Every bite we had was delicious! We ordered a side of fried okra as our appetizer and asked for some ranch to dip it into, but honestly it didn't need a thing. This was probably the best fried okra I've ever had. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while not being mushy on the inside - the okra was perfectly fresh, tender, and seasoned well. If they do okra this well we were excited for the full meal. And we didn't have to wait long. The food came out really quickly! For our meals we wanted to try a little of everything so we each got a 2 meat meal which comes with two GENEROUS sides and a piece of Texas toast. I can say the pork, chicken, and ribs were are great. Perfectly smoked, ribs falling off the bone, and all the meats well-flavored. The jalapeño smoked sausage was a surprisingly tasty option that is served sliced in half down the middle and lightly grilled. All the sides we enjoyed were perfect. The baked beans were my favorite- smoky, sticky, just the right amount of molasses sweetness with a touch of heat and filled with shredded pork. The coleslaw was also ideal - not too overloaded with mayo but not at all dry either. The potato salad has hard boiled eggs in it just like grandma used to make and the red potatoes were skin on (not like grandma but I love the texture with skin on!). My least favorite was the smoked cabbage, which I'd never had before. It was cooked well with a bit of bite to it still, but the smokiness with the cabbage wasn't my thing - if you like it, you'll love this side. They have four sauces. Their sweet BBQ is in a bottle on the table. I didn't get a photo of the names of them all but they have a sweet heat sauce that is probably a 6 out of 10 on the heat scale - definitely noticeable but not burn your face off hot. They have a mustard-based sauce that's got a nice mustardy vinegar kick to it. And there is a thick, sticky sweet molasses heavy sauce that's is good but that I found too sweet for my palate. You can ask to try all of them and the server will bring them on the side. We had so much food! I took home more than half my plate and it made a whole other meal the next day. For $20 it was a great deal. We were too full for dessert - maybe next time. We'll definitely head in earlier or on a different day of the week to try some of that brisket! And later this year they told us we should be able to enjoy live music. This is a newer spot - open just since September 2025. If you haven't been - get down there and you can decide for yourself if it is indeed the best BBQ in East Tennessee!
