Very quaint Vietnamese cafe/resto! I had a very pleasant experience here and would definitely come back. Food: - Tried the Classic and House Special bahn mi (both as a combo which comes with a drink - we opted for the classic viet iced coffees). The bahn mi and coffee were both delicious! I liked that the baguette of the bahn mi wasn't too thick nor too hard - it was a nice consistency that was easy to eat. The coffees were sweet (which is typical) but the sweetness level got to a better level once the ice melted. Ambiance: - Nice! Lots of tables and chairs to sit in, although a little cramped. There's also wifi, plugs, and you can do work here. The tables and chairs are those typical outdoor ikea ones - not the most comfortable but they do the job. The tables are not very compatible for drinks because of the gaps on the surface. This would be the biggest flaw of the place I would say. Service: - Excellent! The staff were very nice and would happily explain anything on the menu you have questions on. We actually ended up accidentally spilling a drink (because of the gaps in the tables). The staff were very nice about the situation - they cleaned up the mess and remade the drink :) Overall a great place! I'd like to come back to try their other drinks, desserts, and even the pho.

Cute little shop tucked in a side street near Bay/Wellesley, I made a visit after work shortly before their closing and dined in before realizing I misread their store hours and they were closing in 7 minutes and not 1 hour. They have outdoor & indoor seating - small wooden picnic-like café tables each seating 2. Would be great to bring a friend or get some work done. Ordered 2 drinks: egg coffee and the peach & kumquat fruit tea. Also ordered the lemongrass beef banh mi & grilled chicken vermicelli. Egg coffee was really good; I've never tried an authentic one, and have only made it in the past. The foam was creamy and light; like whipped cream with an extra nutty flavour. The peach and kumquat fruit tea was also delicious with the kumquat adding a tang that I rarely find in other fruit teas and juices, although it could have been less sweet in my opinion. Lemongrass beef banh mi was for a family member, but they filled it up nicely and didn't skimp on the ingredients. Grilled chicken vermicelli also came in a great portion although I was unfortunately unable to savour it fresh due to the store closing for the day. I spent a total of ~$40, kind of.... expensive... But mostly worth it. Inflation? Poor? Overall, I'd probably return (and not order so many things at once).

Oats Kafe has the single best coffee drink in the city. I'm no purist or coffee sommelier, so I like mine with a lot of stuff mixed in. Enter the Egg Coffee: dark Vietnamese coffee but with a really thick and creamy foam mix of egg yolk and condensed milk. Very unique, super sweet but with a strong coffee taste. Yes please!

I really love this Vietnamese cafe! Hidden just off Bay Street near Wellesley, the cafe serves specialty Vietnamese-style drinks and food, in addition to Western cafe classics. I've tried the white coffee, egg coffee, and flat white. The Egg Coffee has a thick layer of sweet, creamy foam, made with egg yolks and condensed milk, poured over a distinctly strong and chocolatey Vietnamese coffee. I also tried their house special and lemongrass chicken banh mi which is delicious and fresh in their super crispy but pillowy baguette. Staff are really nice and the inside is cute and cozy.

This is as good as it gets. Banh mi and tasty drinks at a reasonable price point. I ordered on Uber Eats and got 2 sandwiches, Salted Egg Cupcake, and Viet Coffee (Bac Xiu). There was a promo going on where you spend I think $20, you get a free Lavender London Fog tea, so I got that for free. What surprised me was that the delivery came packaged really well. I was worried that the drinks would come spilled, but it was packaged to allow 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches to sit securely in the bag. The only casualty was the salted egg yolk cupcake that got squished, not picture-worthy but still tasted great. The drinks are not too sweet. Though I was surprised that the London Fog had some sweetness to it, without requesting it. It seems like if you didn't request the plant milk, the default had regular milk in it. Plus points + Salted Egg Yolk Cupcake - Must-try! Perfect savoury-sweet. I like that they had meat floss on top! + Paper packaging, such a nice touch and more sustainable than plastic packaging in takeout + While the drinks are sweet, it isn't overwhelming. They nailed it perfectly for me.

A cute hidden lil viet café on Phillips street and Wellesley. There's many different coffees to choose from, cakes and pastries, as well as Banh mis. . Viet Iced Coffee 3/5 Bac Xiu (hot) 4.5/5 Lemongrass beef Banh Mi 3.75/5 Grilled chicken Banh Mi (not pictured) 4/5 . I really enjoyed the Bac Xiu. It was my first time trying one and I really loved how creamy it was. The coffee and sweetness level was the perfect balance. The viet iced coffee was too strong for my bf and I. They could've added more sugar and milk to it. *UPDATE: The cafe contacted me and said you can actually customize it and ask for more condensed milk. i'll definitely do this next time! * Both banh mi were really flavourful, though i had two pieces of bone in the chicken. If they add a bit more meat to both banh mi then it'll be perfect.

We stopped in to pick up a few bahn mis and à juice for lunch on a Saturday. The place was packed and the service was slow. It took good 20 min to receive our order and we decided to eat outside as it was too busy inside for me to feel comfortable dining in. The bahn-mis were quite dry and underwhelming with not enough filing for the sandwich. No pâté, no margarine/butter...etc. the meat also lacked flavour and it made for a ho hum first visit. Our fresh carrot, apple and giner juice was the highlight of the order. Probably won't be returning any time soon.

I've been wanting to check out this cafe for quite some time and finally passed by to grab a coffee to go. What I ordered: - Bạc Xỉu (White coffee) My favs: - If you prefer a sweeter and lighter coffee taste, check out the Bạc Xỉu! It is sweetened with condensed milk. I got it hot and on a chilly day it was perfect. Final Thoughts: This cozy cafe is very cute! I was on the go so only tried one drink, but I would return to try their other interesting drinks and snacks. The tables and chairs fit the decor, but don't look like they'd be the comfiest if you were seeking a place to work from all day. Staff were nice and quick with service.

I really like this cute little Kafe. The atmosphere and decor is really inviting. Staff is friendly. I got the bac xui (white coffee) twice and it was nice and frothy and delicious. Their coconut coffee is very enjoyable. It's like latte but with coconut flakes in it. Their almond croissant is very good too. They warm it up so it's extra nice. The salted egg cupcake was interesting. It was more of a light fluffy cake with egg custard, pork floss and fromage on top. It was good and very unique. I've missed out on trying the pandan jelly cake the 2 times I've been there as it's been sold out. I'm glad they have Vietnamese / Asian flavored desserts / sweets. I haven't tried any of their savoury dishes or the banh mi yet. They also have a lot of breakfast options. Definitely recommend trying this place! Edit : I tried their macadamia cookie and sadly it was hard and felt like it was old. I did not really enjoy it but other that that, I really like this place. Will continue coming back for the drinks and other treats.

Finally found a place in Toronto that serves Vietnamese Egg coffee! It tastes like marshmallow coffee. It has a layer of condensed milk, Vietnamese coffee and a special l egg mixture. It's almost dessert like. This place is the cutest little rustic coffee shop ever. They not only serve different kinds of Vietnamese style coffee, but they also have a variety of teas, fresh pressed juices, pastries, different kind of toppings on Oatmeal, Chia seed puddings or Greek Yogurt. They even do a house special Banh Mi, my fave Vietnamese sandwich. Since I can't go to Vietnam...I will just have to come here for a taste of Vietnam instead. I can't wait to come back to try their Lavender London Fog and Avocado toast.

The Oats Kafe is a new Vietnamese coffee shop located near Bay and Wellesley. The cafe is hidden on a side street but once you find it they do offer a wide variety of beverages and food items. They even have egg coffee, something I had yet to see in other coffee shops here in the city. I had tried egg coffee in Hanoi a few years ago in Vietnam and I am glad to see the shop offering it! I stopped by The Oats Kafe on a Tues morning before noon. I ordered a banh mi and a Vietnamese coffee. The Vietnamese coffee was great, not too sweet but strong as always. The banh mi was great too, the bread had the right texture (cripsy and crunchy!) and the meats and pate/sauce they use complimented the other ingredients well. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered. Overall, cute Vietnamese owned cafe with great variety of beverages and food items. Do check them out if you are around the area!

Ever since I tried Vietnamese coffee, I've been hooked and this especially extends to white coffee. So, you could imagine my excitement when I discovered The Oats Kafe and flew myself over at the first opportunity. I ordered the ICED BAC XIU (white coffee), offered in one size only and priced at $3.99 plus tax. I'm a coffee drinker that can enjoy both an unsweetened and sweetener cup. The thing I love about Vietnamese coffee is that despite its sweet nature, their coffee is so aromatic, fragrant, and bold, that it still remains the spotlight of the show. Condensed milk is typically used to make these drinks which also add that rich and smooth texture to the beverage. Absolutely perfect rendition of this classic, just wish there was less ice so that I could enjoy a few more sips of this deliciousness! The decor of this place is very minimalistic which I love. There's quite a lot of seating and despite COVID, there is dine-in allowed. Service is extremely friendly and you could really see their passion when crafting the beverages! Google appears to have different hours than posted on their doors, which is 7 am to 7 pm. Follow me on Instagram @oh.snap.vonny for more food reviews and photos!

had a rare late start to my workday today so went to check out the local coffeeshop! They fit my cafe aesthetic and vibes so perfectly that I knew I had to pay them a visit from the moment I passed them!! They have have many different drinks to offer from the caffeine ones to the non caffeinated types! Their specialty is Vietnamese coffee which makes such a cute drink! They also serve banhmi at a super reasonable price (surprising for downtown tbh). I will say though that for the dark roast coffee lovers, the drinks we ordered today might not suffice as our local black coffee drinker felt they were not bitter enough!

Drinks I tried: Maple Goguma Latte - Slightly nutty, lightly sweet, and super comforting. I added a shot of espresso, which made it perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Dalgona Latte - A really fun drink with great texture. Just make sure to stir it well since the sweetness settles at the bottom. They're known for their creative, seasonal drink menu, and I'm already excited to come back to try what they release next season. Definitely a must-visit if you love cozy cafés, unique drinks, and supporting local artists.

But $12 for a small drink that's mostly ice is a tough sell. Two drinks and a breakfast sandwich came to $36, which stung a little more when we sat down for a full lunch for two people right after for a similar amount. To put it in perspective: a venti matcha latte with milk alternatives at Starbucks run under $8. When did Starbucks become the budget option? The cafe itself is cute and the staff were genuinely friendly, which counts for something. But there weren't any proper tables to actually sit and enjoy your drinks, which felt like a bit of an oversight for a cafe experience. The drinks were fine. Mine had a sparkling milk in it, which was a fun and unique touch. But in terms of taste, nothing really wowed me or made me want to order it again. The breakfast sandwich was a letdown too. Honestly, a McMuffin would've been more satisfying. Cute spot with good energy, but the value just isn't there. Hard to justify coming back when so many other cafes in the city deliver more for less.

Food wise had an espresso, hot chocolate and some cookies. Here was an espresso where you could actually taste all the flavours. Hot chocolate was above average and cookies were alright. Staff was friendly. There is only a little bit of seating. Maybe 20 seats in the whole place. Highlight was the WiFi at 330/30. That's the fastest for any café I've ever tested. I saw a power outlet by my sofa seat so I think they've planned for working in the cafe. Definitely recommended. They've made it into the Toronto cafe list.

Rad coffee shop slash record store on Queen West. My husband and I stopped in out of curiosity…read more(anything that has "records" in it he has to investigate) and ended up staying for a good half hour talking music with the staff and sipping on delicious coffee. I had the flat white and it was fantastic. My husband had just a standard drip coffee and he reported it as quite good as well. They have plenty of seating, from tables and chairs to more lounge type couches and such. Wifi was also really solid, which we appreciated being in from the States (crazy data charges, you know!). Staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great time chatting with them. Great tunes played inside with plenty of fantastic vinyl to choose from to boot.
