We are from the Cleveland area. Stopped here mainly because we wanted an adult beverage with a meal. Staff was super friendly and the food and chocolate martinis were great. Spoke with the manager and she gave a quick layout of the beautiful building. Really wish this establishment was close to where we live lol. Will definitely stop here again in next time we are out this way. read more

The Service was phenomenal. We were just stopping by while on a long road trip and this was a very nice place to get a great meal. My daughter was not crazy about the gnocchi and they took it off the bill. To me the food was absolutely amazing. I had a spinach salad without the bacon. Both of us loved the artichoke dip! Try it! We found this via Yelp passing through Ohio. My husband left saying that was one of the best burgers he's ever had. He had the one with peanut butter, a new experience for both of us and I had the Met Burger which was seasoned to perfection and you can't go wrong with an over easy egg added to it. We split the brussel sprout salad. It was a nice, light, flavorful salad. The husband had a tough time making up his mind because there are so many great options on the menu. Nice place, I had the Von Von chicken, it was very tasty. Also had a couple old-fashioned drinks they were very good. Spinach salad was delicious. Bartender was very friendly. The only thing and I didn't like was the waitress I overheard bashing our president. She has colored hair and wears more makeup than both Tami Fay Baker and MiMi from the Drew Carey show. She probably would not have liked my Maga hat if I had worn it. read more

I travel all over the county and have experienced some great restaurants and this is right on the top. You would be extremely hard pressed to find better anywhere. It's felt right walking in. Great staff and a very creative chef who is not at all scared of blending spices that are well balanced. Great job! Bar staff knowledgeable and very friendly! It would be nice if they offered gluten free buns to go with the burgers instead of going without any bread for people with GF allergies. Weekday lunch. I was seated immediately. The service was amazing! Our server boxed up our appetizer and made sure we had enough sauce to accompany our take home. Nice touch. The Met is in the heart of down town Lima OH. The parking is fair in the evening time on the street but their parking lot is hit or miss. The food is amazing and whether you sit inside or outside the service is good. The Met is a little pricey but it's worth every cent. With today's fast pace industry The Met closes at 9pm during the week which tells me that they either really know their is no money to be made at this time or they value their employees and don't want to keep them for anymore time than they have to. Either way makes no difference to me other than I need to plan accordingly if I want to get a table. Steak is not worth the price. You can get a better quality and cooked steak at Texas Roadhouse. Don't waste your money.

If you are within 60 miles of Lima, OH at any given time, it makes sense to head to The Met for a drink, appetizer, meal or all three! We were in town visiting our niece, a local news anchor, and she insisted on heading there.She said it would be the third time she was there that week. We asked if she wanted to head somewhere else, but she really wanted us to go to The Met. I understand why now. Service was personal. Food was fantastic. A classy little place in downtown Lima. I never thought the words classy and Lima would be uttered in the same sentence but I have been impressed. The Met has a great atmosphere and will help to appease the people in Lima who are searching for a slightly more upscale experience. Prices are good by food and quality standards but are probably a little high for your average night out in Lima. I took my grandma here for the Thursday night wine tasting and we had an awesome time. The patrons are all very friendly. Volume level is a little loud but it was, to me, the sound of a good time. I want to give this place 5 stars because of how much more enjoyable I think it makes a night out in Lima, however, I have one complaint with the service. There appeared to be only one server handling all of the tables and at times our food/drinks took longer to arrive than expected. When we questioned the waiter about one of our dishes, we were given some sassy attitude instead of apologizing for the delay and moving on. Rookie mistake. read more

This is such a great restaurant. I was in Lima, Ohio for a soccer tournament but I didn't want to go to any regular "Olive Garden" for dinner. I found "The Met" here on Yelp and decided to try it out. BEST. FOOD. EVER. I'm a vegan, and luckily they mentioned on their website that they had vegetarian and vegan options. Our server mentioned that there was a vegan wrap with spinach, quinoa, roasted red peppers, onions, and warm hummus in a wrap. I decided to try it and I was so glad I did.
