I recommend Phillip learn to listen instead talking over the client when the client is voicing their needs. As a young woman of color speaking to an older white male, I felt talked down to in that moment. Like I'm here for a massage, I could be having a Zen, great time. What is going on?? The most concerning comment was said as he was massaging my back. He said that he recommended that I get a female masseuse next time. Because he works on body builders and likes to apply more pressure and that I would probably file a lawsuit against him. And sarcastically laughed.
