Classic Alpine
Julie W.

Came here on a Sunday casually, server was great and ambiance as well. The food just isn't my preference, nothing on the restaurant since it is a chain. Ordered Classic Alpine appetizer and the Coq Au Vin base with Steak Lovers and Pacific Rim for $117 for two. I feel like for the amount of food it was not worth the price. In order for the experience to be worth it, definitely have to get the 4 course or something. Just found it mid, almost like a white version of hotpot. So 3 stars for price + 0.5 stars for hospitality.

We had a great time at the melting pot. The food is always delicious and the service is great. The restaurant is nice and usually quiet. We enjoyed the classic alpine cheese, caesar salad, the court bouillon broth for cooking our meats (2 kinds of steak, shrimp, salad) and veggies, and we finished with the s'mores chocolate. Super yummy!

Went to this location for my partner and i's anniversary. (3rd time here) Every time we come to this place it is great. The food was amazing, fresh and didn't smell off like some hot pot/cook at your table places do. The service was outstanding, I put in our reservation that it was our anniversary and they presented us with a rose, hand signed card from staff, and a cute plate with "happy anniversary" written on it. The ambiance of this restaurant is so private and calm, perfect for dates or relaxed dinners with friends or family. Lights are low and it's not too loud. Jeff was our waiter, outstanding!

Friday night date night was a pleasure due to the fantastic service of Desmond and the delicious food at the Melting Pot. The three course meal was more than enough for two. The place had a nice charm to it. Seating was private and relaxed. Restrooms also clean and well maintained. There was even a pleasant piece of Art work presented to our table.

The Food is amazing, and the hospitality is great. The price is a little high but it's totally worth it, and you get what you pay for! Always love coming here for date night.

Cheese fondue, Quattro Fromage

It was my daughter's 18th birthday, and she chose the restaurant. It had been ~20 years since I've been there last. With a party of three, we ordered the dinner for 2 ($95) and cheese and protein a la carte. The experience is great, no doubt. Our server was fantastic, knew his food, was on his game. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded for a Wednesday evening, but there was a table of college coeds that were loud and obnoxious. Not The Melting Pot's fault. We each ordered filet and shrimp, started with the quattro fromage (delicious!). There were a few delicious Caesar salads, really tasty. The filet was very good, shrimp were tasty. Finally, the s'mores fondue desert was so very tasty. Everything we had was well done and no regrets. The reason I took one star away from the review was price. With three waters (it's still almost Dry January), and the food, the bill was close to $170 - didn't seem or feel like a $170 meal for three. At least not to me. But... the food, experience, and service was excellent! If you enjoy making your own food over good conversation, come here!

Samantha the hostess was very welcoming and kind! Collin our server was top notch! It was my first time and he explained everything with patience and made me feel excited for the ride! It was a date night for us and while it was a weekday we didn't anticipate shouting kids a few tables away. I wish we had a more quiet dinner. The manager stopped by to check on us and that was a nice touch. The food was great, service was great! We will be back but we will request a more secluded table next time!

We returned to the Towson location to celebrate an anniversary! Due to the traffic & rain, we were running late. We called and the staff said "No problem!" When we arrived, the staff were at the door to greet us and sat us immediately. The waitress came, introduced herself and took our order. Each of the 3 bountiful courses were served in a VERY timely manner without us feeling hurried. The waitress checked on us throughout the evening (we could not ask for a more attentive waitress). Even though we finished our meal and dessert and were just talking, our waitress still checked on us. THIS is the experience that tops ALL others!! 6+

Quattro Formaggio

One of my favorite restaurants and they never disappoint. There were only 2 of us but we couldn't decide on the same cooking style and chocolate, so the waitress happily moved us to a bigger table so we could have 2 pots. I sooo appreciate the extra mile & amazing customer service!

Fantastic place to enjoy good food and the company of friends! Service was impeccable, and the ambiance was conducive to conversation and sharing of the wide variety of food options.

Oil Fondue Menu - Land & Sea / Fiesta

FOOD: Really good. We had the Quattro Formaggio and the Strawberry Capese Salad. Our friends took a full course and had the Land & Sea too. Everything I saw looked really good. Everything I tasted was good. Only one thing- I wish we could have ordered a little meat from the a la carte menu. (Like meatballs not the charcuterie board.) I will say that the choice to do the Quattro Formaggio and the Strawberry Caprese made our meal way less heavy than it otherwise might have. Would recommend! AMBIANCE: Honestly, we were seated near the tables by the bar. That area seems a bit more sparse? The main room seemed to have some nice lights up top. Scheme is fairly modern. Just a slightly different vibe between those two spaces though. Tangerine by Glass Animals is playing. Lighting is not romantic or soft but not overwhelming (small exploded bulbs hanging top.) SERVICE: Excellent. 5/5 No issues. Our server explained the process really well and was super friendly and prompt. Note: Three people fell because the floor was wet. I do think it's just the tile material - that when it gets wet, it's extra slippery. It fits the aesthetic but when it comes time for upgrades, I'd say maybe a safer option for the employees... They all handled their falls really well though.

After a long week I decided to make reservations on the spur for an impromptu evening out. The website reservation system was super simple. Although I was not celebrating anything special this evening you are able to indicate what's bring you out and customize your dining experience. I''ve been to The Melting Pot but not this location. I was underwhelmed by the interior. It's very dark and there were visible spider webs above the exit signage. Greeted promptly, we were taken to our seats in a small intimate table for two. The decor and aesthetics give nothing. Just dark warehouse vibes with string lights. Our server was friendly and welcoming by the time she arrived to take our order I had plenty of time to scan the drink and food menu to decide on the meal. Drinks arrived and unfortunately they weren't good. After I few small sips as the first course arrived I apologized that I would need to send my drink back. It tasted like coconut rum and ice nothing close to a sangria. We were told the bartender was new and the drink was removed from the bill. The cheese course was yummy, but I needed to request for a little more heat to thin out the cheese. After we saw how the controls worked for the pot we just adjusted on our own the remainder of the meal. I would estimate each course was given roughly 25 minutes before the next. This is the perfect place if you want to enjoy uninterrupted conversation because this dinner experience is not meant to move quickly. I wished I wasn't so tired so I could fully enjoy the pace of the meal- but I was sleepy by end of the cheese. Next was the salad. I love a traditional Caesar, but this version contained nuts and pumpernickel croutons. After salad was the main dish. I like that each person can pick their own course and the table doesn't have to share the same course. By the time we finished the main I knew I was too tired to enjoy dessert but it was brought out and we tried a few pieces before requesting for it to be packed up. Good parts: friendly server, offered more items for cheese course, easy reservation system. Areas for improvement: decor and consistent cocktails.

Tori the manager was nothing less than awesome! She assisted me with planning my birthday dinner effortlessly! I was stressed because I changed venues last minute and she made the transition so seamless! Zach -our waiter was amazing. He was patient and attentive and explained everything we had questions with! The food was so good and we enjoyed every minute of our time at The Melting Pot in Towson, MD. The ambiance was really laid back. I wish I could literally give Tori a gift for her being so sweet and supportive with my reservation details. I'm going to see if I can find her management team because she is truly an asset to their team! Her level of professionalism should be shouted to anyone that will listen and can learn from her. It should be showed on a much larger scale for everyone to see!

Make sure to make a reservation. Weekend reservations are impossible. On a weekday, we were able to book same day. Top notch service. Accepts credit card. Their menu changes. We showed up for a reservation but had to wait. The staff was nice and gave us a complimentary charcuterie board. Tavern board (charcuterie board) - was really good. Nice spread of salami and cheese. It's a nice precursor to the main meal Roasted oysters- tasted fresh. There's extra condiments on top, I thought was excessive Oyster pie- pretty interesting. Oyster was fresh, the crust of pie was good. I would skip next time Hog neck clams-really good. Tasted fresh. The real winner was the sauce. The complimentary bread was used to soak up the sauce. The sauce was so so good. I would get this again for the sauce. Fish and chips- cooked very well. Great presentation. Scallops - were exquisite and cooked perfectly. We've been here for casual date nights, Valentine's dinner, and the last time we came was for our friends renewing their vows after 10 years of marriage. That alone says a lot about the kind of place it is. It fits both everyday moments and really meaningful ones. What stands out first is the atmosphere. There's a warmth to the space that makes it feel inviting right away. It has a rustic, polished look with a lot of character, but it never feels stiff or overly formal. It's the kind of place where you can tell thought was put into every detail, but it still feels comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy yourself. For me, the experience starts before the food even hits the table. The space has a calm, intentional energy to it. It's perfect for slowing things down and actually enjoying your time, especially with someone you care about. The food is where it really separates itself. Everything feels carefully prepared and well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients, and that always comes through in the flavor. Nothing feels thrown together or generic. The menu itself gets you excited before you even order, and the food lives up to it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't just feel like a place serving food, it feels like a place creating an experience. The dishes have personality. There's intention behind them. It's not about being flashy, it's about doing things right. The service adds to that as well. Every time we've gone, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. It makes the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Another thing I like is that it feels distinctly Baltimore without feeling ordinary. It has a real identity to it, and that makes it memorable. My wife and I keep coming back because it feels like time well spent. Good food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place that actually stays with you after you leave. Overall, this is easily one of the more memorable dining experiences in Baltimore. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something that feels meaningful, not just another night out.

Those items are placed in your own pot which cooks in front of you. New Generation also offers a bar with lots of different self serve sauces and additional flavorings. The waitress assigned to my wife and I was very friendly. She took the time to go through the process with my wife and I. She offered many suggestions, answered our questions and was very attentive. The falafel was too hard on the outside that I could not pierce my fork through it. It was almost as if they deep fried it multiple times.
