Came here with a friend since we were in the area. There's a lot of boba places in Seattle so I didn't really come with any expectations. The inside seemed nice with plenty of decoration although most of it was just the merchandise they were selling. Also there were some Christmas stuff still lol. I ended up getting an Oreo Tiramisu boba tea drink. I don't see that very often so I decided to go for it. The presentation of the drink was well done, with a cookie sticking out the top. You also get a random cup (unless you pay extra for a choice) where it's a cute cartoon corgi something. The drink itself balanced the sweetness and tea well. There isn't much service as ordering is done primarily through a kiosk, so not many thoughts on that part of the experience. Not bad overall. read more

Banana bread hojicha latte - I loved this one the most. I thought the banana pudding or cream that they used was so delicious. It was not too sweet. I loved how the earthiness and depths of the hojicha blended with the sweetness of the banana flavor. I will say towards the end I think I got more of the settlements of cinnamon and it became more cinnamon forward but other than that, I really love this drink. Banana bread matcha latte - I felt like this drink I got hit with the matcha first and then afterwards I got the banana flavor. I enjoyed this one, but it wasn't anything super blowing away. Strawberry shortcake latte - tastes like Special K strawberry cereal, but poured with Matcha instead of milk. I quite liked it as few sips but think the whole thing may be a bit too sweet for my preference. I've been wanting to try a banana pudding matcha for months now and was dawn in by the signs outside the shop. You order your drink yourself on a kiosk. They had other cool matcha creations like Mango Sticky rice and Crème brûlée, as well as an assortment of boba and coffee drinks . The drink was pretty, but I honestly didn't enjoy drinking it, so I didn't finish it. There was a scoop of banana pudding on top along with a crumbly topping, but otherwise I didn't detect any banana flavor in the actual drink and the matcha seemed watered down. I think their thing is the collectible jars, but I am a dish minimalist and I think I would've preferred an option to just get my drink in a recyclable/compostable cup versus being stuck with a cartoon jar. I got a boba milk tea for me and a strawberry lemonade for the kids. I wished the strawberry lemonade also came in a mason jar because we added boba and you can't fit a boba straw in the strawberry cup, so we either had to take the lid off to use the boba straw, which is a bad idea for with a 5 and 7 year old who were drinking this while walking. We settled on them just eating the boba after they finished the drink. The boba milk tea is ok. Nothing to write home about, but the novelty of the mason jars is still cool. This time I got the seasonal iced blueberry (ceremonial) matcha with oat milk and no sweetener, which was a delightful balance of flavor and very refreshing on my walk home. When you order in person and bring in your own bottle/jar from a previous visit, make sure to tell a barista BEFORE to get a 10% off discount code. Make sure to check out their menu ahead of time, since it might be hard to choose quickly from the large list of offerings, especially with the numerous seasonal items that rotate through. You get a random one automatically with a drink and the designs are always super cute. I just came for their raindrop cake and dubai strawberries. I liked the cake, it comes with a brown sugar type syrup and some brown powder I didn't use. It was nice and refreshing. Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #75 There's a surprising lack of boba spots in SLU, with The Moo Bar being one of currently three places. I've been to plenty of Happy Lemon locations, and I'm on a self-imposed Heytea boycott, so The Moo Bar was the only choice the last time I was in the area. As most other reviews mention, this place is apparently famous for the jars they serve their drinks in. I didn't know this going in, but it's certainly an interesting gimmick. I expected to have to pay extra for the jar, but a preselected one is actually included in the drink price. It does cost an extra $5 to choose a different design. They have a kiosk in front for easy ordering. I don't really care about service, but I do have to mention that there was only one employee in the store and I had to yell to get his attention to ask a question. Four Season Black Tea, 50% Sugar, Light Ice, Today's Bottle, House Milk w/ Honey Boba ($7.25) - Interestingly a lot of lower ratings complain about the drinks being too watery with no flavor. Maybe they are typically worse, but I found my drink to be quite pleasant, with a somewhat malty tea flavor mixed well with house milk (a non-dairy creamer) that doesn't overwhelm. The sweetness at half is nice. I don't know why they call this a Four Season tea though - that's a type of oolong with a very distinctive fragrance and this drink doesn't exhibit that flavor at all. The boba is surprisingly good. The pearls are a bit on the larger side and more craggly in surface texture vs. smooth, but they are pretty good in both chew and bounce, albeit just slightly on the firmer side. They have a brown sugar kind of taste on the exterior, puzzling given that they call it a honey boba. I guess they just mislabel stuff here or use only a small amount of honey in the soak? Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Hong Kong Milk Tea, Today's Bottle w/ Honey Boba ($7.50) - There are no ice/sugar adjustments for this drink allowed. This drink is definitely much weaker than the other drink. There's far too much condensed milk added, making the drink extremely milky to the detriment of the tea. There's still a bit of the astringent kick coming towards the aftertaste, but it's nothing like a properly made HK-style milk tea. I wouldn't get this drink again. Milk Tea Rating: 2/5 Given all the negative reviews for this place, I have to wonder if I maybe just visited during one of their very few good days... I guess I will have to revisit and report back. Note: The Moo Bar's payment processor charges a large service fee (something around 6%). When I saw my receipt I was almost going to drop my rating to 1 star, but I guess this isn't really their fault. I do find it very suspicious that it isn't broken up and instead is lumped into "taxes and other." That should be illegal. read more

I really wanted to like this place because it was so cute inside and used reusable cups. Sadly the ube drink with coconut milk we ordered was one of the worst bobas I have ever had in my life, I couldn't finish it -3/10. No flavor at all, it litrally tasted like water flavored milk. Cute place with lots of cute cups. Unfortunately, the cups we liked the most were all sold out. To choose our own cups instead of having their chosen ones for that day, it was an extra $5. But my bf really wanted the ninja corgi cups, so we paid an additional $10 total for our two drinks. He got the Oreo milkshake and I got the Lychee Dragonfruit Tea and added strawberry bits and tapioca. Both drinks were tasty and the texture of the tapioca was good. Service was friendly. Omg I think I found my new favorite boba shop! Not sure what's up with the low reviews but my experience here was pretty great! The staff were all super friendly and helpful! I had my senior pup in the stroller so I called ahead to make sure I could order inside with him and they let me bring him in. It's a small little spot mainly for takeout. There is some seating by the window. Lots of cute cups, the designs are always changing but right now they have Sailor Moon themed cups and I'm obsessed! The designs are so cute!! Me and my one friend got mango and sesame ice creams and other friend got Moo Bar Special (Black milk tea) with lactose free milk. It was really tasty. This is a cool place to get Boba Tea or Vietnamese Coffee with a fun vibe! The place has an Anime / Milk Bar / Dog Lovers Modern vibe to it. They have this thing called 'Cheese Foam' which tastes way better than it sounds. It's soft, light and a hint of salt. I had the Vietnamese Coconut Coffee. Located on the main road is this cute little boba spot! This place is known for their glass jars w/ very cute characters on them! If you love Pokémon, Corgi's, Shiba's, Dragon Ball Z, and more, this is definitely a spot you want to check out! They have a wide variety of drink selections and honestly, they all look so good! Some of the drink combinations are also some things I haven't seen before! So it's nice to try something new here if you're up for it! I ordered the Thai Tea Horchata w/ house milk and I added Oreo toppings to it & my partner got the Passion Mango Tea! You can control the sweetness level and ice level on some drinks which is nice to further customize your drink. The Thai Tea Horchata was really good and not overly sweet! It was definitely something new I haven't seen before so I felt adventurous to try it! I recommend this drink! It is a little more on the heavier side, but it wasn't too bad and I finished it all. The Passion Mango Tea was with less ice and regular sweetness and it was still a very refreshing drink and it still wasn't too sweet! I also recommend this drink if you want something lighter and refreshing. Other than that, the establishment itself is pretty small. Once you walk in, there is a big kiosk touch screen where you order and pay. There is only one kiosk, so if it is busy, it might take awhile until you can order. The drinks didn't take too long & it was sort of busy when we went...we probably waited 10-15 minutes after we ordered. On the counters, they have stickers laid out that is also for sale and to the left of the kiosk is one of many shelves that showcase their bottle products w/ the designs! They even have some of them for sale if you pay in cash! (It is only on select designs) ALSO, they do sell some cute rugs as well and some shirts! So if you're interested in purchasing those, you can do so! They have some seating against the window and 3 seats along the wall, so most people just take it out and drink nearby. You'll be lucky to get a seat if it isn't busy inside. The great thing is that you can also wait outside if you don't want to be cramped inside, since they'll text you when your order is ready to be picked up. Overall it was great, the staff is busy and focused on getting the orders out! So there is not much person to person interaction with them. I knocked it down one star for having only one kiosk to order on because some parties can take awhile if they don't know what they want and they display some glass jars that are sold out which is kind of sad because I'd rather just see what they have available. Also, they should put what glass jars they are giving out for the day because we were expecting corgi glass jars but got Dragon Ball Z instead, which I'm not complaining about because I love that show too! Great place! Just had raindrop cake tho. The syrup is pretty authentic. The raindrop cake itself is semi-authentic. It's decent. Bit pricey. The service is great - you can order either at the counter or electronic board, and once you order it, the order comes pretty quick. The ambience is nice too - they decorate well and play music (not too loud unlike other loud places!) but there are only 2 seats, so it's probably better to plan to grab and go. hard to find a parking spot in the area. Okay first of all, if you come here just for the corgi cups, you are doing it right. Soooo many cute options and I believe you pay extra if you pick. My daughter is a corgi lover and we come for new cups frequently. They now come with plugs for the straw hike and we use them for storage of all kinds of things. On to the drinks. Stumbled upon this cute hole in the wall bubble tea shop Sunday morning and decided to get the Ube Viet Coffee and Strawberry Matcha Latte. The barista making the drink was quite friendly and the beverages actually came out very quickly. However, I was slightly disappointed in their flavor. My girlfriend thought that the Ube didn't add much to the coffee and actually tasted more like taro. I thought that the Strawberry matcha latte, although milky and had good consistency, was a little sour when the strawberry puree was mixed in. I don't know if it's a hot take to give this place 5 stars (maybe it is, judging from other reviews), but I love it! I'm also the kind of person that doesn't mad paying a little extra for the aesthetic, so if that's not you, then maybe this won't be your go-to SLU boba spot. They have shelves with rows and rows of cups and jars on them with price tags, so I had assumed that you had to specifically ask them for the jar and pay for it if you wanted it. Clarity and an option to skip the jar would've made the experience better.
