I will only use that when I am having fish and chips again.

Tucked in a small shopping plaza next to The Oracle Inn.

Wed. and Thurs. are Asian food days. I had Korean beef sandwich with fried rice. Very good! Surprising for a small town. Friendly too.

Crazy, ridiculous good. The onion rings are off the chain. Super nice folks. If you are anywhere near Oracle go eat here.

We have been here twice in a few weeks because this is our new favorite Sushi restaurant…read more The restaurant is clean and has a simple style. The staff are very friendly. The amount of sushi you get compared to cost makes it very affordable. The plating is amazing as you can see in the photos. We opted for the combos which come with several pieces of sushi and some come with sashimi as well and rolls. The cuts of sushi were large and fresh. There was wasabi and ginger if you enjoy those. The rolls were creative and delicious. Our favorite was Ni Bistro roll followed by the Emerald. The sushi"wich" was very creative and looked like a sandwich. The Ni Bistro was full of flavor and had a lot of pieces. Overall, we highly recommend this new find on the Northwest side!

Surprisingly bad. I ordered the chicken and pineapple fried rice and a spicy tuna roll…read more Both were the worst I've had. The spicy tuna roll was especially strange - it had no flavor. I didn't know what I was eating. Eventually I could pick up some spiciness, but it was subtle. It was so bland and mushy, I wasn't even sure I was eating tuna. At one point I pulled a piece of the roll apart to take a closer look. I couldn't tell if it was tuna or not - I assume they use some kind of filler ingredients in addition to tuna (maybe that's normal for spicy tuna rolls, but they normally taste much better than this). The fried rice was the worst I've had, though still edible. The pineapple was strange in that it didn't taste like pineapple - I guess it wasn't ripe yet. So no pineapple flavor in the pineapple fried rice. Beyond that, the dish was bland. The unfortunate reality is that Tucson has low standards for Asian food, and shockingly bad places can stick around for years. Some of you remember Yokohama Rice Bowl, a local fast food chain, which was awful, and immediately displaced when Panda Express arrived, which is 10x better... It's too bad that Ni's isn't trying to do something great.

After probably more than a dozen meals there, I've never been disappointed in the quality of the food or the service. It has a "no-nonsense" interior that suits the purpose just fine. I drive 17 miles each way to eat there if I'm not in the area for other reasons. I almost hesitate to recommend the place so it doesn't become popular to the point that seating becomes more of an issue. Smile here.

The dish that used to be my go to was the ginger chicken, but the chicken quality is noticeably less tender, on the stringy side. So I switched to order other dishes like their tofu dishes or an occasional Mongolian meat dish. Again, the meat & sauce similarities (hard to tell them apart) are noticeable. It's still a decent place for a fast meal or easy takeout but I find myself looking elsewhere for Chinese food. Their fried rice was always basic, but now it's like it got hit with some soy sauce & little else Prices have gotten a bit higher (like they do :) though they're still cheaper than many) but quality has gone down a notch or more. Not saying I'll never be back, but it's not on my bi weekly dont wanna cook lets eat out rotation. Oh well.

They were both not too rich was awesome and they are able to make substitutions or exclusions if you ask. They have chili oil and all the yummy enhancements at the tables. The service was spotty. The layout makes it unclear if you order at the front or if you wait at your table. It is also unclear where to sit and if they will come check on you besides when they bring out the food. The ambiance had nothing special. It was a comfortable restaurant but there was no special music, anything special about the menus, tables, etc. Great little place to run in for a bite.

If New Asian Fusion could be described in one word, it would be: Solid!…read more New Asian Fusion is a hole in the wall joint, that isn't crazy on the interior. It screams local instead of chain, differing itself from an all too familiar sting of the Gilbert area. Place is clean, staff is nice from the small interaction I had with them. Now the food...I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein to go mind you. In less than 10 minutes I was out the door with a steaming hot container of fresh chow mein. The taste was good, not overbearing like some chow mein places, also not bland. The star of the show are the noodles, thick, meaty, and bearers of flavor. Overall I give New Asian Fusion a 4/5. Prices are fair, food is good and filling, staff is cool as well!
