I had this worker named Rylan and he was the kindest and most helpful worker I've ever met. Thank you for my food.

This ain't no fancy bistro cafe. Let's get that straight…read more The day we visited there was a live cattle auction happening in the same building which I thought was cool & added to the authentic country charm. If you were wondering, the smell of cows was NOT perceptible even by my extra good sniffer. Probably because of the auction, combined with great reviews - the place was packed with cowboys/girls & farmers along with a mix of other diners. Young, old, hip, not hip, all getting along in there. Wait staff was busy as could be, but kindly took our order & served our dishes while they were still piping hot which is a pet peeve when it's not. Menu had gluten free and vegetarian options which I didn't expect but did think was smart & I'll def try one of them next time I eat here. Lots of choices for everyone. Prices were the usual for this economy ($15+ person entree, excluding beverage or spendier stuff like steak). The place smelled like a good diner ought to: sizzling fragrance of thick bacon & burgers, scent of fresh coffee, toasted breads & perfectly cooked eggs. I ordered the Breakfast Torta, a SW twist on a bfast sammy - egg, bacon, tomato with gorgeous & plentiful avocado atop a thick smear of housemade refried beans. All packed into the freshest torta bread I've eaten anywhere. My husband had the chicken fried steak breakfast with crispy house potatoes. They serve Pepsi products so hubs had a big glass of chocolate milk (nice sized!) and I had water & a side of fruit. Golly! The portions were generous and whoever is cooking clearly knows what they're doing cause I could taste the love in every bite. (Even the bites of not-my-entree under the guise of needing to review his plate, too!). The chicken fried steak was perfectly seasoned, inside and out and the thickish gravy had a zest to it which really made the dish extra good. I was pleasantly surprised that the home fries were perfectly crisp. Usually it's the side dishes at many cafes that I find a real let down. Not here. Start to finish, everything was dinerliciously great. Five stars for executing country cafe food without cutting corners. Had enough to enjoy some for next days' lunch. It is a down home country cafe & deserves all the stars. Yeehaw!

The food comes out fast. It's just simply delicious and so reasonably priced. I had a cattle crusher. Roast beef, cheese the usual but very fresh tasting and very good. I made it a meal. It is up to you if you want to do so or not. If you just want the main item then that's what you get. If you make it a meal you have a choice of sides. Chips, potato salad, Mac salad and more. A drink is also included be it a soda or a coffee. Either way you are customizing what you get to your liking. Even the coffee. They have the fancy stuff. But if you choose a simple coffee, they have 3 flavored creamers to choose from along with simple cream and sugar. They run daily specials. My companion decided on today's special of an English muffin breakfast. It was an English muffin with a meat patty, Poblano chili, cheese, and a hash brown. It came with coffee as well. We both had a nice meal for just $15. How can one go wrong? Inside there is bar top seating. But they have a beautiful patio with a fountain that creates quite a relaxing atmosphere. You can also get items to go. The employees. Are sweet. Friendly and efficient. If I lived nearby I think I'd come frequently. Menu specials change daily. You can always build your own breakfast or sandwich from the list and they will make it for you.

This is my favorite Baggin's location! It is conveniently located right off the I-10 (Cortaro Road…read moreexit), so it is a great place to stop for lunch either on the way in or out of Tucson. The manager at this location is so welcoming! He is always there at lunchtime with free cookies for all who walk in the door. The chocolate chip cookies that he hands out (and that also come with your sandwich) are freshly made daily. They are wonderful! My go-to sandwich is the tuna sandwich. I typically get it on a sub roll, served with a side of the honey mustard for dipping. The honey mustard costs a bit extra, but it's so delicious! Some of my other go-to favorites are the cinnamon spiced iced tea (they also have regular unsweetened iced tea for those that do not like the cinnamon spice) and the brownie. Sometimes I will get the brownie to go and eat it on the car ride back to Phoenix.

It came with a cookie, not really wanting a cookie, so, not sure what part of the $15 that was for. The sourdough was a smallish loaf slice, the filling (chicken bacon tarragon) was skimpy & there was almost no avocado in sight. My pictures tell the story of what felt like not a good value. Won't be coming back as this is my 3rd or 4th visit over the years and the value proposition keeps getting worse. Either make your sandwich larger, or your price smaller. I was on the phone with my daughter who lives in trendy part of NYC & when she heard was I ordered and saw the pic, she was shocked (not in a good way). Not sure why every business thinks their food is worthy of $20 lunch per person when I can go to other restaurants within a stone's throw & not leave hungry for the same or less. Service: 2 stars. You stand in line, they call your name when it's ready. Ambiance: 3 stars. It's okay. Clean & tidy. Food: If I'm being generous, 3 stars. Value: 2 stars TLDR: Arizona small chain with kinda high prices for what you get. Not awful, just not worth it.

It's mostly a sports bar with some seating on the side. The draw here is definitely to watch sports and to drink. Service was good though. The bartender happened to be doubling as our waitress but she still managed to keep up with everything. I ordered the patty melt with onion rings and a strawberry lemonade. The lemonade was not on the menu but the bartender was able to make one. It was delicious. The same can't really be said for the patty melt. It was really dry and had too much bread with a small little patty in the middle. I tore away most of the bread to just eat the patty. The onion rings, though, we very good. All in all of you're a fan of sports and want to hang and have a drink or some bar food this is your place. It is not really suitable for much else as it can get very noisy on game days.
