It came with green beans and pasta topped with a fresh, bright red sauce that really tied the dish together. Overall, it was a light, refreshing meal that was full of flavor. Considering it was halibut, I thought the value was excellent. My meal was $39, which felt very reasonably priced for the quality and portion. Since I was traveling for work, I sat at the bar and had a great experience. The atmosphere was incredibly charming and cozy--it felt like having dinner at your grandma's house in the best possible way. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

Both my self and my wife have spent extensive time in Italy and know Italian quarantine very well. So we were quite interested in trying this location based on many of the reviews a the menu. This is my verdict. I ordered the LASAGNA DELLA CASA, and the Tiramisu for the desert. First the lasagna, I read the Yelp reviews on this establishment prior to ordering. For the most part the reviews were good. I read two reviews that claimed that the sauce is canned. After tasting the sauce I can guarantee that those who are claiming that the sauce is canned clearly have a pallet that is fit for judging can dog or cat food. When it comes to real cuisine they have no clue of what they are talking about. I can guarantee the sauce is hand made. Even with it being take out I can tell you that. The lasagna was very good. The sauce was outstanding, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the Italian sausage is amazing. It has a perfectly balanced flavor with a wonderful flavor of fennel, not over powering yet its presences was very enjoyable. Overall for take out I was impressed. I will definitely be returning to this location to try this dish again in a dine in experience. Now for the Tiramisu. I have eaten this dessert in Italy at some very high end restaurants. As far as the Tiramisu at Beppe & Gianni's, it is on par with the best that I have eaten in some of the best Italian restaurants in and throughout Italy. And absolute symphony of wonderfulness. Let me remind you this was a take out order, that being said I am looking forward to returning to this location for the sit down experience. When I do that, I will take photographs of the cuisine and post them. It is not fair to an establishment to take pictures of takeout. When I went into the Restaurant to pick it up, I saw the plating and it was outstanding. The takeout box just doesn't do it justice. I highly recommend this location.

The waitstaff were very prompt and very friendly. The food was delicious! I had the special which was sausage stuffed wheat ravioli in a rich cheesy cream sauce. My daughter had the Cajun shrimp fettuccine which was very good, but we didn't like that the shrimp tails were left on. (That seems to be the norm in some eateries) My wife had the bolognese fettuccine which also was delicious. For dessert we split the apple crisp cheese cake....yumm! You can also order their wheat based pasta to take and cook at home. The prices were about right for these days but we would definitely eat here again!

Staff was very nice when interacting, although interaction was minimal due to QR code ordering. I personally don't read Italian, but the descriptions on each of the food items and the wines were really great and made choosing what to order easy! Everything was super good, but my favorites were the meatballs and the Supli (tomato risotto ball). The wine selection was also very good and I ended up leaving with a very nice bottle because it was so delicious! We loved sitting outside, but definitely want to try sitting inside next time. It was a little too warm inside for us this time but the vibes seem so cool! We look forward to the next time!

Some places try to impress you. Not outdated it's dialed. No gimmicks, no nonsense just consistency that hits every single time. Now let me get this straight the calzones here? Hands down, some of the best I've ever had. Packed right, cooked right, everything balanced the way it should be. This isn't some rushed, thrown-together side item this is the kind of dish that makes you stop mid-bite and go, "Yeah... this is why this place is still around." I'll be honest, I read a few reviews beforehand and thought, "Did something change?" Nope. Walked in and it was exactly what I hoped for. Same classic feel, same solid food, same dependable experience. That's the beauty of Mozzi's it doesn't chase trends, it outlasts them. Value? Strong. Ambiance? Classic, comfortable, no-frills in the best way. Service? Locked in. Friendly, efficient, and they know what they're doing. This is the kind of place families grow up on. Team dinners, birthdays, random weeknights that turn into memories it's all baked into the walls. You don't stay in business this long without doing something very right. So let me make this real simple: If you're looking for an Italian restaurant in Eugene this is the place. Don't overthink it. Just go.

Tonight there was a bit of a wait because of the UO game, but there was seating inside so we didn't mind. Our table was freshly cleaned and set when we were seated. Our server checked in with us quickly and gave us plenty of time with the menu. I ordered the chicken fettuccini Alfredo with garlic bread and my partner got capellini pomodoro with a cup of the soup of the day. We also got an order of the fried mozzarella. All of the food was great! The fried mozzarella was crispy and tasty, not too oily or salty. The garlic bread was crunchy and delicious. My pasta was overcooked and almost mushy this time, but last time it was perfectly cooked so I'm willing to chalk it up to them being super busy tonight. Maybe they just lost track of time since they had so many orders coming in at once. My partner enjoyed his soup and pasta and said they paired together well. Our server was super friendly and attentive. She checked in on us frequently and made sure we were taken care of. A few other servers checked in with us too, it seemed like they genuinely wanted to make sure we were enjoying our night. Pastini is a great spot to get some good, affordable pasta! It's cozy and great both for dates and casual meals with friends. I look forward to coming back again!

Every dish is better than the next. A few of my favorites are RIGATONI WITH MEAT SAUCE BOLOGNESE, rich beef and pork ragu, red wine, and parmesan cheese, SPAGHETTI AGLIO E OLIO, A simple classic with sautéed garlic, olive oil, fresh basil, chili flakes, and parmesan cheese, and LINGUINE MISTO MARE Shrimp, white fish with lemon, butter, garlic, white wine, and parmesan cheese. We'll come back to the carrot cake in a minute. We were in for a culinary delight and hopefully so will you. We ordered an antipasto appetizer that had a variety of tasty morsels with a loving presentation-heart carafes held both olives, mozzarella spheres. Next served was a warm artisan loaf that was accompanied by a garlic, olive oil, and roasted red pepper infused dipping sauce. Yum! We shared a goat cheese, ginger coated spinach beet salad, both healthy and delicious. Our entrees were timed perfectly as our server took such excellent care of us, paired with the charming ambience and local art-our date night was transported beyond the confines of a Dari mart parking lot. The scallops were plated similar to a five star restaurant and with the flavors to match. The namesake dish had a unique mild, spicy Italian sauce twist that had us wishing for another loaf to sop it up; a spoon sufficed. Back to the carrot cake-made in house by the owner-a double decker delight with a macron frosting-best carrot cake I've ever had and let me remind you how we chose this restaurant. I've been around the block with multiple carrot cakes. To add to our seemingly never ending meal, we would have preferred they lock us in and eat for a living there, we ordered the dark chocolate mousse. Our camera did not stand a chance in capturing the dessert in all its splendor...we included a photo of the empty results. Finally, for the excellent service, amazing food, warm ambience and creative cooking...we thought when the bill came that we'd be living on spaghetti a sauce for the next month. However, we stared dumbfounded at the bill-surely the sever forgot to input something...she did apologize that she forgot to add the two $10 desserts. I've included a picture of the bill, Nowadays, that total gets me some drinks and a couple appetizers. I will be driving the nearly three hours to dine again, even if I forced to get takeout. This place is special! And would worthy of your special events too. Mangia! Oh...one more thing, the amazingly fragrant aroma of yumminess as I opened the door to enter and as I sat down at our table was pleasantly unforgettable. I hope to see you there! Enjoy.

It was a full house by the end but there were only a couple tables ahead of us. The waitress checked in on us very rarely, but it was a full house and she was the lone waitress. Not sure if she was good and busy or inexperienced and not so busy. I got the cioppino expecting a seafood soup. They brought me stuff as if it were a crab boil. And there was crab. It reminds me of those places where they put sliders on bloody marries. It's a lot. I leave it to you if that's a good or bad thing. But if you get it prepare to eat with your hands.

The restaurant was very cute, service was great. Food was very good. However, my lasagna was 1.5" x 4". I guess I got the mini/kids size lasagna. My son got the pepperoni pizza and he liked it. Pizza is pizza, it was good. his roommate got the chicken fettuccine. His portion was very generous and he loved it. We all enjoyed it and I would definitely go here again but not park in their parking lot.

Growing up in Eugene this was one of the fancy restaurants, and for that reason I never went here…read morewith my family. So I've only been here a couple times, but it is one of those long-time Eugene spots that has endured for decades. The food is--generally--good. I had a pasta dish, the fennel and sausage rigatoni. It was not too strong on the fennel, which I was worried about since that can be such an overpowering flavor. The sausage, however, was really burnt and dry around the edges. Like someone forgot to check the pan or something. (And maybe they did; it was a strange night, as I'll explain further in a moment.) My sister and I exchanged tastes, and her pasta al limone was very good. The little one had buttered noodles, which she enjoyed. They've added some fun mocktails to their menu, so I got the Vestito Rosso for my daughter and myself and she was quite pleased to have a fancy drink. The night was a weird one. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or someone called in sick, but the kitchen was really backed up. Our server, Felicia, was friendly and very helpful, but our entrees took over an hour--maybe up to an hour and a half--to arrive. That seems long, even for a party of 7. The rather simple appetizers (the rosemary bread, and some other thing I didn't eat--maybe the steamed mussels) were about 20 minutes. The restaurant wasn't packed, and at least two of the other tables left without ordering entrees. And that was just in the portion of the restaurant we were in, all the way in the back room! Since we'd been there so long, we didn't do much for dessert. My sister is tiramisu's #1 fan, so she ordered a piece to go. I'd have loved to try the creme brûlée and have a glass of port but it was too late to consider that. The restaurant does not have any dedicated parking. The lot to the east of the building is NOT free, so make sure you pay unless you want to press your luck. There's street parking along Broadway, free.

Probably the best pizza place in town…read more Came here twice, once on a Friday evening and another during weekday midday. Weekends and evenings are hectic, the place is packed and our wait was around 35 minutes. On weekday midday we were seated and served right away. Servers are very accomodating and attentive. Our food came out relatively fast both times, within 15-20 mins of ordering for multiple dishes. The basic marinara pizza is surpsingly very good and is our favorite so far. The thin crust is cooked perfectly with a satisfying bite, and the marinara with garlic/oregano/olio verde/pecorino was simple yet delicious. All pizzas come with chili flakes and parmesean to add to your liking. The pepperoni and Il Tuffo were great too. The menu has a variety of pizzas with yummy sounding topping combos that keep you wanting to come back and try them all. The location is clean and lively, with a lot of varied seating indoor and out. And, it's tradition to grab icecream next door, which is a good use of time during longer waits. For the price and the quality, the pizzas are definitely worth coming for.

I won't bore you with details on crust (thinnish with a nice chew) or toppings (interesting varieties and well and evenly dispersed, nothing clumped in one area) and the friendly staff, etc. Nope, I would not have been there numerous times over the last handful of years and recommend it to most everyone I know. So why just the three-star rating? Lemme tell you about a pet peeve of mine: automatic gratuities. Tips added on to the total without any indication to the patron. Don't get me wrong-- I completely understand for larger parties, like six or more. I've spent months/years as a waiter so I understand the frustration of working hard to please a table only to get a 10% tip. As a now-former waiter, I try to tip generously. What I don't understand or expect is an automatic gratuity for small group, especially when I am a solo diner. Just me. Party of one. With minimal indication on the bill as to the added tip. After my last time at H-N-I-P I got the check, added on my own tip and paid. Then I pondered on the total. It seems funky -- why is it more than just the pizza and salad I ate... there's no tax in Oregon... Whuh? I look more closely at the bill and see that they already added on a tip...? I guess they just got a nearly 50% tip from me. Which might be the last tip because it's seriously irritating. In time I'll probably have a pizza craving that only they can fill, and go back. I'll look more closely at the menu to see if and where the automatic gratuity is mentioned. Enjoy the pizza. Beware the automatic gratuity.
