Took my car in for a recent inspection. I also requested an oil change even though it was under the mileage due. They called to verify I wanted that done as they normally go by mileage. Nice! I still went ahead with it. It took a little longer than expected since they couldn't find the key to my wheel lug nuts (surprise!) Which would have caused havoc if that had happened on the side of the road. Glad they found the issue. Ready the next day and for a reasonable charge. Also a local U-Haul dealer and known for their quirky sign. Would recommend their services. read more

I love this place so much. They are always so friendly and so quick to help. I've been here for tire patches, oil changes, tire rotation, inspections, brake replacement, and a soon to be electrical issue with a trunk latch. I also had an issue with one of my cars being rear ended while parked, and being bullied by a collision center who took apart the car. Bob stepped in to offer assistance and help me and offered referrals. Extremely grateful for Bob. The peace of mind on the quality of care and commitment to excellence truly does still exist and this is the place to have those expectations met. Justin and the ladies at the desk are also fantastic. They always remember my name and details about me that makes me feel like family. read more

About two years ago I got a new car - brand new, which I never expected to do again but as some may recall, it was a wacky time when used car prices were nuts and interest rates were low. Anyway, I haven't needed to do more than oil changes and tire rotations however at the last oil change at a place that rhymes with Yep Toys, I was given a grim update that my brakes were bad - definitely needed pads and maybe even needed front rotors - and two tires were recommended to be changed. I paid for the oil change and for the first time took the 2021 Honda Insight to Bob and his team. He called me, and said the brakes were practically perfect - Hybrid cars don't use the brakes for all the stopping, he explained, so I could get to 70,000 miles or even more before I need to look at them (I am a little more than half that). He also said the tires were fine and could last me a bit. He did rotate them for me though. Total cost had I listened to the people at Yep Toys? Over $1,000 for sure (I never got a quote but the brakes would have been a few hundred and I want to replace all four ties at once which if I use the recommended Michelin brand is at best several hundred bucks. Total cost for Bob: Around $50. Bob is a nice guy, but he's even more honest than he is nice. read more

Perfect service. Very seldom when you hand over money to someone do you receive a perfect experience. At Ramsey's you will. Reasonably priced, honest, friendly... And the people working the counter were fun and sort of sassy. I greatly appreciated this. If you're in Delco and need a mechanic, you'd be silly to not at least CONSIDER Ramsey's Service Center. Recommendation: Make an appointment online. And like most mechanics, they're not going to be done instantly, so prepare for a 24 hour + wait. Small price to pay for good, honest service. read more

I have to say that this is THE BEST car mechanic in Upper Darby, and it's not even close. There are people lined up to get in here with their cars because they know that they will be treated fairly and receive top-notch service on their vehicles. I have had some issues with my car and have been able to get the most honest, quality work done here. Highly recommend! read more

[466] Flat! I need a place to help repair my flat at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. Due to the positive yelp reviews I called to see if they would help. They told me to bring it in. They repaired my flat quickly and for a fair price. Everyone was really nice. They could use a bench outside since the inside only has 2 chairs so the 3 of us waited out front for the car to be finished. There is no gas sold at this station. I'll definitely be back. read more

I have been to Ramsey's several times few times for tire issues and once to have my brakes and rotors fixed.. the price was tad bit high I thought for a 2017 Ford, but I trusted Ramsey and the also have 2year warranty. Customer service is impeccable and the owner is also hands on. As a female who doesn't really trust mechanics, your in good hands when taking your car here. read more

I really like Ramsey's. They're honest people and do a good job. I would still recommend them. However, I feel like it's worth mentioning that lately they've been incredibly busy which impacted my vehicle (and I'm sure many others) getting seen in a timely manner. I needed an emergency repair on my vehicle, and of course I wouldn't expect it to be seen/worked on right away, however, it sat on the lot for almost 3 weeks and did not move, with no plan in place for it to be looked at. Now, I understand Covid and it's related labor shortages, however, I wish I was told that from the start, instead of wasting almost 3 weeks to just have my vehicle sit there. To be fair it was going to be a job that required 5-7 mechanic hours, but I was just constantly being told that it was going to be looked at "next week" and then when next week rolled around, it was the same story. This wasn't the first time this has happened here as well. I feel as though because of all of the raving reviews this shop has received, had led to a service demand that is difficult to handle. With any shop, a small hiccup with someone's repair can lead to service delays for others. However, here that is multiplied. Overall, I had a frustrating experience here and, unfortunately, I had to find a different mechanic after not getting a clear answer on when a repair could be achieved. read more

Bob Ramsey truly cares about his customers. I trust his shop to always deliver excellent quality work on my 2012 Nissan Maxima.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Words I have never said about a service center, lol. I can not recommend them enough. They are thorough, kind, and trustworthy...always going the extra mile. It is like going to your favorite uncle, you know he is going to take care of you. read more

Can't thank Ramsay's top notch service I received today!!! You all were simply the best. Very polite and caring. God Bless you all for the courtesy you showed me in my time of need. I'm one very happy an satisfied customer read more

Today was my first time at Ramsey's. I took my car for an inspection and oil change. Bob called me to let me know that the car wasn't yet due for an oil change. That's a honest mechanic...Bob also gave me some coupons towards my inspection. Very friendly and professional staff. I'll be going back. This place has been open since 1949. Pretty cool little family business. Thanks!! read more

They just over charge a lot, $350 to fill my freon. On the bill, the Freon used was only about $100 and $250 was charged for just labor. Expensive! read more

I'm new to the Drexel Hill area and am so pleased to have found Ramsey Service Center. They are very fast and squeezed me in once before a trip with almost no notice. Another time, I had a question about whether I needed an expensive repair - new fuel injection - and they were very honest. They looked everything over and let me know that it wasn't necessary. read more

Bob is everything you want in a mechanic! Honest, trustworthy, knows his stuff, and doesn't try to upsell you. He has been our go-to guy since moving to the area in 2015 minus a few months when we lived in the city and tried someone else -- which we instantly regretted and started driving out here because he's that good. :-) If you're looking for a mechanic who you can establish a long-standing relationship with, Bob has got you covered! read more

Awesome staff and great customer service provided. The owner is very knowledgeable and patient when explaining the problems, causes and solutions. It helps to have an appointment because they are super busy. read more

Have used Bob Ramsey and his crew for several years. Making appointments is always easy. They're friendly and accommodating - and they know cars! Best of all, they know that no one likes spending money on car repairs. They give honest advice about what needs to be fixed and what can be left alone, and - when appropriate - the offer to find used parts that will be cheaper but will do the job. I know my car will need work again - either maintenance or repair - and, when it does, I'll give Bob Ramsey a call. read more

Bob Ramsey has been taking care of my vehicles for almost 30 years! Why? Because besides he and his crew being very knowledgeable about vehicle repair and maintenance, Bob is a rare commodity... He's honest!!! I can always trust that Bob is only doing work on my vehicle that is necessary to complete repairs! So, that's why I have been going to Ramsey's Service Center for decades! read more

I'm a nomad and the biggest pain in the ass with moving is finding a decent mechanic. I recently moved to PA and my NJ registration was almost up, so I knew I had to hit shop for an inspection. Concerned about something a previous shop pointed out, I was ready to fork out a wad of cash to stay compliant here and get my emissions and inspection stickers. Turned out I needed some work done on something else, thankfully with a smaller price tag, and they got me squared away. Strongly recommend calling and speaking to a person before just stopping by as they seem to be pretty busy and might not catch messages. I was able to make an appointment for the following day, was without my ride for an extra day because parts needed some more time or something for delivery, but otherwise was able to get the nonsense taken care of relatively painlessly. I appreciated not dealing with an upsell on unnecessary/premature repairs. read more

I HATEEEEE to give a bad review but I have to do what I have to do I've always come here for service and loved it here but after my last visit I will not be returning. I had an appointment for a oil change at 8am, I brung my car in at 8:05. From my knowledge there was one person in front of me. I told them I would come back in like an hour. And like they usually say. They'll call when its done. I returned at 10:30 because i still didnt hear anything. When I get there. They tell me "of well we didnt know how long you were going to be so we didnt start you yet." So what was the point of the appointment? Did they think I was just going to have my car chilling here for the day, for something that takes 45 minutes to do? I am extremely disappointed, but they are good people I dont want to take away from the shop. But expect to be there for awhile if you have something to do... read more

We've had a number of good experiences with Bob Ramsey. He's never tried to over sell us on service, often trying to help us keep it as affordable as possible. For example, when our car couldn't pass inspection due to an issue he gave us a number of different options in order to make it compliant with emphasis on keeping the price low. Bob is honest and trustworthy and we'll continue to take our vehicles here read more

I took my car here for an inspection and I was told it wouldn't pass without new brakes. Took it to another auto body shop and they told me I didn't even need new brakes yet and they couldn't believe that I was told I needed new ones. The folks at Ramsey's are top-notch. Well-priced, honest service. couldn't recommend them enough!

Ramsey's Service station provides awesome service. They are knowledgeable in the service they provide and will give it 200% to find and locate the problem. I contacted them for what appeared to be an electrical. They suggested I bring my 2006 vehicle in for a diagnostic test. I figured what do I have to loose. I am so happy we did. Something that could have been very costly was repaired for a reasonable price in a justified amount of time. I would refer anyone to take their vehicles to Ramsey's if you are having car problems. I will definitely return and feel confident if taking any vehicle for service. They are friendly and professional. Thanks Ramsey read more

Ramsey's is still the best! Took our car here the other day. The outside has been updated/renovated but there still are gas pumps present. Bob, is still super friendly and explains everything. He doesn't try to pull any fast ones and will even recommend not doing certain repairs, that chain repair shops will recommend, if he feels they are a waste of money. Bob is one of the few people I truly trust to fix my car and give me a fair deal. read more

Ramsey's is the absolute BEST mechanic I have ever used. They have always done a wonderful job with both of our cars, and I've never had any issues with their service. The service is also affordable and I never worry that they are doing more repairs than necessary - I trust them completely. Additionally, they have exceptional customer service. They always explain the repair in detail to me, have checked my tires for free more times than anyone should expect, and always do an interior cleaning after service. I honestly cannot say enough good things about them. read more

OK...I, normally, don't do reviews unless a shop is as bad as it gets. After years of bad experiences, I was sure industry routine meant an auto shop could not be honest, reasonably priced AND good all at the same time: no way. Then, Ramsey's turned that all around, Ramsey's is, indeed, as good as it gets. The owner, Bob, is honest, considerate, personable and professional, in one; the kind of man you'd want to vote for President. I used to dread car problems because service meant risking the shark pond again. The anxiety is over until somebody pinches me, I wake-up and the bubble burst. Ramsey's is my Go-To shop, now. Wonderful service! I took my car to Ramseys to get an inspection, but was concerned it wouldn't pass due to a crack in the windshield. I thought I might have to take it elsewhere first to get the windshield fixed before inspection. To my surprise, Bob Ramsey went above & beyond to reach out to an outside service for me, got the windshield fixed for me that very day, & I didn't even have to do a thing. It even ended up being cheaper than what I was originally quoted at Safelite if I were to get it fixed myself. I definitely feel like my car is in great hands at Ramseys. read more

This was my first visit to Ramsey's, I'm sure it won't be my last! They gave honest advice on the repairs needed for my transmission and were completely transparent on the cost break-down. Thankful to have found a good spot, I will definitely be giving them a call for future repairs. read more

I had to get my car inspected and I didn't want to pay the ridiculously high prices at the dealership, so I came to Yelp! to help me find someone local that wouldn't rip me off. I'm lucky I did, because I found an awesome mechanic that I'll be taking my car to all the time. I made my appointment a week ahead of time and a few days before the appointment, I spoke to the owner Bob and let him know that I needed my car by a certain time. He let me drop it off before the mechanics came in and had them start on it right away so I'd be done in time. I also complained that I thought my brakes were noisy, and he checked them out. Low and behold, I needed new brakes! At 25,000 miles, I was, needless to say, not very happy! Unfortunately that's what you get when you buy a new car and they use less than quality parts on it! Bob however, helped calm my nerves about the whole situation and I decided to get all of the work done at that time. While all the work did cost a lot more than I was expecting to pay, he used coupons he had offered on his website and was able to bring the costs down for me. I really appreciate the fact that he went out of my way to help lessen the blow to my wallet. Bob was extremely personable and even had my car ready an hour earlier than I needed it. I highly recommend him and his company for any services you may need, and look forward to working with him in the future (hopefully I'll only need him for regular maintenance though! ;-) ) read more

From my husband: I was a first time customer to Ramsey's Service Center, and even on my first visit I was treated as a VIP. Everyone I spoke to at Ramsey - from the person who scheduled my appointment, to the people at the shop - were extremely friendly and professional. I dropped my car off on a Saturday morning near the end of the month and I had scheduled quite a bit of service for my vehicle, however the crew at Ramsey were able to return my car the same day, even while short a mechanic. All service was discussed with me in detail over the phone before being performed. When I picked up my car, it was in great running condition. Recommendations were made for future service. The prices were extremely reasonable and very close to the estimate discussed in advance. The interior of my car was even cleaner than I had left it. I really feel like they went above and beyond. After taking my car to Ramsey, I would not trust anyone else to service her. I strongly recommend giving Ramsey a try if you haven't already. They're easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for - look for the Lukoil with Uhaul rentals on Burmont road. read more

I call Tuesday morning for a price quote and didn't receive a call back until Friday morning. I took my car to another shop. I don't think you should have to wait 3 days for a return phone call. I recently moved to the area and had been looking for a good, reputable place for car repairs. A month ago, my car needed work and I brought it to the dealer. I was overcharged and unhappy with the service, so when part of the undercarriage was hanging off my car, I was determined to find another place. After reading the yelp reviews I gave Ramsey's a shot and I am glad I did! I spoke with Bob on the phone and he was friendly and helpful before I even made my appointment. In route to the appointment the damage became worse and I needed a tow from AAA. Bob was very helpful on the phone and made space to work on my car when it got there. When I arrived, they brought my car right in and made a temporary repair while a new part is being ordered. He was courteous the entire time I was there, made me feel at ease, and all for a very reasonable price! After making a temporary repair to secure the undercarriage while the new part comes in, they drove the car around the block to ensure everything was safe. My husband and I are both convinced that this is our new go-to car repair shop. They recently got out of the gas business, so if you do go to them, there is currently a big Lukoil sign out front. read more
