I first learned of this place when I used to take my olives to be pressed during their community press in October. They have stainless steel oil dispensers you can pour into a plastic cup to sample. The olive oil here is so exceptional, we moved from here to the other side of the country and still buy olive oil and have it shipped to us once in awhile. It is that good. A side from that, friendly staff who is very knowledgeable about all things olive oil. They seem to love answering all questions asked. Burbon balsamic is a must to try. read more

I ended up getting the balsamic bonanza set ($55) because I think people underestimate adding acidity to cooking. I recommend this place if you're searching for a hostess gift/souvenir. I went in looking for olive wood charcuterie or cutting boards and ended up tasting olive oils. If I was more committed to making my own vinaigrettes for salads, I would invest in trying the variety of infused olive oils. My favorite vinegar was the fig, but it only comes in a large bottle. read more

I was first introduced to The Olive Press at their Sonoma location. I really enjoyed their olive oils and their balsamic vinegars. So when I visited this location, I knew I wanted to get something. I love that they have so many different flavors of olive oils and balsamic vinegars! It's great that you can sample all the flavors! There are so many great flavors that it's hard to narrow down which one(s) to buy or not to buy. I decided to just buy three bottles of balsamic vinegars. read more

I attended an olive oil tasting class. Didn't realize there were so many variations of olive oils. The staff in the olive oil side was very pleasant. I had to wait a bit for my uber in the wine tasting side and it was definitely a different experience. I overheard a gentleman offer free wine to many patrons but never once to me. He can tell I purchased quite a bit in the store as I had a huge bag. I was the only black person there my whole two hours in the establishment but I truly hope that's not why I was ignored. I would have loved to fast their wine, too. read more

The shop is located in the Oxbow public market. It's the only stall that sells olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It's very neat and organized. They press their own olives once a year and are locally grown. And they had a huge variety of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I love that they have samples that you can pump and try before you buy. The sales lady was very nice and knowledgeable in all the different varieties. They have sets that are great gifts or souvenirs. They have sets already made or you can customize on your own. I loved the fact that you literally can buy all sizes and amounts. They even sell them by the ounce. It's nice because you can get some bread at the market and enjoy some balsamic and olive oil right there! They have such a meat flavors. And all of them you are able to taste. It's very tasty, We had to buy some to take home. read more

Stopped by The Olive Press and picked up the mango flavor! I tried a few of their flavors and being a mango lover and tasted it... I ended up purchasing the bottle! Very delicious and not over powering at all. I plan to use it for a salad dressing or make a sauce with it to dip my fresh spring rolls in. There were so many cool pieces to purchase for the kitchen and cook books- love it! The service was friendly. You'll have to try all their flavors! read more

Stopped by The Olive Press and grabbed a bottle of their mango infused olive oil. It's amazing. Super smooth with just the right pop of flavor. I've already used it on salads, in a quick stir-fry, and even drizzled a little on fresh bread. The shop itself is really nice, with tons of unique oils and balsamics to taste, and the staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy. If you're into great olive oil or just want to try something different, give this place a try. Hopefully i can make an order for other flavors online. read more

Cute little shoppe in the Oxbow Public Market! They had a massive taste-testing station on the side that caught me eye. Staff are most friendly and quite passionate about the oil pressery, giving some helpful context and suggestions for what we were tasting. I wasn't aware we had such a notable olive oil producer so nearby and my introduction to it is long overdue. Quality of the product speaks for itself, just drop by to try some if you're skeptical! Aside from all the olive oil aromas floating about, they also have plenty of high quality balsamic vinegars as well (not to mention a set of tastings available for them too!). We ended up getting multiple bottles to stock up, since we're not in the Napa area too often, but we already finished a blueberry vinegar bottle so we might need some more soon! read more

I got to experience firsthand why The Olive Press is the most award winning artisan olive oil maker in the United States ! We stopped in on a busy Saturday afternoon and had the best time test tasting . The 2 ladies working were very friendly and extra helpful and assisted us in making the perfect selections ! After tasting so many perfect oils and insanely delicious vinegars we finally decided on the mild Sevillano EVOO and the white champagne balsamic vinegar . After we paid and started to leave we found a couple things we needed so we headed back to the register . There was probably 20 + bottles out for sampling and it smelled Amazing in there ! Make sure you stop in the next time you're in Napa - plenty of parking and great customer service ! read more

Huge fan of The Olive Press! Infact we have been here many times! The garlic olive oil is a must and a staple in our pantry. Coconut balsamic is great for making coconut shrimp or coconut rice! Cucumber balsamic is the perfect vinegar to use for salad dressings. Last time I got a bourbon balsamic and I think it will taste great on BBQ pineapple! There are so many flavors to choose from and we are still exploring new flavors! read more

They have unique, exclusive flavors of vinegar that are fabulous. We got the Blackberry and it's awesome on salad.

Cute little shop within Oxbow public market with all kinds of Italian goodies! From the olive wood bowls, serving utensils, spoons ... you get the picture to amazing Italian table clothes and napkins...yes they are beautiful and functional! Great spot for a little gift and they have Olive Oils, both regular and flavored blends. Also a vast selection of amazing balsamics was well. What I really love is their little recipe cards for all their oils and vinegars. The cards provide you with an idea for the use of their products but they are so beautifully done and inspiring! Also the staff here is knowledgeable and helpful! Great spot for shoppers!! read more

So many flavor samples and they are all so good. Staff was friendly and we ended up with a pomegranate balsamic vinegar. Delicious. They have tons of other cool products and sell organic soaps too. Made a stop to Oxbow and found this gem! I heard of this place, but for a taste tour, and this was probably just as good as a tour, and Vicky was extremely informative. She served us all the different balsamic vinegars and olive oils! $200 later (lol). I left a happy woman, and I can't wait to use my purchases in my culinary dishes! Yum! Why 4 stars and not 5? Well, if I could give them 4.5 stars, I would. I rarely give 5 stars, but it was close. read more

I purchased a bottle of the Italian Blend olive oil for a birthday gift. The flavor was bitter and too robust for the recipient so, I told them I would exchange for something lighter. I went in with the bottle and receipt but the woman at the counter refused the even exchange. We went to the location attached to the winery a couple of weeks ago. I intended to just walk around but I was immediately greeted by a super friendly staff member who walked me through how to sample the oils and vinegars. It was a great experience and now I want to try one of their tasting classes even though I live in Texas. I did end up buying the Lavender Body oil which has instantly become my most favorite thing ever. It's not too oily, it softens the skin, and it smells divine. All around excellent experience. read more

Normally I don't fall for the adorable olive-oil vendor ploy, but I'm pretty sure this time I've found the real deal. Free tastings of their oils and balsamic vinegars make it pretty easy to eke out what's great from what's just shmeh. Their hand lotions and oils also smell pretty nice, but I was all about the grubs on this trip. Best olive oil: Jalepeno - tastes just like the real deal. Once I decide what I can do with this beyond just pouring it into my mouth, I'm sold. Best balsamic vinegar: Strawberry - sweet, subtle...this is going to kick ass with some cheese, toasts, and a glass of wine. Left with a decent-sized bottle of vinegar for only $15, and can already tell that it'll be hard to stay away from this place. Check em' out. read more

This place is adorable. The two lovely women that work there could sell a drowning man a glass of water. We were fresh off the wine train and the next thing we knew we were on an olive oil subscription service and had purchased one of everything in their store. Love it and enter at your own risk. read more

The product is good. The service at Oxbow market is not. The staff noticeably do not help people of color on multiple visits here. They do not greet us, completely ignore, no interest in helping just will take your money if you bring a bottle to counter. Zero warmth. Not even a simple hello and thank you for stopping in. Cooking is universal and we all have it in common. Why would you not want to tell us about your products or make suggestions or offer your sample? I have visited Sonoma shop a few times and we never experienced this. Oxbow market is more conveniently located so that past few times I have been coming here to pick up aged balsamic vinegar and olive oil, but I'm not sure I'll be coming back. I have tried several of their products over the years and enjoyed and a friend had even sent me a box set during Covid which was so fun. The staff at oxbow market really left a lot to be desired in service. read more

I upped a star for them as they did make it right by sending me another one. Would have liked some sort of heads up but at least they rectified it. They may not have the best communication but their olive oil and vinegars are very good. read more

Seemed like a lower quality base product and specialises in added-flavour novelty products (for example, a fig balsamic vs. a high quality aged balsamic). I got a cute kitchen towel and chapstick here. To avoid lugging things around, check them out online, the minimum purchase isn't terribly large to get free shipping. Woman at checkout was friendly. read more

STEPH JUDGEMENT: More variety of olive oil than you could ever imagine existed. So many different kinds of olive oil, it was quite dizzying. All kinds of herbal infusions and flavors, and some balsamic vinegar and other accompaniments as well. They have lots you can sample so don't be shy! The stuff ain't cheap but it's really great quality--great place for gifts. read more

For locals, every Tuesday is local's day where you can bring in your bottles, (we use Johnnie Walker Double Black bottles), and buy bulk oil for less than 1/2 price. We go about every 3 months and fill up four bottles. Great little shop, very friendly people, plenty of places to eat while you wait for your bottles to be filled. Great day out. read more

Worthy of a look around while exploring Oxbow Market - they have so many samples! From olive oil to balsamic vinegar, they let you sample almost every flavor so you have more confidence in your purchase. At the same time, it makes it difficult to figure out what to purchase. You can sample with some pieces of bread, or just taste the olive oil and vinegar on their own. I ended up buying a small bottle of chocolate balsamic vinegar, since it's rare for me to see one that tastes so good. I highly recommend the fig balsamic as well - fig balsamic is pretty common though (which is why I didn't buy it), but it always tastes really good! Fun stop in Oxbow. read more

Cute selection of oil accessories. If you are local you get a discount. They also refill empty bottles at a very fair rate. The fig balsamic on a portobello mushroom with garlic is bomb! read more

While the Napa Valley is famous for its wines, the Olive Press offers something different- olive oil and various flavored vinegars. It's a fun little spot, you can taste all different flavors, compare olive types, they have an olive oil for every occasion. They have tons of free samples on tap. They're sandwiched between the very hectic C Casa, Ritual Coffee, and Live Fire Pizza. It's comparatively small, tho their friendly service compensates for their lack of space. They've carried cookbooks, but not sure if they're still able to. An oasis of relative peace&quiet in the bustling Oxbow Market. read more

I had never been to the Oxbow Market and I'm SO glad I finally got a chance to visit. Once inside I was overwhelmed by the cool and varied shops. Everything from spices to whisky to cupcakes to oysters but my favorite shop by FAR was The Olive Press. I love a good oil and balsamic and was quite impressed by their selections! You can purchase the bottled oils and balsamics OR you can purchase one of their very inexpensive bottles and have them filled. I will say, we chose several different sized bottles and chose an incredible Fig Balsamic (you MUST try this), a White Balsamic and a Blood Orange Olive Oil. Stickers are placed on each bottle accordingly so nothing gets mixed up! The shop has a great tasting variety and PLENTY of dipping bowls etc., to make anyone happy! I will definitely go back and refil my current bottles and eventually get some more! read more

I really like the olive oil here & did ended up ordering some from their main store in Sonoma because the Oxbow location in Napa does not do curbside pick up which I feel does not take into account local Napan's who would love to buy their products but because of being immune compromised, cannot go into the oxbow. I drive by so many times & notice the large amount of crowds there with no masks. I don't think it's customer friendly to have to pay almost 20 bucks for shipping from Sonoma when I could easily do curbside pick up & pay online for a no contact purchase. Disappointing. :( read more

They have a nice selection of olive oil and vinegar. It you're a friend of the Oxbow Market (it cost nothing to become one) there are discounts on many of their products, The best way to purchase oils and vinegar is by the ounce, either bring your own bottle or buy one of their bottles. read more

Im always down for trying new olive oils that I've not had. Whether from a different country or a different region in a country. Been meaning to hit the store in Sonoma for a while but this smaller outpost in Oxbow is a good start. Im usually not into flavored or mixed oils so I lean towards the simple pure straight presses. Arnequina extra virgin is a great de facto and is always solid here. read more

The Olive Press - The Oxbow Market The Vendor is located in the Oxbow Market with a parking lot with ample parking spaces. There are several different vendors; Tea tasting, Cheese Tasting, Chocolate Tasting...and Etc. I love going to the Oxbow market and explore. This particular trip I went Olive Oil and Vinegar tasting at a vendor by the name of "The Olive Press". They had numerous choices for both olive oil and vinegars. If I tasted them all I would have spent the whole day there. The employees are quick to have you start sampling and they know their stuff. They can tell you all about an oil and its different flavors as well as where it was grown. So I really liked an olive oil and wanted to buy it immediately. Then I tasted a Black Cherry Vinegar and I wanted that one too. The lady who was helping said she didn't think I would like the combination and seemed to be sincere. Boy was she right what a terrible flavor. So she paired an olive oil to the Black Cherry I was set on and made a perfect combination. She did not pressure me to buy anything and encouraged me to keep tasting away. I came away with the Black Cherry Vinegar; and have since mixed it with a very light Extra Virgin Olive Oil that lets the Vinegar shine but not be overpowered. Again, the Oxbow Market comes through with another vendor that has highly knowledgeable staff and high quality products. read more

I love their mango balsamic and clementine olive oil. I was so bummed I couldn't buy more because I was traveling and had liquid limitations. Try the samples...figure out what you like. The quality is great and the flavors are unreal. YUM! read more

Still love this place. Customer service is tops while in the store and email. Still ordering my favs and have recommended this place to home chefs or adventurous home cooks. Favorite place at Oxbow Marketplace. They are super knowledgeable and friendly. You can sample all of their olive oil and balsamic vinegars and they won't even give you any snide remarks. What I like about this shop is their bulk olive oils and balsamic vinegar. It is cheaper than their Sonoma shop and they have offer more variety. Tips: - bring your own clean, capped, glass bottle. (Save $2) - Go on a Tuesday to take advantage of 15% off - Become a "Friend of Oxbow" and take additional discounts! - Favorite flavors: italian blend olive oil, fig balsamic vinegar, and strawberry balsamic vinegar. This place is awesome!! All natural, local olive oil, balsamics, & olives that all taste great! You can even do a complimentary "flight" of olive oils and/or flavored olive oils and/or dipping oils. Just grab a toothpick, stick a piece of bread, and you're off! :) I highly recommend asking whoever is behind the counter about some good combinations of flavors because they'll start mixing stuff up for you that will taste amazing. Those who say the prices are "outrageous" are probably not familiar with the saying, "You get what you pay for." Olive oil from the Olive Press is FAR better than any oil that you'll find in the grocery store, and on top of that, it's local! My personal favs: Arbequina, Limonato, Blood Orange, & the smoked olive oil. Oh, and OMG, peach balsamic?! An absolute must-try, it's amazing. read more
