After reading my previous review, Tricia got in touch with me and asked me to give her a second…read morechance. After discussing at length what she thought went wrong, she made a plan to use different waxes and to have my hair length be right between 1/4"-1/2". When I went into the spa, I was apprehensive (and a bit annoyed by their parking situation - 1/3 of their parking lot was taken over by the construction being done next door), but Tricia warmly greeted me which put me at ease. She was hugely apologetic and made it a point to explain to me what she had changed about her procedures since reading my review. We went back and the underarm waxing was great. I never thought that I would refer to having hair pulled from a sensitive part of my body as "great", but Tricia was so gentle that I began to doze off while she worked. Afterwards, she carefully examined my skin to make the best after care plan. She noticed a small red patch (that I couldn't see even when I tried to look in the mirror for it) so put on a few soothing lotions. Afterwards, no redness, no skin tears, and even now two weeks later no ingrown hairs. The only reason that I couldn't give her 5* was because of her front desk staff. I had issues with misinformation from them the first time. When I called to try to understand what happened the first waxing, they were less than helpful. Then when I was coming in for the most recent waxing, I asked if they had any suggestions on where to park (due to 1/3 of their lot being taken over by construction) to have them tell me to look around and find a spot. While still on the phone with them a woman came to my car window, didn't introduce herself, and told me to park in the spots marked specifically for the pizza shop. It wasn't until I relayed this to the front desk staff that they informed me that it was the owner yelling at me. I would have no hesitation to go back to Tricia for any waxing services from here on out. ---- Today I had a bikini wax and underarm waxing done by Trish. I have received dozens of waxings before so felt like I knew what I was in for. When I called to schedule the appointment, I scheduled a Brazilian and underarm wax. I asked if there was anything I needed to know or do before my appointment. I was told "Do not shave or Nair or do anything to the areas to be waxed." I began asking if I should trim my hair to a specific length and was cut off and told "Do not cut it. She needs a good length of hair to let the wax adhere." Upon arriving I was notified that Trish doesn't do Brazilians and only does bikini waxing. Not what I wanted but I figured I would make the best of it. While waiting, I overheard the woman on the phone tell a client that the hair should be between 1/4" and 1/2" for waxing. Knowing my hair was longer than that, I addressed the matter first thing with Trish. She informed me that she wasn't allowed to cut/trim the hair down and proceeded to do a test patch on my underarm. She was pleased with how it came off and waxed my bikini line and underarms. While it was more painful than what I am accustomed to, I assumed it was because of the extra hair length. Once she finished she handed me a sample of a product to calm down inflammation. I assumed she did this for everyone. I paid then continued on with my day. When I arrived home 6 hours later, the skin was still painful so I checked it out in the mirror. I have bruising and marks that look like hickeys. If this was going to be the result of waxing hair longer than 1/2", I wish Trish would have informed me.

The moment that I left the spa, I felt a full range in motion on my shoulder and I know it's because she worked her INTENSE magic on me! Definitely worth the price. I never think twice of whether or not I should go back.

I would think they'd would have reached out to me to properly explain or to make good on my service that they should have provided in the first place. For privacy purposes my name has been changed, however, the businesses that I post reviews on can, if needed verify that I did receive service at the date and time. Date and Time of service ; January 2nd, Friday, original appointment was 2:30 then I changed and checked in at 3:30. My massage started at approximately 3:48 Marianne was done and out of the room at 4:36. I booked an appointment with Marianne for what I thought The Remedy - see pic for description of what "The Remedy is supposed to be. I DEFINITELY would NOT waste your money, nor if I was the owner, put that it was OUR signature treatment! What I did get was an hour NOT 75 minutes, it was light to moderate rubbing and pressure with finger on muscles holding for a min then moving on, never a hint of aromatherapy at all, nothing remotely pertaining to the sinuses. The description goes on to say that you will be massaged with lavender and black seed oil, I can't be certain if that was used or not, however every 20-30 seconds she would stop and have to get more lotion on her hands, not once did she touch/massage my face, chest or neck massaged. The sounds that were playing, correction- the sound that was on was one tone for the first 50" minutes the last 10 was a mix of low to high pitch. My ocd/add was all over it ! Awful ! The last 20 minutes was her using the tips of her fingers to press the back of my neck, holding it for at least 2 minutes then moving to the sides pressing against the neck muscles. I feel like a complete fool to just hand $105 dollars for a half @&& rubdown. I did give Marianna a $20.00 dollar tip, that's almost a 20% tip. I figured my review would speak for itself, as she did allow me to come in at a later time than I had previously scheduled, for that she was compensated. I cannot stress how disappointed I am ! Really was hoping for a great treatment ! I actually bought a gift certificate for a friend to Ora !! Uugghh wish I hadn't after this experience. Lastly, as the saying goes.... Looks are deceiving. It's the work they do inside that you want ... who cares how pretty it looks..
