Custom Monogram gift
Dee S.

I have already reviewed this business once , and I have had many items monogrammed here in the past.... however my latest order was just absolutely perfect and I feel I had to share . It was exactly what I wanted and Lisa had it done and ready in the same day !! Thank You again , my sister loved her gift !

The Monogram Shoppe remains my GO TO place for any gift I need to procure. Whether you need something fabulous and indulgent for a special someone or something more basic for a person you don't k is very well (hostess gift, etc) this is THE place to shop. Not only does the owner have impeccable taste and a flair for the fab, but she is super helpful and so nice that you never want to leave. Who knew that a beautiful cutting board could be monogrammed? Or that you really and truly needed another new monogrammed makeup bag? I love this place and am always excited for my gift recipients' reactions!

This wonderful shop offers some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Recently I've been working on some challenging birthday gift projects that require personalization. The staff at The Monogram Shoppe has patiently given me all the time needed to help work up my designs, as well as providing their own great creative input. All that, and their prices for embroidered monograms are extremely reasonable. They'll do screen-printing, too, I learned. Bring in your own items to be personalized or choose from quality selections in the shop. They sell some clothing, hats, aprons, blankets, pillows, robes, totes, tees & more.....not everything is on display so if you don't see it, just ask because it might be stored in the back of the shop. There are baby & child sizes available. My first two projects were completed to perfection in just a few days. Now I'm working on a couple more. Best of all, I'm having so much fun. Be aware that the shop is closed Sunday & Monday. There's a small private parking lot for the handful of independent stores on this block. Otherwise, metered street parking all around. Or....park free on Catalina north of Ave I & walk a couple blocks.

Monogrammed Lululemon Bag

I brought in a bag I bought for my mom's birthday. I was really happy to hear that they could personalize it the way I wanted and they could have it ready in 2-3 days. It turned out that they had it ready in 24 hours.

My baby blanket made beautiful by your store! Thank you!!

I have purchased items in the past and made special blankets for the shop to personalize. Thought I'd show their beautiful work. Thank you! It's not easy to monogram on satin blanket edging and you did a magnificent job!

Recently I decided that I would like some monogrammed shirts to wear during the warm summer months; both for my comfort and to help increase our branding efforts. I requested a sample shirt without our logo from one of the many online stores and was disappointed. On top of that, I had to pay for return shipping to send the 'free' sample back. Rather than keep trying samples sight unseen, I decided to buy shirts I liked from a local retailer and have them monogrammed 'offline' as well. My search led me to the Monogram Shoppe, as it is near my office and would give me the chance to support another small business. They did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. I have gone back several times to get other items monogrammed, and recommend the wonderful ladies at Monogram Shoppe without reservation.

Super sad and disappointed to leave this review as I love monograms and supporting local businesses. Unfortunately I made the mistake of bringing my graduation sash here to be monogrammed with my initials and MSW. I was surprised that upon pick up, the sash was already wrapped in tissue paper and bagged. Typically custom work is shown to the customer upon completion to ensure satisfaction. When I opened the sash at home I was shocked and disappointed to see that the monogram was slanted, uneven, and uncentered (as evidenced in the attached photo). Also, the C kind of resembles a G. We brought the sash back into the store where the employee claimed that she "could not see it" and that it doesn't matter anyway as I would be "only wearing it for one hour." I don't care if I planned to wear it for 30 seconds, I paid for a professional service and received shoddy work with obvious poor attention to detail. Frankly I am embarrassed to wear this sash to graduation, when it is the Monogram Shoppe who should be embarrassed to have such unprofessional work shown to the public. It is almost laughable that a company would provide this sloppy work to a customer and pass it off as acceptable.

my stole for graduation! beautiful!

I got my stole for my college graduation embroidered here and I loved it! They are really nice and did exactly what I wanted. I'm not sure how much they charge per letter or how it works but I ended up paying $35, which was kind of expensive for me (being a college student lol) but it was worth it. I will definitely be back if I need anything embroidered!

Not centered. Empty space on the left is 2 7/8" and empty space on the right is 1/2". Mrs" is spaced further apart than "Chadbourne."

They have tons of a little bit of everything. They have tons of women's clothing, tons of men's clothing, tons of T-shirts, and a whole lot of shoes. Really! A lot of shoes! The store is what I would say is a step above shopping at a thrift store. What they do here is, offer the best of the best of vintage clothing. So, when you go in here, you know you're going to find high-quality items. This is not to say that they're cheap. For some, their prices may be considered a little bit high. But, again, what you're getting is the best of the best of vintage clothing, and sometimes you have to pay for that privilege. Depending on what you're looking for, this store may very well have it. From my experience, this store is most commonly geared towards a younger audience. They have tons of T-shirts, jeans, and a lot of stuff that could be considered on the more casual side of the picture. For example, when I shop a vintage store, I'm commonly looking men's sport coats and suits, and stuff along that line. They really don't have a good selection of these items. This is just something to keep in mind if you're looking for that kind of thing. But, on the other hand, if you're looking for all of the more casual style of clothing, they have a lot of it. Located on Hawthorne Boulevard, this store is fairly easy to find. They have a parking lot in the front and the rear, which sometimes can become kind of full. So, you may have to park on the street. This is because of the fact this store is a very popular shop. A lot of people come here, particularly on the weekends. And, when they have their sales, forget about it. The store is packed. One way or the other, if you're looking for that vintage piece of clothing, that really cool something, that T-shirt that you've been looking for forever, that pair of really cool shoes, or whatever else, this may be your place to find it.

I had enough on my one arm trying to pluck pieces to try out. One of the lovely ladies made sure my fitting room was started already well before my arm got tired. The checkout process was also very stress-free and nice, too. I got to interact with Juliann-- the lovely manager at this store location. She's such a hoot, and I loved sharing giggles with her. I'm looking forward to returning in the future to pick up my hemmed pants and to see what's new out there. Couldn't recommend this store location enough!

Over the past year, l've noticed a big improvement in how things are run, and I truly think the new store manager deserves credit for that. In previous years, when I brought in clothes to sell, my experiences with some of the buyers felt very unprofessional, in fact I had multiple bad experiences with one of the female buyers that I notice still works there. She was very rude and condescending and now when I come in to sell I specifically don't want her to attend me. However, this year has been a completely different story. The newer buyers seem much better trained, more organized, respectful, and clear in how they take care of their customers. The whole process feels smoother and more customer-focused now, which makes a huge difference. In fact, today I had a question about the pricing of some of my items and the new store manager was very helpful and I left feeling very happy! Because of these positive changes, I actually look forward to bringing items in again, and I feel more confident in the process when working with the newer staff. Overall, I'm glad to see the progress and hope it continues in this direction. I have also recommended this location to my family and friends and they love the store!

So, there are definitely trendier items here and clothes are organized based on different trends as well (Y2K, designer, vintage, etc). I like the openness and brightness of the store. It resembles its other location in LA. I like that the racks aren't overcrowded with too many items so you can actually slide the coat hangers and look at the items. I got 2 jackets and culotte pants from here. Each were $12.99. The store was very nicely organized and even had an armchair to lounge on. The shoes were in good condition. The bad: I saw several tops with holes, snags or frayed fabric. They don't have healthcare worker discounts like the thrift shop across the street has. The interesting: You can bring in 5 items at a time in the fitting room. One of the workers at the register was on her phone a lot but perhaps she was looking up values/prices of the clothes she was labeling? They do buy clothes here.
