The new layout at the Mill! Great burger and fries, and FAST service!

Reopened with a new layout! Go in order your food, get a pager to pickup your food when it goes off, and still great burgers and fries!! Great job on the new setup!

Oh my goodness, went here on a recommendation of a friend. Nice, bumpy (primitive road) ride. Such GREAT EATS. Everything is fresh and homemade. The beer bread they make ur stuff on is AMAZING. I got the patty melt. Incredible. Super friendly people too. I would seriously drive back here from Avondale to eat here

Every time I visit crown king I come here. I've had just about everything on the menu here throughout the years . The service is great, the folks here are welcoming and the surroundings are comforting. I usually come up here the back way from lake pleasant. Since I brought my parents this time I brought the road in from bumblebee right off the I-17. If you're in this neck of the woods camping, or wheelin, stop on in and let the crew feed your hunger with their menu items, you won't regret it.

This is our second visit, and the food tasted as good as the first time. We had the green chili which is well worth of trying. My mom ordered the ribeye steak. The steak was made to the order, and was delicious. My husband and I had the all everything burger on the beer bread and tasted really good. The staff are super friendly. Definitely recommend the place.

Stopped by to eat after Jeep off-road ride. Place is nicer than the saloon in town. Service was fine. Food was ok. Burger does not come on a bun and was toasted so it cuts up your mouth a little. Eh. Crown King is a cool quirky Arizona town. You don't really come here for the food.

I'm usually covered in dust or mud from the backroad, but that's par for the course in Crown King - only to be rewarded with some great food and rustic ambience at the Mill - steak, ribs, their great open-faced Reuben Sandwich - can't think of a better way to compliment a journey into the Bradshaw Mountains...

Great food, great service and beautiful views! Waitress was so friendly she sat with us a bit to chat.

They are open only on Saturdays and Sundays and have been coming here for decades. Food is amazing but make sure you get the pie too!

Rock Springs Cafe - Chocolate Cream Pie!

I can already hear the question: "Five stars... for this place?"…read moreYeah. And I mean it. Rock Springs Cafe is probably my favorite "tourist trap" in Arizona, and I don't use that term as an insult. It knows exactly what it is, and more importantly, it leans into it without apology. We stopped in yesterday with a group of nine after a night up in Sedona, heading back toward Phoenix. This has become a bit of a tradition for us, but it was the first visit for most of our extended family. Before we even got inside, they started noticing something unusual. People walking out were smiling, making eye contact, telling us, "Get the pie." Not once or twice. Over and over. It's got that kind of reputation. You walk in and it's part restaurant, part roadside curiosity. There's a gift shop right there selling pickled everything, jars lined up like a museum of vinegar and ambition, plus the usual mix of souvenirs and trinkets. It sets the tone immediately. This isn't trying to be refined. It's trying to be memorable. Because of our size, we were seated in the larger dining room. It's got that classic, slightly chaotic charm. The kind of place kids instantly love because there's so much to look at. Ours were fully entertained before the menus even landed. Food-wise, it delivers exactly what you want it to. I had the pulled pork Reuben, which hit the spot in that unapologetically indulgent way. Not delicate, not trying to impress a food critic. Just good, satisfying, and gone faster than I expected. The kids ordered off the kids menu, no complaints, no leftovers worth mentioning. Everything came out right, no issues, no drama. If I'm being completely honest, this probably lands at four stars on food alone. Solid, enjoyable, but not life-changing. Then Andrea shows up. Our server completely changed the experience. She was warm, genuinely friendly, and knew how to read the table. She gave us time when we needed it, checked in without hovering, chatted just enough to make it feel personal without slowing things down. Handling a table of nine isn't easy, and she made it look effortless. That bump from four to five stars? That's her. And yes, we got the pie. You don't come here and skip it. I went with the bourbon pecan, which has been my go-to forever, and it's still exactly what I want it to be. Rich, a little over the top, and absolutely worth it. Prices are reasonable, especially for a place that could easily coast on its reputation alone. Before you leave, do yourself a favor and check out the "Rare White Bat." It's one of those weird little details that somehow fits perfectly here. Bottom line. This place isn't perfect. It's better than that. It's consistent, it's self-aware, and it gives you exactly the experience you came for. And sometimes, that's worth more than perfection.

We thought we'd eat in the cafe before going to the Pie Box to purchase pies. It's okay mainly…read morebecause of the atmosphere, character of the cafe and, of course, those delicious pies. But the service is lacking and employees do not seem to be consistently pleasant. A refresher training of the staff in CX would be worth it. Those awesome pies are what gets them the extra star (2 instead of 1). :) We'll be back to purchase full pies to take with us, but we'll dine somewhere else.

Coming back to The Clinkscale for a second time--after such an unforgettable honeymoon experience…read moreback in November--just confirmed what we already knew: this place is truly something special. Traveling back to Arizona, we knew we had to return, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. The filet mignon is simply out of this world--served sizzling in a cast iron skillet with clarified butter, it's incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff consistently go above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. And Michael, the manager, is exceptional--so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel taken care of. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and consistency twice, let alone make you want to keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the greatest dining experiences in the USA. We'll absolutely be back again.
