Adam was very friendly and talkative. He was very personable in defining the difference between gel x and builder gel. The first guy suggested I get builder gel instead of my normal gel x with the tip. The last person that did my nails did dip powder and filed my nails all the way to the skin. I'm not a fan of the builder gel, especially with it costing $73 I guess I will be on a forever quest to find someone to service my nails the way I like them or I can just give up and never get a manicure again. Lol It's starting to look that way even though I keep giving people chances. The salon was clean. There are tvs but the one in front of me only displayed business pages. One of the worse pedicures I have ever gotten. Asked for Deluxe pedicure. First she set a timer before starting work(?) then she didn't remove any dry skin . I've been going here since they opened but today is the last day I try to use this salon. They accepted me as a walk in at one05 PM and told me it would be 20 to 30 minutes. They said they would call me when they were ready so I went shopping. Didn't get a call so at 35 minutes I went inside and waiting where they could see me. They said they would call me.. I was called in less time than what was expected.. when I sat to get my pedicure.. the person removed my nail polish.. then proto just paint my toes. I was super excited because the place seemed upscale and I expected the service to be good considering it's in Highland Village which is a prestigious shopping area in Jackson. I asked for a dip powder manicure and full set. I was sat immediately but the guy who did my nails seemed super stingy. He moved super quick and even hurt a little when doing my cuticles. I asked for my nails to be in a square shape and they were not done properly. They were still rounded. My nails started to chip not even a week later. I will not be returning back. Jessica did an okay job on my nails but when complete charged me a ridiculous amount - $52.00 dollars for a fill and polish (the woman who was getting her nails re-done from the day before, was charged $60.00 for a new set). She also bad-mouthed my previous fill and polish which I found annoying and unprofessional. I am from out of state and get my nails done all over the place and will not be returning here due to the prices and poor service. This should be at most $35.00. If you consider getting your nails done here be ready to pay top dollar for something that should cost you much less. Break down of my bill was as follows: $22 for fill - $5.00 for cut - $25 for shellac polish. Day 5 Update - polish has not lasted at all and is chipping and peeling off the nails. For something that costed $52.00 dollars I expect a much longer life span. This place is the reason why nail shops get such a bad rap - rip off!!!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Just visited and let's just say the service has really gone down hill since the last time I had a pedicure. The person I was with enjoyed their nail tech, but the guy I had was in a hurry the entire time. He was SO rough and left my toes red afterwards. I'm praying I don't get a nail infection from this visit. I also asked for gel removal from my nails, and there is still reside on my nails. I should have looked closer and let them know before I left. That ones in me. Either way, very disappointed in this place. It used to be awesome and is no longer a relaxing experience. I came in for an acrylic fill in and my nail technician could not find an acrylic color to match the sheer pink I already had on my nails. They use plastic over the basins where you soak your feet, but the chair is very hard although there is cushion and no massage chair. All and all not worth paying double price for. Loved my visit here! The shop here is very unique with a very cute teal decor. The staff is extremely professional & also knowledgeable of what's happening in the city. I didn't know my nail techs' name but they were both great. My pedicure was everything plus more and the girl who applied my full set was flawless with each of her techniques. I was even able to get a full list of great places to eat while I was visiting Jackson during my hurricane Irma evacuation. I will definitely be returning. While I like this salon, I would avoid the nail tech, Tiffany at all cost!!! She did my nail dip for the 2nd time. The first time she was extremely rude, and I shrugged it off as a bad day. The 2nd time was even worse. Tiffany was extremely critical of my nails and cuticles. I explained that I have psoriasis , which causes nail and skin issues, after she continued to berate me in front of other customers because I refused a paraffin treatment. The customer next to me commented on her rudeness. She said she refused to ever have Tiffany again because she was so unkind. It is really sad because she is decent at doing nails. I then observed her speak to an elderly customer in the same way. After a year as a repeat customer, I will find a new salon. My advice to the salon is to let her go before she causes you to lose more business, or get her medication and therapy . No one deserves to be treated the way she treats customers. read more

Its what you would envision a nail bar to look like in the area. They offer beverages and a menu to decide what you would like to have done. They cut me three times! I paid 160 dollars (not including a tip) for my daughter and I to get mani pedis-- just the basic packages. No massage chairs. We paid for matching shellac fingers and regular toe polish. They did not match. I have blue fingers and purple toes so does my daughter. While I was very happy with the service that I received at the Nail Lounge, I was quite disappointed at checkout. I had received a gift card for my birthday and was told that because it was 15 months from the issue date that it was no longer valid. There was no expiration date on the card nor was there anything in the envelope in which it came to indicate that the card was only valid for 1 year. The owner only allowed 50% of the card - this in spite of the fact that we have also been living through a pandemic. I am careful to be sure that I use gift certificates before they expire but in this case I had no way of knowing. Will not be returning. read more
