Been meaning to try this place for a while. We rocked up to the Bistro restaurant and were shown to our table immediately despite being 15 minutes early. An excellent menu and wine list (all Italian) greeted us. I had mussels for starter which were both plentiful and delicious whilst my other half had scallops which were, it has to be said, scant and raw but equally delicious. I had the shellfish fettuccine for main which was 90% mussels again (just as well I love mussels) and was just as good as the starter. My other half had ravioli - which I simply hate - but she enjoyed it. Our wine was a nice Pinot Grigio which was delivered to the table at room temperature so we had to bury it in ice before drinking. Points off. However, I finished off with one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had so there's that. Highly recommended. And the premises are sumptuous, comfortable and welcoming as are the staff. We're going back again in 2 days and looking forward to it !! read more
