I bought a catalytic converter from them four years ago that's now leaking. I have my receipt that I bought it from this shop (even paid the shipping fee from California myself!) but don't have the warranty on hand. I'm pretty sure they never gave it to me as I don't know why I would keep this receipt but not the warranty. In the last three weeks, this shop has completely washed their hands of helping me even though the federal guidelines say the warranty is good for 8 years. They can't even tell me who they bought the part from so I can call myself, that's how disorganized they are. This shop is likely fine for minor repairs, but please do not go here for major issues like me. They do not stand behind their products or work. read more

Let me just start by saying I've been to a lot of mechanics and auto repair centers and this is by far the best one I've ever been to and the one I will always continue to go to no matter how far out of the area I am. The owner is very honest and very helpful and will do anything it takes to get you up and running again and is very knowledgeable and smart. I came here a couple times already and have always gotten honest answers and great results. I know most mechanics seem like they're just for the morning but I can put my word on it but this place is in it for your happiness and safety also. So if you're in the area even if it's just for an oil change stop by and see for yourself. The owner Pete Will give you all your options and if he doesn't have the parts on hand he will get them here very quickly. I have a Nissan Pathfinder that was just about ready for the junkyard. After he looked at it and found a couple things that were not expensive at all to fix I've already gotten another 36,000 miles and still drive it. He saved me countless money on more then one occasion. I've had simple repair work done as far as maintenance and oil changes I've also had an a whole exhaust replaced here before. read more

Very pleased with my experience here. I was able to schedule an oil change for the same day. It was completed quickly, and they notified me of a safety issue they identified on overall inspection. Most honest & helpful Auto Repair Shop. Being a women, i tend to have people try to over charge me/ tell me things are wrong when they are not. Ex: My Jeep was making a god awful noise, we thought something was wrong with my catalytic converter. The new one came, Pete put it in& still something was wrong. Come to find out it my was Light Bar above my windshield. Pete took out the Converter he just put it and fixed my Light Bar. What made me happiest was how Pete informed me about the mistake& didn't just let me go along with it with a big bill. My family & I bring all of our Vehicles to Atlast Auto Repair. read more

I went to this mechanic because of the positive reviews and how close it was to my home. I went for a standard oil change and was severely overcharged. (DOUBLE THE PRICE of what I've been charged by other mechanics). It was my fault for not asking price prior to leaving my car, but I like to have faith that people are trustworthy. Unfortunately, they took advantage of the situation and severely overcharged me for an oil change. They also went through my glove box which is a violation of my privacy. When I showed up to pick up my car, they handed me my inspection card. I was severely confused! Why am I being handed this? Why did you go through my belongings instead of just asking? I have a sinking feeling they handed me this because my inspection is due in two months and they were attempting to get me to renew it with them. That is sneaky behavior and it left me feeling so uncomfortable. I do not trust them and I am very upset that they took advantage of my time and my kind and trusting nature. I will not be returning and I hope that no one has to go through this same experience. read more

I first went to Atlast back in January when my car was damaged after a winter storm. Pete and Lorine are so welcoming and take the best care of you. Pete made sure to show me exactly what needed to be replaced and explained why each part needed to be replaced. It was helpful to understand what I was paying for. I took my car in for emissions and safety inspections. I was expecting a bill for about $90, but was handed a bill for nearly $210. What the. . . ? They had changed the oil, which I hadn't asked for and didn't need. It's a job that doesn't cost me more than $40, all in, but they wanted $68 for synthetic oil, and $15 for a filter. I get in the car, and find the sticker on the windshield that says the next oil change is due in 5000 miles. No! Synthetic oil change interval is 10,000 miles. The couple running the shop seems friendly, but they are thieves. Stay away! Don't go to the garage across the street either. They are no better. read more

The lady there is very unprofessional and unwilling to help. Needed receipts to provide proof to my insurance company and they refused to help. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! They will overcharge you and take much longer than is required to do the fix! read more

I needed a place close to work where I could get my oil changed and a state inspection. I dropped by here at 8:30 on a Tuesday morning and Pete said he could take care of me. Around 2 pm I got a call and I went to pick up my car. Pete explained everything he did, went over the charges and was really great. It is a Convenient neighborhood auto repair shop for us and they are always quick to help and to take care of us and our cars. We have had our 3 cars inspected/oil changed/brakes changed at this repair shop and are soooo happy to have found a local, honest, reasonable mechanic. For example, my daughter's 2007 Honda Civic was driven less than 5000 miles last year bc she's away at college. He charged me only $40 for the inspection because of this pa law that I did not know about and probably others don't either. I think he could've charged me the full amount (which I thought was reasonable anyway) and I would not have known. In fact I think we paid full price last year with our old mechanic across the street (even tho it was the same low mileage). I will be entrusting all my cars to Pete in the future. Easy to get an appointment, quality service, very personable, reasonable. Couldn't ask for any more in a mechanic!!! read more

I called this repair shop because my brakes were making strange sounds and I have to go on a long trip shortly. They were kind to fit me in at the last minute and checked the entire car over carefully. Turns out that no, I didn't need brakes at all but that a clip was broken on one of them. I can't tell you how much I appreciated their honesty. When they didn't have the part and it was late afternoon, Pete's wife Lorine jumped in her car and went to get it at the supplier. WOW! Now I know that my car is safe to drive to St. Louis as soon as my daughter in law goes into labor! Peace of mind is invaluable and I thank both of them for giving me that feeling of safety. Took a friend's car here for an inspection. A part had rotted and a recent battery change messed with the emissions readings, but Pete was very friendly and explained everything well. AC started clicking a few days later so I took it back and he immediately took a peek at the motor and adjusted it saying it should probably be looked more in depth in the fall but was fine for now.
