Flaky, buttery, salty, filling, everything about it was fantastic. Okay, the cookie. The spicy pb cookie, it was very complex, had me pondering everything I knew about peanut butter cookies with the layers of flavor and sensations. That said, it was a too hard in my opinion for a peanut butter cookie. Generally I think "soft baked" texture with pb cookies. This one was hard and crunchy. Not bad, but just threw me off a bit. Stop in, try out their food. You won't be disappointed. Took all the will power to not get this awesome looking raspberry bomb/dome tart.. Next time. Staff is awesome as well. Always Thankful for patience when I'm choosing out pastry at a bakery because it's a tough decision to make that takes time!

The outside shell and the pumpkin inside was packed with flavor. I also really enjoy the graham cracker base. My husband had the yodel ($4.00), a chocolate cake rolled with a buttercream filling and covered with chocolate and sprinkles. He enjoyed his pastry as well. Later that day, I saw Sin posted on their instagram that they were unfortunately closing the retail storefront and going back to focusing on custom cakes and speciality dessert orders. The last day the bakery will be open is Sunday, September 21st. I was so glad I was able to stop by before they closed.

A go to spot for me also. On to the review! I walk in and greeted by a very polite person asking me what I would like and started off with a loaf of Italian bread sliced. They grab the loaf fly to the back and before you know they are right back and asked if I wanted anything else and I asked for some torpedo rolls and while they grabbed that I scooped up some Hermit cookies (my favorite thing here!). We square up at the counter with a fast polite credit card transaction and I'm out the door ( watch the step going in and out). Great little town bakery where most the locals can be seen chit chatting back and forth while ordering stuff. Great friendly vibe. Nice clean place and really awesome Hermit cookies! So I scrolled bakeries on Yelp and saw photos of Borrelli's shelves with cakes available for sale. Perfect! I hopped in the car and Wow, do they have a lot of cakes for sale! There are several display cases with cupcakes, pastry, donuts, cakes, calzones, spinach pies, breads. So much deliciousness. The person I was buying a birthday cake for does not particularly like cake so I wasn't quite sure what to get. They do sell the large frosted cookies, but I wasn't sure that was quite right. Then I saw it. Tiramisu! A great big round Tiramisu cake! Yes! We stuck some candles in there, sang happy birthday and cut it along the lady fingers around the edge. A 'two finger' slice or a 'one finger' slice made serving easy. And OMG, this is SO. Good! Creamy, coffee tiramisu cream with layers of lady fingers in between. Not too sweet, lots of coffee flavor. We easily got 12 servings and everyone loved it. Even the non-cake eating birthday recipient. Yay! There is no price list posted in the shop so I ask for the price of the item I was interested in. Credit card sales have a small transaction fee added (one dollar for my order) or use cash to avoid the fee. The entrance does not appear to be wheelchair accessible. Not sure if they have a different entrance? But there is a curb between the parking lot and the door. Just fyi. There were three staff members out front when we arrived to assist customers. Two were working with another customer and I spent a good deal of time checking out all the display cases and talking with my husband. No one interrupted my perusal. When I looked up to ask a question a young woman made eye contact and assisted me with my purchase. Very pleasant to speak with and she quickly boxed up my cake and wrapped it with twine. All together an excellent experience.

The lemon square was stuffed with lemon filling and the crust was baked perfectly. The double chocolate cake was perfect with the wine and was just the right size for an after dinner dessert.

It was made out of a buttercream frosting and funfetti cake - a perfect mix. It was a small cake but thick and tall. Cost about $80. They didn't have black ribbon so I added ribbon afterwards myself - fun tip. I wish the heart shape of the cake was more pronounced. The shape looked very circular and the frosting was off white, more light yellow looking (hard to tell in the pic cause I edited the color of the picture) the cake was delicious though so made up for this. The bakery is in a busy area of East Greenwich on Main Street. You can find street parking but be sure to go early if picking up during prime time.

This DeLuise knows what they're doing. The bread and pastries are delicious. Definitely my favorite pizza strips of all time. If you don't know about Rhode Island pizza strips then you're missing out. The ambiance is perfect, just what it should be. A neighborhood bakery in an old neighborhood building. A few display cases filled with tempting pastry deliciousness, a counter with a couple of trays of pizza strips and some shelves holding beautiful loafs of bread. Definitely worth the drive for top notch baked goods.
