Since I first came here, Ive been coming back consistently every 2-3 weeks to get my full set/ fill. I am in love with my nails every time. Im new to the nail world, before I would just get a gel mani here and there but since I found this salon i am so excited to try new sets because the work they do is beautiful. Second visit to The Nail Box and I'm surprised to say I'll actually be back. The first time was a miss, but I was tired of my regular spot phoning it in, so I gave this place another shot. Booking over the phone was a little rough - the girl who answered actually dropped a cuss word mid-call, which says a lot about customer service these days. At this point though, look who's running the White House, so I rolled my eyes and kept the appointment. Cute little corner shop with parking in the back and a decorated, teddy-bear-filled entry that's very Instagram-trying. It was a slow day and I ended up being the only one in there for a pedicure, which I didn't mind at all. I booked the basic $55 pedicure with gel polish. For that price you don't get a lot of extras or spa-level frills, but the tech more than made up for it with how detailed she was. She really took her time cleaning up my cuticles on every toe, shaped my nails exactly how I like them, and the gel polish went on smooth and flawless. No streaks, no bubbles, no rushed job. She was friendly, made a little conversation, then let me relax, which I appreciated. Only downside: they share a wall with a restaurant that clearly has a gnat problem. One persistent gnat kept buzzing me to the point where I finally said something. The tech admitted it's from next door. So, note to self: I'll come back for pedicures, but I won't be eating at that restaurant anytime soon. Overall, for a clean, quiet pedicure with someone who actually respects your cuticles and polish, I'd come back and sit in her chair again. I just wish the basic pedicure included a bit more for $55 and that the neighbors would handle their bug situation. read more

I honestly contemplated writing this review but after long thought- I had to. I came in as a walk in- (I have my normal nail salon I go to, but I didn't have the time to drive out to it & I was in the area so decided to walk in) from the beginning I felt like the nail technician was annoyed she had to take me? The vibe wasn't welcoming like you would assume. She was extremely rough when it came to filing my nails (my nails feel sore from it), but I didn't say anything. UNTIL- it came time to cut my cuticles. Once again, it was a rough job done and on the second nail- she cut me SOO bad! I instantly pulled away and told her how painful it was, and if she could not do that again & she apologized for it- so she started to slow down. Then she started cutting my cuticles from my other hand, as rough as the first hand, and it happens again! I seriously wanted to cry because this time around it was even more painful than the first. I wanted a different color at first but after the service I received, I was just ready to get out of there!!! This was the first and last time I come here. read more

The nail shop I usually go to was closed on a Monday so I decided to try them because they're across the street ! Let's get into it ! After reading reviews I must must of gotten lucky because it was empty inside ( I came around 4:15 ) the set up is cute and Looks to be clean . The younger lady did my nails . I showed her a reference photo and she did it better than the pic, let alone she did my nails better then th place I go to ! Precision on point ! Im not going to post how cute my feet look okkkkk?! LOL The Nails Box is a nail salon that opened up in May on the corner of City Hall and Little Namking. There's parking in the back, though tight; otherwise, street parking isn't hard to find either. The nail salon itself is bright and airy and clean. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered a mimosa. Alcohol while getting my nails done is exactly what I needed for a moment to myself and some much needed pampering. My nail tech was Alice and she walked me through the 4 different types of pedicures. The most affordable option is what they call the "nailcessity" which is $41. I got the next level up which included cleaning/trimming of cuticles, a 10 min massage, and hot wax. My nails were first cleaned, followed by a scrub. She also used a lotion, hot towels and oil which made my feet buttery soft. Alice was very meticulous with painting as well and had the most steady hand. She's fast and efficient - I was out in 45 min. Price wise, I spent about $60-65 for a gel pedicure prior to tipping but I think this is average pricing post-pandemic. I don't get my nails done often so this was a nice treat! read more

They charged me 60 dollars to not even get a full set and cut me twice after I mentioned I had sensitive skin. I told the lady and showed her what color I wanted and then she starts painting them a completely different color. After telling her she messed up, she rushed to remove the color, cutting me in the process right after she cut me the first time. Never coming back here. read more

$25.. basic manicure; water(cold); half ass shape/file; "cuticle oil"; steam towel was "stained/dirty." There was no cuticle softener used when cutting cuticles. No lotion or massage. Thought that was part of a basic manicure. I saw that those products were being used for a pedicure for another customer, but again, that was a "pedicure." i got my nails done on thursday and my prom was being hosted on saturday. at first, i thought they were perfect but then i began to take a closer look. you can clearly see that the nails don't even fit my fingers and most don't point straight, they're instead pointed outward. they even ache from time to time and im sure that isn't normal. i will admit that my nail tech was good with design since she referred to my inspo pic pretty well and i even asked for an initial on one of my fingers and she did it well, it was just the nail application that i see as unacceptable. there were also other nail techs watching her do my nails which made me question if she was a beginner. this also made me pretty nervous speaking these nails were for an important event. my date paid for me and they cost $90. he noticed they seemed odd but still gave a $10 tip because he's sweet like that. but i personally don't really think it was deserved. i won't be coming back because i believe that i could've put on press ons and they'd still look better. overall, i feel like maybe some practice is needed but my nails look good from far away, which i suppose counts for something. read more

Today I went to this shitty place called Nailbox, and it was the worse experience, customer service was awful and very unprofessional. The front desk receptionist displayed no manners and disrespected me various times when I was simply trying to explain to her what was wrong. This place deserves to be closed down! They had a young girl practicing pedicures and sharing pedicure equipment with her coworkers, and I was expected to pay full price for a pedicure when the girl had no clue what to do and wasn't being guided or helped. As mentioned she was sharing equipment and that in itself is not maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation. read more

It took the older lady who did my pedicure over an hour to finish my pedicure, plus I did not like how they reuse the foot buffer on every client. The foot buffer cannot be reuse on different clients, reusing the same foot buffer after they scrub another person feet is nasty and cannot be disinfected. I noticed the foot buffer they lady used on my foot had left over foot callus and they tried to wash it off in the back. The only good thing is the gel polish lasted for almost two weeks. They should be fine by the state board for reusing foot buffer. read more

They had a same day appointment which was great! Went in for a gel-x extension manicure...didn't get a manicure. She just went straight in with the bare minimum to prep for the nail application. The cost was much higher than other places I've gone. by two weeks later, the way they applied the nails caused them to already look quite grown out. The nail polish also started chipping within a week which has never happened to me with gel. Overall, they were really nice and accommodating with schedules but I wouldn't go back due to quality of service and cost. read more
