It was a Scottish pub feel with amazing food. People broke out singing and we made lifelong friends!

Incredible fish and chips. Of the 5-6 times I had it while in Scotland, this was by far the best. Keep it up!

Super tasty, very quaint restaurant, fast service. Have to pay at the bar and awkward splitting the check but best meal of the week in Scotland.

Their kitchen was just about closed, and a lot of food was already sold out completely. They managed to prepare some sandwiches for us, which was really kind as we were starving and everything else was closed. It was the perfect end to a rainy and chilly drive in the dark evening. We returned the following day for a proper dinner. This time we had a delicious meal, with good ale, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious. I think the atmosphere of this warm inn amidst the wild and roaring space deserves some merit as well. The establishment itself has this cozy, communal, and quite bustling atmosphere, which everyone seems to gravitate to in such a mystical and sleepy place. Outside, there's this beautiful, ancient, raw nature, that's so dormant and old, that feels so past civilization and humans, and then you enter this place and reacquaint yourself with people and interaction once again, in a communal, close-knit space. I loved it. I'd really recommend for anyone to just visit the area, walk around, feel its old, natural, and magnificent power, and then stop for a delicious and hearty meal here after. You definitely won't regret it. Try to get there not too late, however, or you might end up with no meal like we almost did!

They had plenty of tables open but probably short on staff. The venison was cooked perfectly and the presentation was very well done. The food and flavors are from the Highlands and Skye and I loved their placement, its a map of Skye and some of the food produced in that region. The chef is a young man and I saw him coming out of the the busy kitchen a couple times to take a break. He shook my hand when he asked what Whisky I was drinking and I told him a Gelnfidditch 18. The two problems with the restaurant were they had the heat turned on very high, it was uncomfortably hot and I would honestly rather have been cold. The other problem was they were very short staffed so the meal started out great but our server was invisible toward the end and we sat around for 20 minutes trying to see him so we could leave. Haggis + Paneer Pakora: Great Haggis fusion dish, felt traditional and yet paid homage to some of the new cultures that make up the UK. Slow Braised Lamb Shank: Rosemary Infused Mashed Potato and Roasted Root Vegetable. Very tender and delicious, our whole family shared this even though it started off as just my wifes dinner. Sole Veronique: Potatoes, spinach, and a cream sauce. Tasted OK but I thought the sauce was too heavy for the light fish it was on. If you go across the street from the restaurant and look down you can see the iconic row of different colored houses that a lot of people were taking pictures of.
