My dog (Standard Poodle/Aussie) is usually pretty good at the groomers but he is a very sensitive dog and can get anxious with new surroundings. His groom took a little longer than expected but she was very busy (Saturday) with multiple dogs. When I picked him up I could tell he was completely comfortable and he looked great ! My puppies look amazing but one of the puppies has a couple nicks on their behind (due to "bitting") i don't believe never seen him bite or try to itch his behind, our total was 160 OUTRAGEOUS for two puppies my opinion we're trying out new groomers because our previous groomer doesn't do nails (will being going back to her) and figure out what we can do about the nails. She was very blunt and somewhat rude in a way not so great. I'm very grateful and thankful our puppies look this great they haven't gotten a cut in a while. read more

Today (11-27-23) I called and was informed "by the new owner" who apparently took over in July, 2023, that she does not have set hours because " . . . she must pick-up her son from school by 2:30 p.m. every day." I understand her need to pick-up her son. I asked her if she could please post her hours on the business door so that we (the customers) could have a better understanding of when she was open/available. She informed me that she does not post her hours. I advised her that the previous owners had posted the business hours on the door. I advised her that my family has lived in the Muldoon area for 25 years and that we like to support local businesses instead of large Corporate entities. We have supported The Natural Pet over several years in the past, through many owners. Instead of considering what I had just explained to her, she went into a tyraid about how the prior owner NEVER posted anything on the door and that she knew this ". . . because she worked there for a month before the prior owners sold it to me". I suggested that she might want to consider my suggestion because it might help her "struggling business". She curtly asked me "what makes you think my business is struggling?" Well, she's got me there. She must have so much business that she doesn't need mine. Clearly, I have misunderstood the purpose of her starting a business and wanting to make it successful. I stand corrected. BTW - I only wanted to have my elder GSD's toenails clipped today - which in the past was a walk-in service that other owners have provided. I'll find another groomer to take care of my girl instead of trying to guess when I can get her in for toenail clips and grooming. read more

We followed our groomer and are so excited for her in her new adventure! I first met Carly at her previous job which had professional grooming and also had space available for self wash. Since I was convinced I did the best job on my dogs, I washed my own dogs for years. This allowed me time to be a proverbial fly on the wall and observe Carly interact with other people's fur babies. She has a very nice way with animals. I set an appointment 6 weeks out for 8 am. The day of the appointment I drop my dog off right at 8 am. At 3:30 pm I had not heard from them which was very concerning. When I called I was told that he hadn't even been groomed yet and it will probably be another 45 min+. It does not look like they have an area for pets to run around meaning my dog was probably locked in a crate all day which was not what I signed up for. I wish they had a zero star rating. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG. I took my Korean Jindo to Carly Manners business to have him groomed. She had an inexperienced person groom him and he fell off of the table and ruptured a disc in his neck. When I picked him up he could barely walk and had to be lifted into my car. We went straight to Midnight Sun Emerg an I called her to find out if she had insurance. She lied and said that she did, only to find out later that she was running an UNINSURED OPERATION. I had to immediately come out of pocket for almost $10k in medical bills while she scrambled to come up with some money. She tried to minimize her liability every step of the way and had the nerve to infer that I may have had medical procedures done not related to his injuries. She became hostile and I was forced to settle for less than the total because I have neither the time nor energy to go to court for a couple hundred dollars and as a Veteran and the widow of a Veteran, my heart wasn't in it to financially ruin a military family. This place is a dump and the owner is unscrupulous and cares nothing for her clients or their pets. The stained and missing ceiling tiles and the dingy interior should have been a clue that she cares so little for her business that she won't bother to fix the place up and to operate without business insurance is the epitome of stupidity. My dog will never fully recover and her lack of empathy was itself appalling. I own Purrfect Purr Cat Hotel and I've been in business for 11 years caring for people fur babies. It's a labor of love and appreciation of having the privilege of being around some of the most beautiful creatures on God Earth. They are keen to her needs and although she has a Corgi-disposition to be low to the ground: she walks out of The Natural Pet Groomers walking taller then before. They took great care of my dog who was very matted. She is all clean and beautiful now and her nails are perfect.

Brought my 13 year old Miniature Pinscher in and was amazed with the service. She hates her paws touched and her nails often grow very long because she is not very active. I was amazed. Alanna did an amazing job on Rocco. I originally brought him in to do his nails but Rocco jumped in the lake and smelled like alge so I asked about a wash too. Alanna stayed late to wash Rocco which was a very nice thing to do to begin with but the amazing job she did is what should be raved about. Rocco has never looked so good. Peggy The Owner of The Natural Pet is Wonder Woman! I have been told she is The Dog Whisperer. I believe it! When my Pets go to her they calm down. I've been @ seen a lot of Groomers thru out my Pets lives. No one can compare to her. Here in Alaska or Palm Springs Calif. She doesn't give a crappy hair cut or bad toe nail trim. We had decided to leave our current groomer after several years due to the groomer's anger issues. When we moved to the East side of Anchorage that a neighbor across the street told us about Peggy who was her groomer and how much this neighbor really liked Peggy. We decided to check Peggy out and we have been with Peggy since 2005 as we have been so happy with Peggy and when we have asked her to do something special for us for the well being of the dog that even though Peggy is very busy that she does not have a problem with the request. Since 2005 we have never looked at another groomer as Peggy is worth the money and I have unstressed dogs coming home to me. We love the hankerchief that Peggy is Peggy's trademark and we have refferred several people to Peggy after people have noticed how nice my dogs look....... read more
