This is a lovely lakeside restaurant and bar. To get there, you must go on a single track road over two narrow stone bridges for three miles. It was a challenge for me since my night vision is not as great as it was when I was 20.
The restaurant has a real Scottish vibe to it. There was a large group at the bar and nearly every table was taken by diners. Our waitress was very good and provided excellent service. I had a glass of beer and my wife had a glass of wine. It was raining but the view of the lake at dusk was quite nice,
We both ordered the smoked haddock lasagna from the specials menu. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes and included a small salad and two pieces of bread. I though my meal was excellent. It came hot and you could really taste the smoked haddock. My wife thought it had excellent flavor but would have liked more haddock. Still, she said the taste was very good. We hurried out because I was very concerned about negotiating the single track road and narrow bridges at night in the rain. We took it easy and made it back with no issues. read more
