The price doesn't meet the quality. I'm new in town and was hoping to get my mani/pedi done in timely fashion (mani with gel polish). Gentlemen who did my pedi was very slow and sloppy, which resulted in uneven layers of nail polish and polish on my cuticles. My mani was done by a younger lady, who originally did my French mani with bobbles. She removed the first "round" incompletely and covered it up with the neutral pink color. As a result, my nails look messy and untidy, as if they were done by unprofessionals. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends, and I wouldn't recommend this place to you. This second time around the person doing my mani was sadly just trying to do the bare minimum even though the prices here are higher compared to other Gainesville nail salons. The whole experience was just not enjoyable, I had to constantly watch what he was doing and ask him to clean the cuticles better, shape the nails to look cleaner, etc. Questionable if I will be returning here given that my relaxing mani was not at all what I was looking forward to. @ the nail spa please do better. read more

The first time I came here, I asked for a gel polish change and they ended up giving me a full gel manicure and charged me for it. It was an extra $10 or $15 and I didn't say anything so I guess that's my fault, so I came back again. This time I was super vocal about it only being a gel polish change. After taking my current polish off, the nail tech, (who was the same one as the first time) put my hand in a soak and pulled out the cuticle clippers. I told her to stop because I didn't want the full manicure and she looked confused and instantly pulled my hand out of the soak and wiped it off. For the rest of the time she had a HUGE attitude and rushed through my nails. Seemed like it was because I wasn't gonna pay the extra $15 for something I don't need!!! She also drilled them down, made them super thin, and the polish started chipping after a week. I can't remember her name (because they don't post their licenses at their desks ) but she was an older lady who sits to the left of the door in the second row. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I went to have my nails done yesterday and I've never had a worse experience in my entire life. I had my nails done by Quinn. I told her I wanted a new set and also asked for her to sand down my natural nails underneath my acrylic nails. She did neither. It was too much work for her to do a new set, so she replaced one of my nails and then filled the rest. She applied the gel Polish so thick that it dropped down onto my fingers and she never even apologized for the sloppy mess she created on my hands. I noticed one of my fingers was bumpy and misshapen. I was trying to tell her about it, and she cut me off mid sentence and said in a very rude tone "YEA I FILE DOWN IN A MINUTE." She never fixed the nail I was talking about because she so rudely cut me off while I was speaking. I had to go back inside and have her fix it for me. She was also talking about me right in front of my face to a male coworker. I don't ask for a lot, all I ask for is effort and to not be lazy. The incompetence and lack of effort was astounding. Do it right the first time or don't do it at all. I'm paying for a service so I'm expecting my nails to be done right. There is still dried gel Polish on my fingers and acrylic under my nails that she never sanded off. The overall sloppy and less than mediocre service that I received here was astounding. As a nail tech your job is to efficiently do someone's nails, it's not a race to see how fast you can get someone in and out of the shop. I will NEVER be returning to this location. Absolutely HORRIBLE service I got yesterday that left me in tears. I came in to fix ONE broken nail, I was told I could not make an appointment but if I walked in the wait would not be that long. I waited for over an hour just to be seated with KEN who did my nails prior. He asked me what color it was, but I got them done over 3 weeks ago and did not know the exact number. He sent me over to try and figure it out and I picked a color with little help that looked like what I had. When he put it on my nail it was clearly not the same color and I timidly said it did not match. Ken proceeded to tell me that it was fine and wanted me to keep what I had "because I had to get a new set soon anyway." I told him I was going on vacation and would like to not have one nail that was completely different. This led to him becoming EXTREMELY rude basically yelling at me saying "well if you want it off you should've already said it because it's harder to take off the longer you wait." I said yes I want it changed and he proceeded to roll his eyes at me and when it wouldn't just rub off because it was already dry he started hitting and slamming the dip powder on the table. Obviously irritated by me not wanting a nail with a completely different shade he began making snarky comments to coworkers right in front of me as I soaked off my one nail. He then told the receptionist to give me to someone else "because she can't figure out the right color." I was in this nail salon for TWO HOURS for a five-minute fix of ONE nail. Was in disbelief at how rude a grown man could be because I didn't want to settle for a botched nail job. I will never be back, a waste of time and energy. read more

When that happened to me and I couldn't stay for another hour because not everyone has that flexibility (working moms would understand how difficult it's to carve out two hours on a weekend for a mani/pedi in the first place and when you do, you just want decent services) and asked for just a discount on service so I could leave, I was told that since I got the service, I had to pay for it so NO discount on service pictured. The rudeness of staff was gaslighting, not only was there not even a hint of apology, when I mentioned that I most definitely plan to leave an honest review on yelp, they laughed and suggested it won't affect them too much, so they don't care. They were closing in 40mins but still accommodated the 3 of us. Everyone was so nice and really took the time. My mom especially liked Long because of how detail oriented he was. This is NOT the place to go, I went in with a specific picture, short almond shape with black & white French tip. The woman doing my nails made it look like it was her first day. They are so horrible. Uneven, lumpy, different shapes & lengths, the French tip are all different shapes & sizes too. Absolutely NOTHING like what I asked for. I asked her MANY times to fix the shape and tried explaining I wasn't happy and I was brushed off. ALSO, without asking she cut my toe nails into round shape when I always keep square & came in with square shape and the color is so blotchy. I can only speak about Anna who is the only one that does my nails, and wax and she is amazing. I go to her with an idea and let her take over and make it her way and she never disappoints. She makes sure that I like everything she is doing before it's done and if I don't she has no problem redoing or fixing. All of the staff are very friendly, they interact with you not just with each other. They do require you to wear a mask due to COVID. If your nails aren't done well by other staff members, I recommend you tell Anna about it. If a color chips, it's typically because it's an older polish and likely not used often, give them another shot they are a really great salon. Anna has been the only one that can get my eyebrows exactly how I like them. read more

I hate to write a negative review of this place, because I've had some great nail jobs done here in the past. However, this place has massively failed to take Covid-19 seriously. They did a solid job in May, but when I went back later in the pandemic about half of the people in the salon were not wearing masks. When I asked about this, we were told that masks were not required (despite county order!!). I will never again support a business that fails to take the pandemic seriously.
