I've had my car serviced by John HAUSER'S a few years now.. ever since I moved to this area. Right from the get-go I noticed how polite and respectful they are, actually treating you like you and your business matter and are important to them. They are honest and direct about the repairs they do, always explaining options or necessities, prices, etc. Their pricing is solid too. But the BIG point I want to make here is about the character behind the business. I had some rather extensive repairs done on my car last year. Shortly after which I had to travel to Massachusetts for medical reasons, needing to stay in Massachusetts for surgery and a fairly long PT rehab. During this time I had difficulty with my car. I was told my car needed the same repair John's shop had done on my car...big $$$. I knew it couldn't be true but had no idea what to do. I reached out to John HAUSER'S and John went ABOVE AND BEYOND, helping me trouble shoot, find a reputable garage, and HE called to apprise the garage owner about the case. I have no words!!! I have such respect and gratitude for John's kind, professional, honest, straightforward help!!!! This took time and effort away from his busy day with quite a few different interactions; not only calls with me but researching garages in the area I was in in Massachusetts, but also actually calling and talking with the owner of the garage I ended up taking my car for the service needed. The net result of the repair saved me HUNDREDS of dollars (over a thousand) and a car that's safe to drive back to Pennsylvania in a few weeks! I would give John and John HAUSER'S garage a HUNDRED Yelp stars if I could!!! It is rare that businesses now days treat customers respectfully....but John and his Company not only treated me with respect, but with honesty, kindness, and effort that will stick in my mind forever, inspiring me to "pass it forward"! Once again, John, Joe and the team delivered outstanding service. I had an appointment to get my brakes replaced at another place that I made on Tuesday and by Friday they "forgot" to schedule it, despite me receiving an email saying it was received. Things happen, I know but at this point I have been without a car for 4 days and I had resigned myself to the idea of finding a place that maybe could get me in the following day at best. John's crew took me in that same day and got me set within an hour or two with a level of service that was on point. The best part of this is I didn't faint when I saw the invoice. This business is what real customer service is all about! They take care of people. If they mess up, they acknowledge it and correct it. A few nights back, I forgot to grab my keys and they closed before I could even p/u my keys. I thought I was stuck with no car (work next door to the shop). It all started maybe 7 or 8 years ago when we realized our good friend Michele and my grandmother were both raving about the same mechanic. Since then, my wife and I have taken every car we've driven to John and his crew and we'd never go anywhere else. Everyone we've ever done business with at John's garage have been incredibly nice and helpful. More importantly, they're HONEST. You'll never get any shady extra repairs or anything like that...in fact John will usually go out of his way to get your car back in shape in the most affordable way possible (without any dangerous or illegal shortcuts, of course). We had an unexpected meeting with a huge pothole over the Christmas holiday, major damage to the radiator, all fluid leaked out. We left our car at John's overnight, without an appointment, we were 30 miles from home and without a go-to mechanic in this Drexel Hill area. I counted 62 cars in his parking area. Not a space to be found...that is usually a great sign or a really bad sign. In this case, it was a great sign...a wonderful testimony to a shop that does it right, on time and with a reasonable cost. John brought my car in within 2 hours the next day, and had it completely repaired within 24 hours. I could never have imagined such excellent service, truly above and beyond. Oh, and those other 62 cars, they were down to 45 when I left, but many more had come to replenish the stable of cars needing service. The main thing I have always been looking for in a mechanic is just someone who you know what give you the run-around and rip you off with unnecessary charges and add-ons. Unfortunately, my history with auto-mechanics, like most people I bet, has been an up-and-down journey. I came here off of a friend's recommendation and I am finally confident in saying I have found my current and future mechanic in these guys. Extremely fast, far more affordable than I expected on all 3 of my experiences here, and Andrew explains everything to you in a way that is very easy to grasp even for people not overly knowledgeable with cars. Just too busy, too packed...I was expecting, after three days, that about five things (both that I had mentioned and that they told me needed to be fixed) would have been fixed, but no. I had a car that would of cost a lot of money to pass inspection and John told me straight up it wasn't worth me putting money for the repairs, most mechanics would of did the work and took my money and the car would of broke down in a month. These guys are great. My wife blew up her engine, and they got it in right away, and took apart part of the engine, confirmed the problem and just charged us for the oil change. That was 2 years ago, and now we only go here for work. They are all very nice, accomidating, and fair. I used to be a mechanic, so i know when people are honest about car repairs. This is honestly the first shop I've ever used where I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. The number of cars outside of the shop tells you all you need to know.
