These are HONEST and caring people- possibly the most important qualities in an auto-body shop. We were referred here by a friend to deal with a possible transmission issue in a 4-year old Toyota. Needless to say, we were FREAKING OUT about the possible costs for the repair. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement!! Before we came in, they "ballparked" an estimate between a few hundred dollars to ~$2500 (worst case scenario). So, my husband dropped the car off and they gave him a ride to work. The mechanic took at look at the transmission, confirmed there was some play and that we needed a new torque converter. The new estimate was now ~$4100 (which nearly killed me!!) because of the extent of work that would be needed. BUT, the shop called over to Toyota and learned that the converter was actually covered under an expanded warranty that I knew NOTHING about (yea, thanks Toyota for not telling anyone about this...). Fix it Fast actually recommended that we take it there and deal with them to get this replacement part under warranty and any other work needed done. They even wrote a summary of their observations so we had it specifically to speak to the mechanics at Toyota about. And the cost for all of this work? ZERO DOLLARS!! I literally couldn't believe it. This shop took the time to speak to us on the phone (repeatedly), to drive my husband to and from work so we could leave the car, to do the assessment of the repairs needed and write it up and charged us nothing. I often find myself telling people that customer service means more to me than most things and this place absolutely demonstrated how excellent customer care makes loyal clients. Shortly after which I had to travel to Massachusetts for medical reasons, needing to stay in Massachusetts for surgery and a fairly long PT rehab. During this time I had difficulty with my car. I was told my car needed the same repair John's shop had done on my car...big $$$. I knew it couldn't be true but had no idea what to do. I reached out to John HAUSER'S and John went ABOVE AND BEYOND, helping me trouble shoot, find a reputable garage, and HE called to apprise the garage owner about the case. I have no words!!! I have such respect and gratitude for John's kind, professional, honest, straightforward help!!!! This took time and effort away from his busy day with quite a few different interactions; not only calls with me but researching garages in the area I was in in Massachusetts, but also actually calling and talking with the owner of the garage I ended up taking my car for the service needed. This was an incredible experience from start to finish. I used Yelp's project tool to look for a…read moremechanic that had availability for a same-day brake and rotor replacement. I had a road trip coming up the next day and this was a true emergency. I took a chance on Keyes because of their close proximity and availability. Ryan messaged me back within 5 minutes of my inquiry asking to call for a consultation. We messaged back and forth and I was quoted a reasonable amount initially. I was able to drive over to the shop within 30 minutes of our consultation. When I arrived, Ryan greeted me and showed me where to drive my car. He is so personable and friendly and truly wants his customers to understand what services need done ASAP and which ones can wait until/before inspection. I opted for some additional filter replacements because he showed me the physical filters and explained why they were bad. He let me know my car most likely needed some additional services that would be needed to pass inspection and let me know it didn't need to be done today. He let me know how much those services would cost parts and labor wise, but he also let me know the time needed to repair that service as well. Marty, the mechanic working on my car, did not wait to begin working and checking for additional issues once it was lifted. He was extremely quick and knowledgeable. He is extremely communicative and overall from the initial consultation to the end result, I was only out about 3 hours (our chat, the drive, and the service itself).
